Haven't finished season 10 but I feel like every episode is just fantastic... Honestly I completely forgot about all of them it feels like I'm rediscovering something amazing lol And honestly I really like 12s hoodie and crombie jacket look... I really liked the Lake episodes and 12s Zygon speech in particular. But honestly it all kinda fell apart in the end. As good as Heaven Sent was, Hell Bent was just so dumb. I would have liked to see 12 actually doing stuff on Gallifrey. |

Finished Hell Bent. I actually thought the beginning was pretty badass. And a whole episode on Gallifrey is pretty cool. I hope in the future they spend more time there instead of constantly just teasing us... There's no point in not showing it now that it is back. They finished the time war arc so just have some adventures on Gallifrey..
But I think I can rank the seasons now: 5, 9, 3, 4, 6, 7, 1, 8, 2, .... 10
It's kind of weird though like I thought all the 11th doctor episodes were really enjoyable however season 3 and 4 had a couple of amazing story arcs which made me rank them higher. But the rest of those seasons (3, 4) were a little lackluster and I honestly skipped a lot of episodes from them...

Husbands of River Song might be my favorite Christmas special or tied with Time of the Doctor. The dialogue between the Doctor and River was so good and they wrapped everything up so perfectly.
I haven't watched the one with 12's regeneration yet but I mean come on... How could can a season 10 Christmas special be? Plus Bill.... ugh

Started season 10... great... after the first episode I might just skip everything except the cyberman finale and the ones where he's blind, I think those were the only okay ones.
So apparently RTD and Moffat have been writing novel adaptions of DW stories. RTD adapted Rose, the very first episode, and put in future incarnations of the Doctor, one being a "tall bald black woman" and some androgynous person in a fucking wheelchair. That's right the Doctor regenerates into a disabled person. Fuck they are so retarded...
Can't wait to see the 13th doctor's companion that's a fucking shemale with autism

I don't really think they need to "represent" all these minorities in the show. I doubt most of the audience gives a shit that they're not represented, they just want to watch a good show with "normal" characters. Very few people are bitching about diversity and honestly fuck the ones that are. Why does it matter just watch the damn show or don't.
And the very specific characters they're creating or could create is pointless. Who will a character that's, idk, a black gay dwarf with down syndrome, be for? How many people like that are in the audience?

I've been posting so much here I think part of the reasons ratings are down is because of how repetitive the show is. Like yeah there's frequent cast changes. Replacing companions and regenerations are usually fairly exciting but ironically having frequent changes becomes repetitive lol... But the main thing is they just have a formula for episodes. Every season, most of the episodes are just monster hunts either in a school or a future space station... Like those are literally the majority of episodes... Which is why Matt's run was good, his seasons I'd say were very different albeit super confusing sometimes They should change the format. Move away from episodic plots with some mystery spread through the season and make it more like American shows. Have like one main villain for a season and have serialized episodes focusing on defeating the villain. For example the Master is the villain of a season and they work towards defeating him in the finale. That would be dope. Now that Gallifrey is back, the Time Lords should send the Doctor on missions like in the classic series. No more monster hunts... |

Actually maybe season 10 isn't that bad...... idk the first episode was absolute shit but I'm watching the Vatican monk arc and it's not bad... I don't really remember the other episodes but I think parts of the emoji robot one were interesting... Obviously the HGTV wood monster episode is terrible and the space station one I think was pretty boring. As was the Roman legion one. Empress of Mars had a lot of cringe I think. But other than those 3, a decent season...? I mean I'm pretty sure I skipped at least 3 episodes from the first 3 seasons each so what does that say...
But people saying season 10 is the best season/best of Capaldi or that Bill is the best companion are not correct.

Finally watched Twice Upon a Time. I liked seeing the 1st Doctor but the story was incredibly weak/non existent... They wanted to show two Doctors, Bill, and a WWI dude but didn't have a story that fit them in... Honestly should've just kept out WWI dude since he barely even did anything. Or better yet, only show WWI stuff and no weird future death glass Bill... What the fuck even was that... I really don't like how they write off the companions and then immediately bring them back.. But yeah unfortunately this episode was very lacking which is a shame because it had potential. The regeneration should've been in the season 10 finale. And they really should go back to regenerations in finales instead of specials
One thing I will say is the music was just amazing. Never before have they reused the old Doctor's themes so much and I loved it. They should do it more because they're quite good. They might've done that because apparently Murray Gold is leaving as well. They know Doctor Who as we all knew it is now gone so might as well include the old stuff one last time. Sucks if it's true, the music was so good in the show hopefully the next composer is just as good

I’m definitely gonna watch Series 10 at some point. Part of the reason I stopped was because I was mad at the show. I felt like Capaldi was being forced out for the sake of having a woman. I still believe that’s true, but I have to see the rest of Twelve. Don’t think I’ll ever watch past that tho lol.

Okay I know this is years late, but man what the fuck did they do with Hell Bent. That episode was so fucking bad. And okay like I know DW is bound to have some bad episodes but at least you would think they would have the finale be at least passable. Shit, Season 7 is pretty bad but least the finale was good.

And it was coming off Face the Raven and Heaven Sent, which we’re fucking great. Face the Raven was a great send off for Clara (even though it should have happened in Last Christmas) and Heaven Sent might be the best episode of the show. Season 9 in general was so good until that point, the best since Season 5. The lake story really invigorated my interest in the show. Sleep No More was meh, but the ready was top notch. This season could have been the best of the whole show but then they decided to undermine everything they did with Hell Bent.

Nobody wanted to see Clara again in the finale. I had wanted her to go for a while but Face the Raven has just done a great job of making me sad she left. Good on them. And then just nope. Did they not think anyone actually wanted to see the Doctor on Gallfrey? Imagine a whole episode of time lords. Fuck I was excited. If they wanted to have her one last time, they should have had it be an echo like her first two appearances.

I don't mind what they showed on Gallifrey, it was pretty badass actually. But yeah should've kept Clara out it cheapens the death. They brought Bill back as well after she was written out which also sucked...
But like why wouldn't he spend more time on Gallifrey? If the planet is back, you can't just have one episode there, there need to be frequent visits
