Just ordered the LEGO ideas Doctor Who set. It should come in the mail next week I bought it yesterday. It's amazing. Hopefully they'll give us the other 11 Doctors in the future.

I'm sure it'll divide a lot of people, but I also thought it was good. Series 9 was definitely one of the best seasons of Doctor Who ever.

It was pretty cool seeing someone other than the Doctor or the Master regenerate too. I swear Moffat had the General regenerate into a black woman just for the sake of being racially diverse though. I'm fine with other Timecards changing gender, but I really hope the Doctor never does.

Finally saw "Hell Bent"
Outstanding episode. Just truly outstanding. I always love finales because those are the parts where everything comes together and like i thought we finally got Clara's true goodbye (i still hate they revealed that she was leaving this season though. That should've been kept a secret) I'll miss Clara, she was definitely one of my favorite companions so far.
To be honest i often forgot this was an episode. It felt so grand and the production values were huge here. Just like the nostalgia and feel trips. This felt like a Doctor Who movie of some sorts, wich is never a bad thing.
My favorite of the season is still "Heaven Sent" but this one comes in second. The return of Gallifrey wasn't disappointing at all! I'm happy the Doctor is keeping the new outfit from the final arc because his earlier outfit was pretty shitty. That new screwdriver looks awesome! (I wasn't surprised by it though. It was obvious that the sunglasses were only for a few episodes. Atleast i thought it was obvious, then i saw the internet)

Now that Series 9 is over (i still count the Christmas Special as Series 9 but the word 'special' sets it apart) i think i'll leave some short summaries of my impressions of each episode with a rating Overall this was a strong season but not as good as Series 8. This one had a few misfires. 1. The Magician's Apprentice 8/10
A very strong Season opener that felt like an season ending. At first i thought the return of Missy was way too quick but it worked out in the end. This episode was over in a flash though and really showed how much Clara had evolved as the Doctor's companion. Ofcourse the Davros reveal at the start was a big shocker. 2. The Witch's Familliar 9/10What a follow up! Davros finally got center stage again and it was fantastic. Even though it was largely word-play it was entertaining and very emotional. I bought everything he said (i'm still sure a large part of everything he said was the truth) Clara and Missy together against an army of Daleks? Hell yeah. That was so great and Missy's betrayel made it even better. Why are the despicable so likeable? 3. Under The Lake 8/10This episode came out at a great time. I had just finished playing the horror game SOMA wich takes place at the bottom of the sea. Then this episode comes out wich is also horror at the bottom of the sea. The ghost effects were really great and the sets impressed me. Even the supporting cast in this arc impressed me. Especially the deaf girl. The mystery around the ghost was also very intriqueing. 4. Before The Flood 8.5/10Follow ups are always the best in Doctor Who. I still liked the mystery and solution around the ghosts and the Fisher King's design was epic. Too bad he didn't do anything. The supporting cast really made these episodes for me though. Also the Doctor's plan in this one was easy to follow, yet still Who-ish enough to smile about. I also thought the Time Travel really came forward in these episodes. 5. The Girl Who Died 7.5/10Still good but a little bit of a misfire. I really liked the goofy light-hearted nature of this episode and how the Doctor and Clara reacted to everything. The villians were weak though and the plot not so strong. Ahsildr was alright i geuss although i did like how her death and resurrection were portrayed. 6. The Woman Who Lived 5.5/10One of my least favorite episodes of the show so far. It was just odd, inconsistent and pretty boring. The alien lion (forgot the species) was weak and unnecessary. The episode was uncomfortably filmed and scenes dragged on for way too long. The performance were very good as usual though and some jokes worked. I guess. Honestly i don't care for Ashildr (or "me") at all. 7. The Zygon Invasion 7/10The return of the Zygons was both awesome but also a little weak. Just like the previous episode this one had pacing issues and sometimes felt quite boring. The first half was very, very strong though. But the second half felt sloppy and out of place. The ending twists made me anticipate the next one though and the return of Osgood and how she survived was fun. And the Zygon costumes are great. 8. The Zygon Inversion 8/10A strong episode once again. This one had great pacing, great production values and brought a lot of likeable characters back together. Also i loved the Clara .vs. Clara aspect as she sort of battled her Zygon self. And that ending speech. Do i need to say more? 9. Sleep No More 9/10A big surprise for me. I didn't really know what it was going to be about and then i saw it was a found footage episode. They really pulled it off and loved how they didn't do the opening credits because it had to look like official recovered recordings. The idea of no sleep and constant work was very relatable because this is probably where we are heading as a species. Visually impressive and very well shot with the found footage even worked into the script itself. Brilliant episode. 10. Face The Raven 8/10They should've never told us Clara was leaving this season or that this was her supposed "goodbye" episode. It ruined a large part of it. Just imagine if we knew nothing and then suddenly she died. But overall this episode was a feast to look at and the Doctor's new outfit is so much better. This episode also saw the return of "me" who still don't care for but she fit in nicely and Clara's sacrifice (although not that impactful) was still a very powerful scene. 11. Heaven Sent 10/10One of the best television episodes i have seen. Despite the obvious skulls being the Doctor's i was thoroughly suprised all the way through since i had no idea where it was going and how the Doctor was going to get out. Details were spread throughout the episode and the Doctor figuring all those out was extremely Who-ish. Then came the montage of time at the end wich contained several billion years of the Doctor stuck in a never ending loop until he breaks through revealing his final return to Gallifrey. What a powerhouse episode! 12. Hell Bent 10/10This felt like a movie. The production values were huge and so were the stakes and the Doctor's return to Gallifrey. There was so much to just geek out over yet at the story at heart was an extremely touching and strong one. Clara definitely got the ending she deserved and it was both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Capaldi is such a good Doctor and i can't wait to see more of him after these masterpieces.

