He was a giant waste of ink. He do anything for the story or to help the hobbits. He was just there. Don't you enjoy wondering about what the heck he was? And yes he did do something for the story. When the four Hobbits were attacked by Barrow-wights, Tom saved them and gave each of them a dagger from the barrow. Those daggers were enchanted, made by the Dúnedain of Arnor for combat against the Nazgûl, and without his dagger Merry would not have been able to hurt the Witch-King. He was a giant waste of ink. He do anything for the story or to help the hobbits. He was just there. At that point, I think he Tolkien was taking his writing slightly less seriously. (That's just my guess) I just find it interesting wondering about his back story. It sort of foreshadows a higher power in middle Earth, and not one entirely of violence. I think the main reason he was included was to give the story some balanced. Dispite all that, he's still one of my least favourite characters in the series. I agree with boats these statements. And I found the parts with him interesting at first but Tolkein did spend a little too much time with him.

And is Middle-Earth supposed to be earth? I guess we just like it. And I also like medieval history which makes me like LOTR even more. And if I remember correctly I think it does. It's like a fictional history of Earth up until the 1800s or something like that.

It's the other two categories he's iffy about. And my mom made it so I wasn't allowed to watch anything but PG movies until I was 12. A little too much. She rather me watch Pixar movies than superhero ones...

I'm at the age when my parent's feel duty bound to see all the movies I see with me... so yeah. it's sort of restricting. I'm not saying I want to see R rated movies every night, but I wasn't even allowed to see The new Star Trek movie. (At least thrusting want to see it.)

And I'm glad I did. My mom loves Star Trek and she wanted to see it. She probably would've freaked out if she knew all the stuff that was in there I saw. And I don't want to see R rated movies either. My parents didn't let me see Pacific Rim, even though it was PG-13 for the intense violence and brief language. They said the language would probably be too strong.

(Its a two hour trip there) because of how restrictive my parent's are, I don't really even see that many movies...

And normally is used to only see 5 movies a year because of how restrictive mine are too. This year I've managed to see 6 so far. But two of those were with a friend.

This is what was in Into Darkness that I can recall. S--t B--ch Maybe B---ard Hell Damn A$$ It wasn't too frequent but the second word was used quite a good amount I remember.
