So my friends and I came across a game which plays pretty much exactly like the AG, it was released December last year. You can get it on steam or play through browser but either way you need an account.

Pretty much exact same concept as AG, discussion, voting, roles, night actions, etc. Mafia (scum) vs Town (loyal) and then there's always third party roles. Games are 15 people not sure if you can have less but you can create a party and play with friends. It's quite fun though and the only difference is the RP aspect but I think people grew out of that anyways.
Unlike games this takes about 20 minutes to complete a game, you could probably tinker with the settings for a custom game but there the standard match, all depends on how good the scum are.
But yeah if you're interested check it out for sure, I think many here would like it