I also loved the music in "Hell Bent" They finally brought back the old "Doctor Theme" from 9 and 10 and the piece that the Doctor was playing on the guitar was Clara's theme. Those little touches are always great.

I thought this season was better than Series 8. Yeah, there were misfires but nothing as bad as ITFOTN. I think I'm the only one who didn't really like the premiere. I just thought it was too slow and I felt myself kind of losing interest Doctor Who TBH... But then the next episode drew me right back in as did the Lake Two-parter. I thought those were all really well done. And I liked the Arya Ashildir episodes as well. The first one was kinda meh but the ending was great and that was the whole point. And I really liked TWWW. I didn't really like the first Zygon episodes, but the second one blew me away. Sleep No More was my least favorite episode but still way better than the worst of Season 8. And I thought the last three episodes were all amazing.

I wish we saw more of Gallifrey though... I don't think there would've really been a money issue because they've done lots of complicated sets
We should've seen more of the time lords too. The focus was on the Doctor and Clara, who is supposed to be dead...

I'm a bit confused since I made the mistake of doing homework during the finale... What happened to Clara in the end? Is she still alive?

It's kind of like River Song. She's still around but no matter what, she'll eventually end up in the library and die there.

No I thought they were going back to Gallifrey so Clara could be sent back to Trap street (because she's still between the heartbeats) and then Ashildr will escape or something somehow. Maybe we'll see her next season
Anyways I'm watching it again since I don't really remember everything that happened..

I was so happy when he put on the "Doctor-y" red coat again. That's definitely my favorite outfit Capaldi's had so far. And yeah, I never really liked the black hoodies he wore.

Yeah I love the red coat. I liked the sort of "careless" hoodie look as well but it'll be good to go back to regular Doctor. I hope he'll still wear the blue coat though and switch out like 10 or something. Screwdriver is really neat too. Looks totally different and I like how there's more lighting in it. I wish it was purple though But tbh I think a lot of this episode felt like fan service intentional or not...

Really good episode either tied or second to Heaven Sent. Maybe third favorite episode of entire series (first is probably pandorica or something with 11 ) It was really humorous at times but I think they also went a little overboard.. 12 (season 9) is very similar to 11 (season 6 and 7) in the silliness but it's a little bit more subtle with Capaldi's acting I think. But both Doctors had appropriate levels of humor in their first series' IMO. 11 was chill and clever and 12 was serious but witty. Idk I think it gets a bit much at times and I wish they made DW a little more serious... River was great I loved how happy he looked when he saw her. I thought I understood their timey wimey relationship but this one changed it because she knew 11.. So I just stick to "they never meet in the right order"... I wanted her to mention Clara though but whatever not a big deal. And it's cool they kind of wrapped everything up with her and gave her the screwdriver which everyone was going crazy over at one point. I guess we'll never see her again though right.. I wouldn't mind that I think we got a lot with her and she was really 11's companion. So yeah great episode But lol Baymax.....

Peter Capaldi's leaving in the 2017 Christmas Special. I was kind of hoping he'd do another season after Series 10, especially because I think he's really settled into the role now.

Honestly I'm kinda tired of him.. He was cool at the beginning but with this year long break idk... Also I think most of them will leave after their 3rd season I feel not before I still haven't seen the 2016 Christmas special though..
