Absolutely absurd theories. This character doesn't deserve to ever be seen in a Star Wars movie again

I like the theory, but it has become ridiculously popular...

The theory has been expanded. Some people now believe that Jar Jar is the reincarnation of Darth Plagueis.
I highly doubt it's true, but it would definitely be awesome... there would be so much depth added to the Star Wars universe if this happened...

Strangely enough Gungans have been confirmed to appear in episode 7...

Damn... I read further into the theory and it seems more and more likely that this was Lucas's original plan... There are behind the scenes videos where Lucas says "Jar Jar is the key to everything" and Jar Jar's voice actor said Jar Jar's role in the prequels was changed significantly after Episode 1 and some scenes were he talked to Palpatine in private were deleted... Also, the other Gungan fear him... Do you really believe they would banish or kill someone for being "clumsy"?
Either way, I don't think this is still a thing, even if it was an idea George Lucas once had.

I looked into this theory and I have to say it's extremely funny because it's so stupid. I mean parts of the "evidence" make sense, but when one of the strongest arguments for Jar-Jar being a sith is "deleted scenes/scrapped ideas", it's not very strong. While some of the points do make sense, they seem more like coincidences, not actual proof. I'm not denying this idea may have crossed the mind of Lucas, but I don't think he actually considered doing it. Although if I'm wrong and this is eventually proven to be true, it's kind of funny how one of, if not the most, hated Star Wars character is the mastermind behind everything.

What I find sad is that so many people actually take it seriously... Or, at least, I think they're taking it seriously. Maybe they're just playing along with the joke... if not then I've lost faith in humanity again.

Well, I'm not saying I actually believe it's true, but I wouldn't be surprised if George Lucas originally planned something like this... It would fit into his way of storytelling.

Yeah, my comment was a bit blunt... I can sort of see some of the belief in this, and I will admit that it actually would have been kind of cool if this was planned. But even with George's strangeness in mind I doubt he would have went this far.
