The place to talk about the far too numerous movie franchises adapted from YA books. And all of these movies include the last book split into two bloated out films.

I've read the Hunger Games trilogy, but that was about two years ago. The first book was good and the second was alright. Mockingjay was pretty messy and disorganized, so I don't remember much of it. I haven't read Divergent or Maze Runner, and I've only read the first 3 HP books, but that was a while back as well. And Twilight no...

I really like the Harry Potter books. They were consistently good and gradually more mature. I like the movies less however. They just left too much stuff out and the movies weren't too terribly long or anything to begin with. Like I understand not everything can make it into the movies but thru left out major stuff that made later movies make less sense.

Divergent and Insurgent were really really good books, but as a whole series no. Allegiant kind of... bleh. HP Was consistently good throughout, like Spider said. I loved the movies equally too. Even though alot of them are alot different than the books, they weren't terribly remade. They were casted perfectly as well.

There's a few things that annoyed me in the movies: -The Missing Mirror not being included in OOTP and then having it randomly show up in DH1 -Quiditch being left out all the time -Forgeting to introduce characters until it's time for them to be important (Cho, Cedric, Bill, Bellatrix, Scrimegeour) Like even if they aren't gonna do something monumental yet, they should at least he introduced at the same times they were in the books do they feel less random. -Not explaining how Harry survived in DH2. -Leaving out the important part of Snape's Worst Memory -Everything Having to do with Ginny Weasley -Not Killing Pettigrew -Missing HBP Voldermort Memories -Being lazy with some deaths (Moody, Fred, Lupin, Tonks) -Whatever the fuck happened to Voldy

I saw the first movie and liked it but the second movie doesn't look so good. The characters just aren't that interesting.

And also, in Divergent, my mom couldn't tell apart Will, Peter, and Al.

I feel like that could've been left out. But in DH the book they had these amazing duels going to take place. Trelwaney vs Greyback, Voldemort vs Mcgonnagal, Kinglsey, and Slughorn (If that was in the movies that wow it would've been amazing!), and Lupin vs his killer. Bellatrix "blowing" up was a stupid way to die too. I felt like they should've at least made her die from the killing curse.

True, it would have been cool to see McGonnogal being a badass against Voldy.

I liked the first HG book but the second one was boring and the third just sucked.
