I watched the Rebels Recon for this one I usually don't. Dave teases something big for season 3. I feel like it'll be Luke or Han... Luke being in Rebels would make no sense. And Han wouldn't be a good idea either... Maybe the Emperor, or a new trilogy character...

Meh. I did like the Ahsoka vs Vader, but it was just them throwing around their lightsabers, no dialogue, no emotion. I liked that one emotional part when he says "Ahsoka", but other than that meh. Maul sucked TBH. After years of battling Jedi, holding his own against Palpatine, Grievous, Ventress, Obi Wan, and Dooku you'd expect by now he'd be able to quickly annihilate the inquisitors. and his pathetic fall against Kanan blew my mind. One of the most poorest written parts. And helicopter lightsaber? That's up there with the slingshot.

Also best line "He will not be able to resist two Jedi and a part timer" Lol yeah that was funny. I liked Vader's "Than you will die braver than most" to Ezra and Maul's "Lady Tano."

Ahsoka/Vader: This episode was so crazy! AHSOKA! Did she live or die? I really hope she's alive cause of that scene where she walks into the darkness and that scene was so sad when you heard Matt Lanter say "Ahsoka" followed by Ahsoka's "Anakin" and Vader seemed kind of sort of seemed regretful before he said "then will you die" I think by that point he knew to stop the "I killed Anakin" stuff. I do agree on the duel though it was kind of short and wasn't as emotional as it should have been.
Maul: he was pretty good and it was great to seem again and he ultimately fucked up the fifth brother and seventh sister (that scene with the seventh sister was just brutal ) about him and Kanan... Let's just be honest Kanan had to win because it's not time yet for his plot armor to be removed. His little duel with A hsoka was cool too this was the most interesting "running away AGAIN, Lady Tano?"
Kanan/ Ezra: Both pretty good. Ezra is going to the dark side for sure and may even try to get revenge on Maul or Vader for tricking him/ Ahsoka's death. He kind of mindlessly followed Maul but it was alright as he kind of an Idiot. The ending scene with him opening the holocron was great. I feel for Kanan after being blinded and I liked how Maul served as a foil to him. That's really all there is to say about Kanan nothing else important happens to him,
Inquisitors: All right, the lightsaber helicopter thing was cool at first cool but then it got annoying. The Eighth Brother... I really wanted him to survive because he's new and his blade had those sharp thingies and he has rockets so he had the potential to be a threat. But maybe he wasn't straight up killed like the other two for a reason. Fifth Brother died which I liked because he sucks and wasn't that interesting. The seventh sister... I'm torn. I really liked her but at the same time she failed and need to die.. IDK
Malachor/Holocron: The temple being under ground was cool and the "sky" being dark with all those lights was cool too but it didn't really make sense. No real reference to the EU other than the apparent battle thousands of years ago. That female voice talking to Ezra was cool and sounded like a mix of Ventress and Mother Talzin (Nika Futterman voiced!) was cool. The temple being lit up was cool but I didn't think it would happen right when it was removed from the holding place. Also I'm curious about one thing: if Vader and the inquisitors knew about the holocron, why did they never use it? And what is it's/ the temples capabilities!? "Destroy life" how? And how much life? Did this cause all those Jedi (and maybe some Sith) to die during the battle of a thousand or so years ago? The holocron was cool. I liked how it was red and had a triangular shape to it.
Anyways, that was it. 10/10!

Rex thinks Ahsoka's dead. And Maul what's his next move? And the music was great throughout the episode! Kevin Kiner did great especially at the end when Kanan and Ezra return to the base and everything afterwards and Kanan and Hera.. Just kiss already. Kind of sad that Kanans last words to her before this are "We'll SEE each other again. " and Kanan is Rham Kota lol. Why do Sam witivers dark side characters keep blinding OT surrving Jedi with ponytails?

One more thing: Vader had the most badass entrance ever. And his little scene with Ezra was great as his line " you will die braver than most." Means he's self-aware that people are afraid of him which was just great. And Ezra lightsaber was destroyed! I hope he gets a new cooler one soon. And the little TFA reference with the lightsaber was great which makes sense because in some book Kylo made his lightsaber design after he got the idea from some "scrouge of Malachor" (Again battle of a thousand years ago?) and the parallel between Vader and Kylo about killing their former selves was interesting.

Little foolish of Maul to slash his lightsaber only at Kanan's eyes, What was the point? he could've just removed his whole head if he moved an inch closer.

This theme was pretty awesome, one of my favorites in Star Wars animation. Lol this should be a Civ 5 theme, there's one I know of but forget the Civ that sounds quite similar to this in game

But generally feel the Rebels sound tracks beat TCW, I like the throw ins with the originals Eeeehhhhhh..... I liked the variety of music Kiner did for the early seasons of TCW it was some cool actiony music. Not exactly like traditional SW music but I enjoyed it Rebels has kind of unoriginal music since a lot of it is just the main themes... But sometimes they do some cool mixing I remember during the Kanan and Inquisitor duel from the season 1 finale it sounded like music from all six movies blended together at least IMO. I think I heard some duel of the fates when Maul blinded Kanan in the season 2 finale. I like when they do like subtle remixes of music as well.. Imperial March used in TCW sounded a lot more badass than the original

Finally got to see the finale. Wow, what a way to go out. Honestly, I think if anyone is to blame for what happened, Ezra deserves full credit, considering he trusted a threatening stranger within five minutes Maul was pretty awesome, funny even, especially since he tries to play an old man, despite being in his late forties However, those copter sabers have to be one of the most shark jumpiest moments in Star Wars and I've seen a lot of shark jumping moments in this franchise... I think the confrontation with Vader needed some more length, so it could provide a more emotional hammer blow, especially that bit where he has his helmet cut (dang, that scene was eerie...). As for Ahsoka, yeah she's still kicking. I'm hoping the next season opens with what happened between her and Vader, but I'm not holding my breath. Unfortunately, I think they should have ended her then and there. Her survival just feels like the creative team just became too attached to her to let her go pop, so it feels like they chickened out of a really big moment. Nevertheless, loved it. Really exited to see where the hell season 3's heading (wondering where Kanan's gonna go from here), but I theorise Maul will go after Obi-Wan again somehow, leading to an adaption of that Old Wounds comic, which would suit me down to the ground. Also, on one final note, loved Ahsoka's line of "There's some truth in legends". Great reference to the old canon

I'm glad that her death is open ended. One can either see the ending as her walking down a flight of stairs, or her falling to her knees. Personally I see her going down stairs because if she fell to her knees then the light would still be seen reflecting off her body.
I can't make a poll but just curious, Alive or Dead?

I think she's alive. There's good in Vader..... after the explosion he either let her go or just decided to leave it or something... But when I watch the ending, I imagine her falling to her knees after Vader destroys her it just makes it and Vader feel more badass... Either way I don't think we'll see her again in person

Also, on one final note, loved Ahsoka's line of "There's some truth in legends". Great reference to the old canon I read an interview with Dave Filoni where he said that there's a definitive answer for if Ahsoka's still alive or not... but only him and a couple other people who produce the show know what the answer is. He said that for now, it can be left open to interpretation, but at some point (one way or another), we'll find out what the true answer is. The way I take that, it means she's alive. Why else keep it up in the air. But I do agree that Filoni doesn't seem to have the guts to kill off Ahsoka, which is understandable since she's his primary contribution to the Star Wars universe.
