It was important and it showed some cool development for Anakin, but they basically threw the story down the drain for that. Then again, the same thing could have been accomplished by having Anakin kill Bane or Eval. Just Eval. Wouldn't want Bane to die.  |

Like really why not just send in a whole fleet in the first place? There weren't that many CIS forces down there so the battle would've been short the Republic would've overwhelmed them quickly. And the fleet wouldn't have been wasted either I mean one fleet in turn for the tide of the war shifting to your favor?
Actually better yet just send in some commandos they wouldn't have freaking fallen into an electric mine thingy that alerted everyone and screwed up the entire mission from the get go.......

They should've just killed off all the prisoners except Tarkin and Piell maybe keep one officer and also kill off the other no name clones. But I don't think they would've been executed. The whole point was to get the information from them. Maybe they would've been killed after they broke if they did. Also I think that's still too many people.. One squad of Commandos could've easily done the job I think they specialize in extraction missions anyway but maybe one or two Jedi wouldn't have hurt either And another I remembered, when the Republic forces were pinned down by the droids in the part where Echo killed himself, there were blaster shots firing all over the place but none of the clones were shooting, the droids were wasting a lot of ammunition... |

Why send one fleet when you could just send the team though... With a fleet perhaps the planet would've been under Republic control as well... But their plan had too many flaws and too many (unnecessary) people in it anyway and it was likely reinforcements would've had to be sent in anyway so why not do that from the start |

I don't think a straight up fleet would work. Dooku would probably just order Piell and Tarkin killed. (Maybe Doolu would order the droids to bomb the Citadel). If the Seppies can't have the info, no one can. Sobeck was confident he could defeat the small team, and that was essential in getting Piell and Tarkin out of there.
