So I'm having an interesting debate with my guild mates on if Ventress should be considered a Sith, my perspective is no...
1. The rule states only two, Dooku was apprenticed to Sidious, Ventress to Dooku, all at the same time. Three people.
2. The rule states "Only two, no more, no less". But it doesn't exactly state anything about two groups of Sith. Since Maul is rightfully a Sith and was apprenticed to Sidious. We can assume Plageuis died at least a brief amount of time before Maul supposedly did. Since Sidious speaks of the rule of two on Mandalore and refers to Maul as his apprentice in reference to the rule of two. Regardless on when Plageuis died, Maul never did and it was awhile before Dooku could be considered a Sith
3. So arguably Maul became his own group of Sith? He had rightful claim to the legacy of Bane, Sidious refers to him as a "Rival" and assuming he means Sith rival. Maul respects the rule of two, he mentions it to Savage who he takes as his apprentice.
In TCW there was two groups.
Sidious > Dooku > Ventress?
Maul > Savage
Not sure if Dooku ever refers to Ventress as Sith, Dooku says dark side, I believe he said the same thing to Savage in the brief time he was with him.
My guild mates all think she is a Sith, not sure if any of them have seen TCW... thoughts?

Savage was an official Sith in Maul's rival Sith Order.
Ventress was an assassin in Sidious' Sith Order, but was not inducted as a Sith Lord in that Order or any other.
So Savage is closer to a Sith than Ventress is, from that perspective.

Yeah, I consider Maul and Savage to be their legitimate Sith Order. Ventress... not really. That'd be like making Krell and Barriss Sith almost.

So Savage is closer to a Sith than Ventress is, from that perspective. That's how I saw it. Mauls order is legit since he is apart of Banes legacy. In many ways Maul has more claim then Dooku too
