I thought they were going to kill off Ryder for a bit too. If this was TCW, they definitely would have killed him. I think the rebels should have at least lost one transport in their escape though, just to show the power of the AT-ATs or something. Also, I didn't like how Kanan was able to defeat that one walker so easily. I guess these AT-ATs are a lot earlier models compared to the ones from Empire Strikes Back, so they aren't as tough, but I still felt Kanan was able to take that one down far too easily with just a lightsaber (plus, if AT-ATs go down that easily now, it takes the tension away from the episode earlier this season with the clones on the AT-TE).

Definitely better than the last episode. Leia was really good, and the voice does indeed grow on you. My only problem with her (and you could see this in the first preview they released with her) was that her eyes looked sort of derpy at times... I think they might have been made too far apart. Other than that, she was great. I liked how they had to make it look like she wasn't associated with the rebels (although they kept constantly reminding us that and it got a bit repetitive after a while). I didn't really notice but I don't believe her eyes are too bad. Yeah I liked how they made her look like a non Rebel as well which makes sense given the start of ANH

Well that AT-AT was weakened and there was a lot going on, the ghost was attacking and the focus was on the ships. They didn't have time to pay attention to Kanan. Also I think it makes sense, those are cruisers after all perhaps they could cripple one like take out the hyperdrive or something but destroy? I don't think so. Tbh I never thought Ryder would die and I don't think he's someone they would have killed in TCW either I'd say he's a character that would come back like Gregor or Trench how they weren't just one time deals though people might have thought they would be. This show hasn't killed any major characters yet and I doubt they will for awhile, TCW didn't either though this early.. A lot of characters they where restricted but still most we saw die where just guys who showed up in the arc or even episode they die in, nothing special about them. Fives was like the biggest death and was probably in the most episodes of anybody who died that was actually relevant

Ryder's cool I hope we see more of him but yeah I was expecting him to die maybe crash one of the ships into the AT-AT... Also I don't think they should've used AT-AT's I think those should be for larger battles with larger areas but whatever.. And yeah I guess they upgraded them in TESB because laser cannons didn't work on them there. But I'm glad Hera didn't grapple the legs together though.... However Kanan shouldn't have been able to completely cut off the legs in like one swing..... The scene was pretty badass but no...... Honestly just a meh episode. Too simple and sorta "childish" but I guess the focus was on Leia. I hope they do more "complex" stories with the other stuff shown in the trailer. I'm really looking forward to the Jedi cult stuff

If this was TCW then they totally would have killed off Ryder. TCW killed off characters like him in a sacrificial way all the time. But I'm okay that he lived since he was pretty cool.

Actually come to think of it I think Kanan cutting the legs kind of makes sense. It's not like the Empire would anticipate Jedi attacking them during this time era.
Also Hera didn't shoot them with Lasers, those where like torpedos

This felt like a classic early TCW episode. A mayor character (original or not) shows up and it mostly amounts to a simple plot with some fine action. Kanan cutting down the AT-AT was a highlight though and i hope to see more of Ryder. Leia intergrated very nicely into the story and my favorite scene was the one where she spoke with Ezra. I also liked how they keep the storyline of Ezra's parents going on here a little bit. It felt like a proper closure for both the character and the audience.
Overall not a spectacular episode but still a great one nonetheless. I hope to see Bail again at some point though.

AT-AT's do have kind of thin legs but They shouldn't be that weak... Otherwise Luke would've just done that... Lol

Hmm, so a lot of us have been speculating that the Grand Inquisitor was a jedi temple guard. Do you think he could have been the one that said "Cease hostility" during TCW? Or even the one that removed Ahsoka's padawan braid?

Another good episode. It was really nice to see the Mandalorian starfighters again, and it was even better how the Mandos used the spinning wings to their advantage. Fenn Rou was a pretty good character. I liked his voice. It was cool how the Battle of Mygeeto was mentioned as well. I'm guessing this isn't the same Battle of Mygeeto we see in ROTS, especially since Kanan said the one he fought in was the third one.
Also, while I really like Hera, I'm happy she was injured in this episode. I think she's the only member of the Ghost that hasn't been severely injured yet (actually, I don't think Sabine has been either).

Yeah I liked seeing the Mandalorian starfighters as well Also the thing with Mandalorians training Clones isn't new, it was in the old EU quite a bit so I see DF brought another thing back. That battle of Mygeeto was in the Kanan comics and so was Fenn Rou actually. However Mygeeto likely had lots of battles it was one of the hardest outer rim planets to conquer along with Salucemi and Felucia, both where seen with Mygeeto in the order 66 scene. Cato Nemodia was the other but that is actually a core planet. Overall it was a good episode, nothing spectacular but not boring or bad. Also I think Kanan is becoming a more skilled Jedi then what we seen in season 1. Well next week will probably be the last of these personal stories with Zeb then we will likely get into the content we been waiting for

Good episode. Felt like TCW at times... Well mostly during the part where Hera gets injured and Sabine's at her side which was exactly something from TCW with Ahsoka and like Anakin or Yularen.... I liked the shot of Hera's destroyed A-wing coming back out of hyperspace that was cool. And yeah I think all the medical droids have that same voice so kinda weird his (hers?) was different.
But Sabine basically went full retard there just to reveal that she is from house Vizsla.... Kanan would've easily been able to negotiate terms but Sabine had to blow shit up for no reason... I don't understand what they were talking about with like not killing anyone..... Why would they kill anyone that's not really how they operate.. Kanan wasn't even mad for some reason... And then Fen just joins them after they take him prisoner.... I would've said no...
Yeah I liked this episode but it kind of didn't make any sense if you ask me.... And it's a standalone? They should've made it a two parter. The ending didn't feel right..

I know this is a Season 2 thread, but I thought I'd just put it here anyway. There's currently a rumor that Grand Admiral Thrawn will be the main villain of Season 3. I never read anything that involved him in Legends stuff, but I still think it's pretty exciting. Thoughts?

With DF backing it he can pull it off for sure

Thrawn is a master strategist, it would be epic to have him as the main villain. Would likely be better then any villain on this show and TCW. Sure guys like Vader are cool but he's just an enforcer. Thrawn isn't a fighter but he can outsmart people, would be a nice change of pace.

However I am almost certain that Kallus is going to die this season if it's not due to the Rebels killing him then Vader will likely kill him. He has failed too much. When Vader and Tarkin where around they got things done.

One of the upcoming episodes (I think it's called The Honorable Ones) is about Zeb and Kallus being trapped on a snow planet and they have to work together to survive. Maybe Kallus dies there? I think that's too soon though. I'd rather Kallus be a villain that lasts throughout the entire show.

I don't think Thrawn should be in episode 8 they got enough villains already. Also I like my idea about Thrawn taking over the empire after Palpatine and Vader died and pushing an Assualt on the Rebels which is why they never really formed into anything larger then a resistance still. It makes sense and would be a good spinoff.

But outside of movie characters I'm pretty sure Thrawn is the most popular Star Wars character and the Thrawn trilogy books actually sort of revived Star Wars in the period between ROTJ and TPM when things started to slow down after the OT hype was finished
