Okay, we probably have a thread like this somewhere but whatever. I was wondering how you all would rate the six movies we have so far (or ever should have IMO) so I made this. Here's my ranking: 1. The Empire Strikes Back 2. Revenge of the Sith 3. A New Hope 4. The Phantom Menace 5. Return of the Jedi 6. Attack of the Clones

1. Empire Strikes Back 10/10 2. A New Hope 9.5/10 - The Force Awakens (prediction) 3. Revenge of the Sith 9/10 4. Return of the Jedi 8.5/10 5. The Phantom Menace (literally because Liam Neason) 7/10 6. Attack of the Clones 6.5/10
Probably something like that maybe put TPM and AOTC up .5 each but idk. ROTJ and ROTS are the only interchangeable ones for me...

Reasons for each one: 1. IMO, ESB has the best story, the best plot twist, and some of the best battles. Its ending is iconic and it took the saga in a great direction which would thereafter be ruined by ROTJ.
2. ROTS falters in some places like dialogue and acting, but it makes up for it in breathtaking visuals and amazing battles. The definite darkest Star Wars film is easily the best prequel.
3. ANH doesn't hold up amazingly well today, but it is still a classic film that is very impressive for its time.
4. I don't blindly hate TPM like 95% of the world, but yes, it has its problems. Jar Jar for one. And some of the characters are criminally underdeveloped and the Coruscant scenes are kinda boring. But what worked was great: Maul, Duel of the Fates, Podracing. This was the first one I saw and it was good enough to get me to watch the next one.
5. I don't blindly ROTJ because it's in the original trilogy. This is where Lucas fucked up. This one betrayed the tone of the last two and was just really lazy. A lot of plot points felt forced just to get to the end, but its even more out of left field than Ani-Padme romance. In the end it was all too easy. Fuck the Ewoks.
6. Oh Geez AOTC. Boring af. Forced af. Ending was cool but just not worth it. Also Dooku didn't show up until 1/2 way through the film.

What is actually more forced in ROTJ that's worst then the AOTC romance or the method thst Palpatine used to become chancellor (which honestly didn't need to be shown IMO, I think he could have been chancellor the whole time in a better alternative TPM).

Nice use of the LEGO posters. I haven't seen a full Star Wars film in a while (I plan on watching A New Hope either today or tomorrow to get ready for TFA though), so my rankings probably won't be too accurate. But I'd say my list is pretty similar to yours, Spider.

I haven't watched them all completely through in a while, but based off what I remember, I'd say: 1. The Empire Strikes Back 2. Revenge of the Sith 3. A New Hope 4. Return of the Jedi 5. The Phantom Menace 6. Attack of the Clones For Ep. I-II, it's basically Liam Neeson vs Dooku/Geonosis. At least TPM was more interesting throughout; AOTC had a good start but fell apart in the middle only to have a poorly written end. Plus the Anakin/Padme scenes are very cringe-worthy looking back on them now (when I was younger I thought AOTC was pretty cool ).

I think that The Force Awakens will be somewhere between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope on my list. As for TCW, I'd put that about equal with A New Hope maybe.

1st. Phantom Menace A New Hope (10/10)
I watched this a few days ago and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The best. By quite a margin actually.
2nd. Revenge of the Sith (8.75/10)
Not flawless but one of the best for sure.
3rd. Empire Strikes Back (8.65/10)
People think this is the best thing since sliced bread. It's an excellent movie and I'm not casting doubt on the significance of this film to the franchise but it don't think it's the greatest.
4th. Return of the Jedi (8.25/10)
Mildly enjoyable.
5th. Phantom Menace (4.5/10)
I'll admit when I first watched this I enjoyed it but when I watch it again now it actually has loads of flaws and I'm not just talking about Jar Jar. If it weren't for AOTC romance it would be at the bottom.
6th. Attack of the Clones. (3/10)
'Nuff Said.
I will have to watch Force Awakens a few times before I get a feel of where it would lie. But it will definitely be somewhere in the top.
