He does a really good OT Sidious (he also voiced him in The Force Unleashed). I'm not sure how well he'd do a PT Sidious though, not to mention Palpatine. Well the guy who did Palpatine in the Ahsoka arc and season 6 wasn't really good, he did a satisfactory Sidious but his Palpatine just sucked I'd imagine Sam could do better

Maybe they just didn't want him doing too many major villains? Any dialogue between Maul and Sidious would be a bit awkward to record if he voiced them both (not that that stopped them with Obi-Wan and Plo Koon or Osi Sobek).

Never knew that I knew he did Plo though. I been rewatching some Season 2 and 3 clone wars and I've noticed a few side characters that sound like clones

I'm thinking we'll see Obi-Wan battling Vader maybe near the end of the season or in the next one (if there is a next one although not sure why there wouldn't be) Vader mentioning Kenobi here has to mean he'll be appearing again. I don't really want them to duel this season though because he'll already be facing Ahsoka
Honestly I want to see it though like the ROTS battle was awesome but seeing Vader in his suit fighting Obi-Wan would be cool too. ANH duel didn't cut it lol

At this point Obi-Wan is out of practice and Vader is close to his prime.

Also I hope the female inquisitor is Bariss... need more TCW fates wrapped up in Rebels. I don't really want an offscreen explanation. Plus imagine how that would be for Ahsoka, her master and her former friend are now both sith/inquisitors... would be great character development for her.

Yeah I was thinking about that line too but like Anakn said his powers had doubed and stuff but he Andy doouk fought frequently in tcw

I thought the premiere was really good. I have high hopes that this season will be much better than last. It always seems like the only plot so far is that the empire is hunting the rebels and they have to run and escape. The show is still progressing with Vader and Ahsoka and that conflict but they need to try to make deeper plots in my opinion, like the team joining the alliance and then from then on creating more character connection and meaning. The show was still good though and I'll definitely tune in every week. I wonder if they will introduce Ben to the show, I'm not sure if they were foreshadowing his appearance through vaders hologram with the Emporer.

I'm telling you though, an hour slot for this show is a lot smoother. TCW fit a half hour but for this show it was a lot more enjoyable. You can fit more plot as a result and go more into depth with the adventure. Also what do you think about Ahsoka turning dark? Everyone's cliche expectations is for them to clash but what if she becomes an insquisitor or assassin? That would be neat to have betrayal on her part and the teams.

I'm hoping to see some good planets as well. I'm hoping for Kashyyyk, Utapau and I always love the Courascant/ underworld secretsy scheme/ atmosphere on the planet.

I agree, the premiere had good pacing and actually felt pretty significant, and that's mainly because it was twice as long as normal episodes (well, it was two at once, but it's the same thing). Unfortunately, we'll likely never get the hour long format for this. Animated shows usually don't and 44 minute episodes would mean half of the usual amount.

I would rather have 11 episodes that are long and enjoyable to be honest than quick and not as thought out. Others would see it differently, as you said though you are getting the same content. I just like to kick back in a nice long adventurous episode though, that's just me.

Does anyone else get like this weird empty sort of feeling from Rebels... I can't really explain it but it wasn't there with TCW... I think there's just a lack of... Stuff... I think in the TCW there was just a ton of stuff on the plane even if there were like a couple characters in a scene it didn't feel empty. Maybe because of like background details and whatnot I don't really like it I hope they can change it. It might be fixed if they just put in more background details because I keep getting a sense of vastness and loneliness lol

Like to elaborate TCW felt warm and welcoming somehow but Rebels feels cold... Idk if it's intentional but I guess it works with the dark times and all

And a lot of that's the show's fault. They have very few characters and sets compared to TCW, and a lot of the sets they do have are blank grey hallways (which might explain why it feels sort of "cold"). I think it's mainly because they're working on a much smaller scale compared to TCW and the style of animation they chose gives off that kind of feeling.

That's my main problem with Rebels. Nearly everything happens on Lothal with pretty much the same characters in pretty similar situations. I felt like half the episodes from Season 1 had the same plot. But Season 2 looks like it's fixing this by giving us lots of new characters, leaving Lothal, and setting up a larger scale.

I'm re watching season 1 since I downloaded off of ITunes awhile back and they actually go to a few more locations than I thought, there was the one planet in "Droids in Distress" and the prison planet in "Rise of the Old Masters", Kessel in "Spark of Rebellion". What I seen so far I'm on episode 5 of the rewatch. I just don't think you notice the planets that much since there's less episodes in the season then TCW and they don't usually explore the terrain and stuff rather it's smuggling weapons in cities and things. Season 2 will get better though but season 1 in HD is really good also the music is awesome much better then TCW, they use it really well. I guess it's something you notice more th second time.

Saw the season 2 premiere yesterday for my brother's birthday and boy that just blew all previous episodes out of the water. Vader was a perfect, several steps ahead villain and having James Earl Jones back is just the massive cherry on the cake. Liked how these early A-Wings looked exactly like Ralph Mcquarrie's concept art, blue colour and all and that single shot of Vader meeting the rebels for the first time could not have been for visually sensational.
This show is definitely looking up in the world and going places, literally even now that it's finally free from the restricting Lothal only premise.

Yeah like in the premiere there was some imperial march variations which I like to hear and there should be more in the future. There was some of it in TCW but not enough and it's like not on a soundtrack

If anyone is interested you can go to Star Wars.com for a few Rebel Music Tracks. There is one on each episode guide. And yes Empire's Day 'Glory To The Empire' is there

Why does it have to be so long away!!!! Damn I wish Rebels was a summer show tbh, there really isn't any and it makes sense it's a kids show right? On Disney XD even if people get decapitated and towns get burned down... There's plenty of other shows in the fall and winter to watch I really want to see those clones next episode

Been thinking of characters they may have cameos with, probably Jabba and Boba, other underworld figures. Wedge maybe. Perhaps Chewbacca and Han but if they did do it if want it has like a ONE episode only thing, no need to get too in depth remember they're not supposed to be part of this Rebellion

I sort of don't mind the wait... it still hasn't been that long since Season 1. I just hope they air Season 2 closer together and not have 2-3 week breaks between every episode like Season 1 did. I bet it won't since it's twice as long though.

Also when Kanan had the armour on didn't he out rank that one guy at the door? I mean he had the shoulder pad which is something troopers of rank have. Idk I just noticed that when watching

So I'd sort of like to know how did Kanan become in possession of Obi-Wans holocron? The one he had to have made after order 66... Maybe Kanan actually knows about Obi-Wan, I guess it's possible
