If more quality was put into the show, instead of quantity (episodes, time, money). This show would be better. Everyone keeps saying it's the same TCW creators and designers. But believe me, the ones who stayed are terrible animators, story writers, etc. The ones who were amazingly good left which is great. They shouldn't put effort into a show that cannot bring out their true talents. If Katie Lucas isn't writing any episodes they will not be good. Since she brought stellar episodes that are highlights from the show specifically Rebels has less episodes... And are you saying you shouldn't put time and money into a show... But seriously, Rebels is actually pretty high quality probably the best cartoon airing currently. Animation is good mostly because it's 3D which automatically makes it better in my eyes. Stories feel like Star Wars stories and characters feel like they belong in the universe. The budget they have is being used decently. TCW had a really big budget because Lucas was putting his own money into it. Obviously it would be higher quality It's definitely not as good as TCW but it's not trying to be. It's its own show that's like comparing Diary of a wimpy kid to lord of the rings.... It's only considered good because it killed the show that was 1000x better. |

Seriously I doubt they're going to use any major TCW characters not sure why people get worked up about it This There going to use ever OT character they can possible use though But I could see Cad Bane or other second class characters. coming on. |

If Rebels wasn't made then the "TCW is being cancelled to focus on the Sequel Trilogy" would have made sense and not sound like horsesh*t. So it's kind of clear Rebels is TCW's replacement and that it is the reason why TCW was cancelled because obviously they can focus on the ST and create a TV show at the same time..

Fine, I'll be fair about Rebels. I really thought It was kind of interesting at first, going to different planets and all. But after three episodes, what happens? They abandon that shit and stay on Lothal. The Inquistor, like Grievous in Season 1 of TCW appears way too much and they need too give characters like Kallus of the Minsiter Woman more screen time. Also they are way over using OT Characters. Vader, R2 and 3-CPO, Bail Organa, Yoda, Lando and now Tarkin. Clearly they don't have a lot of confidence in their show so they just shove all these characters in there. Episodes like Fighter Flight (Didn't they learn from TCW that an episode which has it's main character steal fruit is going to be shit?) and Idiot's Array shouldn't exist. You rip off name from TCW Sabine = Satine and Mira = Mina Also you introduce these characters (Visago) that seem like they have a big role but then screw that later. Stromtroopers are more incompetent in this series then in the movies, too. And the animation is total shit they should have stuck with TCW or go to 2D (like LOK animation perhaps.) And Chopper. This droid is so annoying is obviously there for little kids. He also needs to learn to shut the fuck up. He is no R2-D2.
Now what's good about Rebels? Hera. Hera is coolest and least annoying of them all and is epic from kneeing Lando in the balls to punching Gall Trayvis. Her words of wisdom are nice and I love her motherly guidance to Ezra and Sabine. Zeb I like too and he is cool. I liked his backstory and his bo-rifle The humans are pretty annoying and Chopper. Breaking Ranks was one of the few episodes to come out of this due to the characters and story. (though I felt it was ripping of Clone Cadets, Death Trap and The Box.) Rise of the Old Masters was great because of the action and Luminara. I also liked the new planets but once again they get rid off that after 3 episodes.
IMO, the bad outweighs the good. I really hope Rebels improves and the childish things will end.
David Oyelowo is black but Kallus is white. WTF why couldn't they just make him black? Because Disney is a racist company.

We're critics.  We can complain about a show, because we can. You can hate bout any other show, TCW, or the Prequel it's fine. I honestly don't care. But some of us care alot of about what happens to OUR fandom. What seems like annoyance to you, is more just debating about the show, and what comes next for Star Wars. I actually had hope for Rebels. I have seen every episode. Even "Call to Action", which I personally liked the best so far, but I can point out the flaws because that's the point. This isn't a perfect show which every makes it out to be. And it's good to point out the negatives in this series because they CAN make it better, if more people argue about it because this show needs to be better. It's Star Wars, and I love Star Wars as much as the haters of this show. I just hate to see Star Wars take a bad turn because I care alot about the future of Star Wars. |

Yep, I completely agree. What's so bad about critiquing a show? I want this to get better, but every episode just cannot seem to learn that Lothal is a boring planet. The characters need developments. And they need to learn that Stormtroopers are not incompetent soldiers who went through years of training but manage to not shoot someone who is 2 yards away from them. They need to make the Empire more menacing, more like imperialists and not you're corny old "villains". We aren't annoying but complaining at all. I just want this to be a good show, but it let's me down every episode. |

They Went to Steygon Prime, Kessel, Asteroid Base and Garel (A planet that should be shown more since it's so close to Lothal.) But for no reason they stop that and think the show would be more interesting if it stayed on Lothal the whole time. I really hope the explore more planets in season 2 because let's face it we're staying on Lothal the rest of the season.. |
