So, I think the most popular theory right now is that Luke is Rey's father, and that it was him who wiped her memory and left her on Jakku. However, I heard about another theory that I really like and I think it's more likely.
Instead of Luke, it was actually Kylo Ren who left Rey on Jakku. We know Kylo was seduced to the dark side by Snoke and slaughtered Luke's jedi academy, and we also know that Kylo constantly tried to stay away from the light side of the force. I think during the massacre he came across a young Rey (who I still think is Luke's daughter), and he couldn't bring himself to kill her. Kylo probably saw this as a weakness since he didn't want to be seduced by the light side, so he wiped Rey's memory and dumped her off on Jakku. He then lied to Snoke and said he killed everyone. This would explain how he knew who Rey was during TFA. He left her on Jakku because he was hoping he would never have to see her again. Kylo leaving her on Jakku also makes more sense than Luke because I doubt Luke would leave Rey with Unkar Plutt.

Also, during the force flashback there's a scene where someone's killed by Kylo's lightsaber. I had previously assumed it was a jedi, but now I think it could be a Knight of Ren trying to kill Rey and Kylo stopping him.

I've been reading about this theory, and I like it a lot. It seems painfully obvious that Luke is her father and any other possibilities would be us reading way into the story. But also it gives more depth to Rey's past as well as a second level to the reveal. Rey could have perhaps been trained as a child at the academy but her memory was wiped by Kylo after he saved her and left her on Jakku. It would explain why she's so good with the Force (besides her father being a Jedi). Plus it shows why Kylo is so bothered by BB-8 being aided by a girl on Jakku along with why he offered to train Rey, his sister, during their duel at the end of the film.
The only thing I don't like about Luke being Rey's father is that he broke the "Jedi Code" and fell in love/had kids. Unless that's changed since the prequels or Luke decided to not worry about it since he's rebuilding the Jedi Order.

Rey being the daughter of Han and Leia would also be interesting and work just as fine as being Luke's daughter. It would also ensure Luke never broke the Jedi Code. I guess the only problem with this theory would be why Han/Leia didn't say anything or even hint that she was their daughter and brother to Ben. That's mainly why I don't see that one happening.

Don't think there is any Jedi code anymore. Anyways I'm convinced that it's Luke but she could be Hans daughter either any it makes no difference really, she's a Skywalker and I think that much is obvious
