Just another warning that this is a SPOILER thread.
So during the Rogue One panel at Celebration one of the actors let a major death and plot point slip accidentally and I really want to talk about it.
Jiang Wen (Baze) said that Baze and Chirrut are friends throughout the film but Chirrut's sort of a follower of the force while Baze doesn't believe in it. He then said that after Chirrut dies Baze starts to believe in it. Also, it was sort of hard to understand since his English wasn't perfect, but I think Jiang Wen also said that Baze was a double agent for the Empire... but then after Chirrut dies he changes his mind.
Thoughts? I mean, I think we all expected most of the characters to die anyway, but this is pretty much our first confirmation of a specific death.
