Isn't the White Walker Jon is fighting the same one he killed in season 5?

Isn't the White Walker Jon is fighting the same one he killed in season 5? Which one would that be? Anyways seems like Tyrion may make an alliance with the North, would be cool to see Tyrion and Jon together, last time was season 1 and they left as friends it seemed. Tyrion and Sansa would be kind of funny but they didn't exactly hate eachother

Jon, Beric, Thoros, the Hound, Jorah, and Gendry vs. an army of White Walkers. I'm looking forward to that the most.

I still think Jaime and Cersei will die this season.

It's been awhile but I made another Downfall parody regarding the Season 8 rumors:

I actually continued reading the books last week... the first book (which I finish about a year ago) took me months to finish... I did the second in less than a week... I might be able to finish the other three books before the premiere.

I actually have a feeling Winds will come out next year. Like yeah, people say he's hopeless but Dance with Dragons took six years so I think this one could take seven and it would be a good way to appease fans if Season 8 does indeed come out in 2019.

So it's easy for me.

I often read from a normal book while playing RuneScape anyway. But yeah for other games I play it probably would not work.

My crazy theory from reading the books (not done with them yet): Davos is Azor Ahai. I would love that tbh. Me too, he is my favorite character... and the theory is not completely crazy in my opinion... I mean this is what I noticed (and found after looking up some things).
- Azor Ahai will be reborn when the red star bleeds amid salt and smoke. Davos is pretty much reborn after/during the Battle of Blackwater... The sea is obviously salt and the smoke from the wildfire is... well the smoke. And the red star is around throughout all of season 2... so also during the Battle of Blackwater. I think he fits this much better than any other character, which is why I got the idea it could be him.
- Davos should have died. In the books he describes how he remembered drowning yet somehow he is alive. And he knows no ship get anywhere near his island, yet a ship still finds him, one of the few remaining ships of Stannis nonetheless... Seems like someone did not want him to die yet.
- When Davos awakes on his island after the battle in the book he calls upon the gods and he gets a reply. He hears someone whisper in response: "You called the fire. You burned us!" Supposedly this refers to the wildfire in Blackwater and Melisandre... but it is pretty odd... and it is what convinces Davos to try and stay alive. And it could refer Davos defeating the Whitewalkers (by calling the fire and burning them?)
- Most information of Azor Ahai in the books is given in the Davos chapters... and Davos clearly thinks its nonsense... It would be quite ironic if he turned out to be Azor Ahai himself.
- Melisandra claimed Davos has a "role to play in the wars to come". Makes sense if he was Azor Ahai.
- Stannis says about Melisandre: "She talks of prophecies... a hero reborn in the sea, living dragons hatched from dead stone... she speaks of signs and swears they point to me." Seems like that's meant to refer to Davos. Stannis was not reborn in the sea...
- Everyone thinks Azor Ahai will be Jon of Dany... Who were always more or less the main characters... But this is Game of Thrones there has to be a twist.
- It's Davos who convinces Stannis to go north to help deal with the Whitewalkers and wildlings.
- Interesting quote from the books: "Death itself will bend its knee, and all those who die fighting in Azor Ahai's cause shall be reborn." Jon is reborn thanks to Davos, death bend its knee and returned Jon because he fought Azor Ahai/Davos's cause... not because he IS Azor Ahai.
- There is also some stuff I found online. In this scene. Stannis draws "Lightbringer" from the fire... but in the end its Davos that picks it up and walks away with it. Seems like it is foreshadowing something.
- Another thing I found: It is believed Davos brought back Jon, not Melisandre... He woke a dragon (Jon) from stone (the table he was lying on). Which is part of the prophecy.
I don't know, this is just a crazy theory... but I think it would be a pretty cool twist if it happened. At this point it would be much more surprising than Jon or Dany being Azor Ahai...

It was a good premiere, much better then the premieres of season 5 and 6. Actually I think the season 6 premiere was only 42 minutes long, it was one of the shortest episodes on the show I know that. Since this season is only 7 episodes I expect every episode to be 60 minutes or more, if not then it will be very disappointing to have a shorter season especially after the long wait :/ I'm really glad Arya's storyline has amounted to something, I knew it was her from the start. She's always been my favorite female character on the show, it's interesting that she's heading to Kings Landing, though she very well may have been lying to not draw suspicion from the soldiers. However Arya has been keeping a list of people she needs to kill since season 1, Cersei is on that list so it's quite plausible she is going there. Which could lead to an interesting situation if she gets caught and Jon/ Sansa find out, maybe the Lannisters will try and use her as a bargaining chip to make the North fight Daenerys. Tbh Sam and Brans stuff wasn't boring in this episode, usually I find them to be little side diversions from the real plot but it's finally all starting to come together. I think the best part about this season is that it will all take place in Westeros, no more crap across the ocean that I don't give a crap about I always kinda hated Daenarys storyline before because it was so distanced from 90% of the rest of the story. You know when you have these hour long episodes, you tend to forget some of the little things you may have noticed at the time but kind of forget later with everything that is going on I did really like the Hounds storyline. Also after playing the Witcher 3 I just noticed how similar the White Walkers are to the Wild Hunt/ White Frost One last thing... BRING BACK BRONN #2K17

Yeah, seems like they're making an effort to make all the story lines relevant/interesting. Maybe because they don't have much time to get things wrapped up.

Really liked the episode. Something about it just felt grander than anything we'd seen so far.
Red wedding 2.0 and the Hound were my favorite parts.

Usually the first episodes of seasons are kind of set ups. But this was still good set up. I love the trio of the Hound, Beric, and Thoros.

People online have been pointing out how Sansa's hair is eerily similar to Cersei's from Seasons 1-5.
And of course Jon thinks she admires Cersei. Oh boy.
