Ok, as most of us agree upon, Season 5 was a mess. It had some really great stories, yes definitely. But it also had way too many below-standard episodes. And it just didn't flow to well. Me only had five storylines for a whole year. Compare this to 12 in Season 1, 10 in Season 2, 10 in Season 3, and 7 in Season 4. (Some of these could be split up further) A good number is about 7-10. Season 5 needed more stories and variety. So here is where we can talk about what Season 5 did wrong and how it could have been improved.

Well while I liked all the arcs, i would've included all the best and most important arcs in it.. Or shorten stories so more can be fit in the season... But idk... Like without completely doing it over from scratch, I didn't really mind it... Revival was good, Onderon was enjoyable. Then we got to Younglings which wasn't bad but maybe would be better if it was shortened. Tbh I liked droid arc more than Younglings but they could've just ended it with Secret Weapons and done a different three parter or something like about commandos. Idk what they would do differently with Maul since it was important stuff but like assembling the "army of revenge" was pretty boring... Then Ahsoka arc.. Well idk possibly shorten that as well..
So yeah lots of shortening tbh four part arcs aren't really necessary they should've gone back to what they did in earlier seasons more two/three part episodes

No Youngling arc and if you really need it just have the first and at the most the second episode. No droid arc. Gregor can appear elsewhere.
Onderon can stay like if was. Maul would probably be cut even the season 4 stuff Id think. Finale may or may not happen at least not in season 5.

I'll split up what I'll say into a few posts and just post them over time. I'll start with the Onderon arc. It was pretty good for the most part, but its biggest mistake was not showing the rebels actually take the capital. That was the point of the entire arc, but the finale just had the Separatists abandon the planet because they lost one battle in the outskirts. I think it also should have been 3 episodes long instead of 4. Season 5's biggest problem was stretching things out for too long and lacking in variety. Everything in this arc sort of started to feel repetitive and boring and we were only like halfway through it. This is how it should have been structured: The first episode is pretty much the same as A War on Two Fronts. But this time the end battle is a little bigger and has a larger impact and more importance. The second episode is similar to Front Runners. Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Rex still leave and put Ahsoka in charge. She takes on a role of responsibility and the insurgents start stirring up thoughts of rebellion in the streets of the capital. The third and final episode is the Separatist's full response to the rebellion and is the massive battle in the capital. All of the deaths can be the same, but this episode should actually show the rebels take back Onderon. And it fully develops Ahsoka as a leader. I think this would have worked better because it would have been quicker paced and less redundant. It would have also achieved all of the same things the actual arc did but in a shorter time with more excitement. If the Ryloth arc in Season 1 could show the Republic freeing a planet in three episodes, then I think this arc could have too.

I liked the gathering, but I'd probably just leave that one in and get rid of the rest of the arc. And SDITV would be combined with MIA.
