Newan What are some good strategies? My current team is: Imperial Guard, Clone War Chewbacca, Talia, Jedi Consular and Cad Bane. I also have IG-88, Luke Skywalker and a Jawa at higher levels... And I'm trying to get Sidious and Old Daka.

And I'm trying to get Sidious and Old Daka. Old Daka is pretty good, you should really, really farm Luminara first from Galatic War, she's such a strong character. Has a good heal and a strong force push ability. Honestly Cad Bane sucks before you reach a high level, he needs his good gear that only comes from level 70+ and even then he's not considered to be the greatest. Luke Skywalker is a noob trap, one I fell for too  he's not good at all, on the same cantina level Geonosian Soldier or Lando are much better choices, both are extremely strong. Lando has more benefits cause he's a scoundrel and Rebel though. Sidious is the usual first guy from Arena, he should be you leader until around level 70, after that he falls off. |

Or doesn't everyone get Luke now days? Idk most of your characters besides Bane are free ones, maybe Luke?

Sidious is probably my favorite character to use. Luminara's extremely useful though. Do you think I should start fleshing out my Jedi team? I've got Luminara, the Jedi Counselor, Qui-Gon, and Ahsoka. I don't know if I should focus on them or not.
And do you guys have Rex? I got him in one of the free card packs and I heard he was really useful so I'm thinking about focusing on his gear levels.

Rex is the single most OP character in the game... he's in a tier of his own. However he's only pay to play so you can't star him up without paying right now. And will he be viable at 4*? Probably not so much. Consular doesn't belong on most Jedi squads. The strongest Jedi are Anakin, Aayla, QGJ, Yoda. Ashoka is good and she syngeries well with Anakin. You should try to get 5 Jedi maxed for the Yoda event Imo, good starter for new players now days and Jedi are always relevant |

Meta wise the best characters from each farming location are:
Cantina Shipments:
Qui-Gon Jinn
Fives
Old Daka (not as much as the other 2)
Ashoka (only in Jedi squads really)
Cantina Famring Nodes:
Geonosian Solder (Stage 1)
Lando (Stage 1 and 5)
Wedge (Stage 5)
Aayla Secura (Stage 5)
Dooku (Stage 6)
Anakin (Stage 7)
Arena:
Sidious
Stormtrooper Han
HK-47 (ONLY if you want a droid team)
IG-88 (Mainly for Droids)
Leia
Galactic War:
Luminara
Phasma
Poggle (Mainly droid team though)
Biggs (Has some of the best synergy in game with Rebels)
Hard Nodes:
Anakin
Rey
Dooku

Maul is going to be made farmable soon... don't do it Pinda. Lol... he is one of the worst characters in game. He's gonna get reworked some day through.
Boba is expected to get a rework soon first

Anyways I'm simultaneously working on 2 squads. My scoundrels with Lando (L), Cad Bane, Dengar, Stormtrooper Han, IG-88. And Rebels, Wedge (L), Biggs, Lando, Stormtrooper Han and Anakin.
Anakin fits into the Rebel team quite well, he won't get the leader bonuses but he buffs the rest of them. Should be done both teams in a monthish

Yeah in the current state putting two of those together would be bad, you can afford to carry one character with the use of mods and the right team comp but 2 is asking to lose. Maul can fit in with a Palpatine lead, Vader and Royal guard. Bane can fit in with scoundrels quite well, he actually has the highest potential damage output in the game but he's very squishy and quite slow. Bane also has one of the most reliable stuns in the game... but like I said you won't notice much with him until a high level |

"Power Wise" Bane is my highest character but power doesn't mean much. He's at 8000

My Bane crits for 9k x2 on normal targets and 13k x2 on Jedi. If he gets his bonus attacks and crits that's 18k damage or 26k damage in one turn. Bane is almost guranteed to crit on Jedi though due to his passive

It's a game meant to focus on all of Star Wars. The Rebels characters have not even been released yet, they're in the data mined files though. But tbh at the moment prequel characters are less relevant, the game is shifting towards an Empire vs Rebels meta in celebration of the new movie, when TFA came out the game shifted to First Order vs Resistance |

They just recently added the Separatist tag in game though and put it on all the relevant characters, right now it does nothing.
They also have been changing all the Jedi leadership and some abilities for the most part so it affects Jedi AND Clones.
So the chances of having CIS vs Republic meta in the future is high

Seems kind of stupid to enforce a meta based on movie releases... I mean I get it makes them money... but that doesn't make it less stupid. Game companies should not try to enforce the meta, they should make changes that allow players to change the meta.

Well they're going to add tons of characters to the game a few days before Rouge One is released, they're not really enforcing the meta but it's encouraged. But this started ages ago, Wedge came out in June and he boosted Rebels a lot to the point everyone was using him, then they released Emperor Palpatine in an event that requires Rebels so now people are using Empire too but Rebels is still more common. |

But Maul and Rex should both be made farmable soon.... Maul is irrelevant but Rex is pretty OP.
So I expect they will overwhelm us by adding tons of new Rouge One characters most of which will be farmable right away like TFA last year and then at the same time they will make Rex f2p too...
Like we got tons of new characters!!! Then in the fine print... oh yeah Rex is now faramable from X location.
And I'll be farming Rex...
