Was this in PM? Because I saw no such thing, therefore that had no outcome on my opinion stated above. And I completely agree, but haven't some of us also made little jests at that kinda stuff in the cantina too? I know that some like Ferus, Kenobi, and I have made some comments like that. We just add the  emoticon and replace the inappropriate words with something else. I mean, I'll reread Echani's posts again to see if missed something, but I feel like after the Models thread, there's just a lot of unnecessary hate around Echani from the mods. Was what in PM? Star True, a lot of cringe worthy things are posted in the Cantina, and perhaps an argument could be made that the usual site standards do not apply to that one Thread, but his, oh what do you call it, ?signature? is posted everywhere on the site that he posts, and it was crude. And we don't know of any restrictions placed on free speech in a learning environment by the US Constitution, colleges have invented that all by themselves.

Honestly some people need to look up what power hungry means... Basically the mods just have special abilities in the forums for like deleting or locking threads or whatever it's not like they go around banning everyone (there have been bans but they were temporary/fairly justified) I don't see what the problem is.. We only got rid of Mecha for being an outright troll, and Dark for a few offensive comments (that he accepted and apologized for). Many of these power-hungry accusations are directed at us because I think people dislike it when we drop in and end the fun. But remember, something not offensive to you can be offensive to someone else. We don't like it when people say "the mods" as if we are totally different people. We don't want there to be a divide between us. Sadly, it happens, and it shouldn't. |

How's that for a long post? Just saying I am religious as well  but I just don't always see eye to eye on everything in the bible as some people do. I think the whole point of the bible is too challenge it and find where your beliefs are. But you forgot some other stuff like his Constant fighting with the mods (mainly Nam), trying to make us look bad all the time and I believe we had proof that he has trolled the guest section a lot... I don't really remember but I think Pinda or Nam does. But it's only a week and that's less than what Dark got and I'd say This stacks up a lot more. It worked for Dark if may work now. I want a peaceful solution myself where everything works out. But it's mainly Echanis arrogance that he can't realize why he was banned (and for a very short amount of time as well...) That's true, and maybe you were joking with that post, but I wasn't sure. And I think was kinda in the dark with most of the mod fighting. I remember I came the night he left gizka, and was very confused, so I can't really say much on that... And as for the guest board, maybe he just was joking around? Idk, I don't remember that either. I didn't really look at the guest board at all...  And I'm fine with a week ban (I guess I'll have to be now too ) but I was just saying we all should try to discuss our problems more maybe instead of clicking a button and just banning him and hoping our problem disappear without any communication hardly. It may make the banned person fear the mods into being really nice. But then again, if Echani did say really bad things in PM to the mods and it was enough to make Spider that angry to ban him, then maybe he does deserve to be banned... |

I am not surprised he was banned, echani had it coming to him. There is a fine line of inappropriate he crossed, star and Kenobi aren't offensive and just hint at little things. Echani was down right inappropriate and said some offensive things.

As for the models thread, this is a fandom site for goodness sake. If it offends some people, why continue it? There's no point. When you look at the politics thread, and the people who argue strongly there, they don't bring their arguments out of those places. They are mature and civil out of the politics thread.
With the models thread, the argument went all over the forum. Unnecessarily, as well. It had to go. It was pointless and caused problems.
