What was the point of the Aragon flashback? I mean it made that couple having $ex seem important but they died like five minutes later. You mean that thing in Episode 4? I guess just to make them seem closer (lol, that sounds wrong...) so it'd be more emotional once they died at the end. It was kinda predictable but still sorta sad I suppose. Hopefully I can make those type of things less predictable in my next series.

Obi, you and Nam can be Katie and Tyler from Episode 4. Spider can be the bartender from any episodes that had one in it. Or he could be the guy Fred from Episode 4 as well. I don't remember who Katie and Tyler were tbh.. The couple that met in a bar, (Tyler saved Katie from a drunk who wanted to rape her). Then they get married and have sex. Only to die a little later on... ....by yours truly (Barst, Bane, Reik)

I kinda thought the point was so we knew she wasn't a hooker.

I kinda thought the point was so we knew she wasn't a hooker. I gues I was just trying to make them seem nice and kind and really show how ruthless Barst, Bane, and Reik were by killing them like that. Same with episode 5. Then the second half was more so action and an overreaching story (that'll be continued in Hostages of Trazibar).

But like I said in the other post, Katie and Tyler weren't meant to be big characters themselves. They were there more so to give more development to Barst, Bane, and Reik.

Sorry I've just been wondering that for a really long time. No problem. There's probably a lot of plot holes in this series anyway. After all, I did an episode weekly (mainly the first 5) so that's why the story may be kinda incomplete. But the second half had a more complete an flowing story IMO compared to the first. Still, for my next series, I'm going to make sure the story is much more complete and not film an episode each week. That's too rushed.

I really wanted Barst to die... I think the funniest part is that Barst is probably my favorite character I've created so far. I originally intended for him to be a likable guy... But we all see that no one really likes him. Maybe I like him more because I already have his whole story planned out roughly. But I hope that I can start making him more likable, or at least interesting enough that you want to see more of him and what he does, whether you like or hate him. But something that was hinted at in the beginning of episode 7 and will continued to be for awhile is that Barst has an interesting past. What he told about himself in episode 3 is only a small part of it...

That's why I'm taking my next series slow so I can use the best ideas I have and not rush. The only problem is that I've already made up plot points that I won't be able to share for a long time (I call it the Revan's death syndrome)

I already have a good idea how I want my next series to end but that won't be for a long time. And there's some other events in it I like but want to be later on as well. But, I guess it's better to know the ending first rather than start it and then get far into it without having any idea how you want it to end.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to expanding Barst's story. Still though, I should've known that in a series titled The Ruthless Mercenaries, I couldn't have the main mercenary be the most likable guy... Hopefully it'll give him more depth and personality though.

I feel that if I had the choice of making this either a TV series or book, it'd work much better as a TV show. The action sequences and storyline would work much better visually I would think.

Having more people like or at least watch the series makes you want to continue it more and faster. But with less viewers, while it's still nice to have at least a few true dedicated fans, it's still a sad thought. I guess we'll just have to be like Peter Jackson and do these series because we want to, not because of others. We're just lucky that others enjoy them too

I saw episode 7 yesterday and I have to say Star I was NOT expecting Reik to die. It's weird. I feel sorry for him and yet I shouldn't be after what he'd done to those families. Still that was probably the best one yet EDIT: Aaaaaand I've lost sympathy for Bane and Barst after seeing episode 8

I appreciate you're still watching this and the fact that you're putting Scar of the Law on hold until you finish this. But yes, I was hoping that would be surprising. Haha, yeah, that ending for episode 8 was basically me wanting to add some dark humor But it did have its other main purpose of giving them the official title of "The Ruthless Mercenaries". So I thought that would be pretty cool. And why not make it a grandma? They're fun to kill (jk )
