Hi everyone, I was wondering what you thought of Iron Man 3. I saw it last weekend and it was awesome. Better than the Avengers? Possibly. Best Iron Man film? definitely. the humour was great and it wasn't so much of a dark tone as people thought it would be. My favorite character besides Tony Stark would have to be Rhodey/Iron Patriot. The twist with the Mandarin was very well done but I know that some fans didn't like that. Amazing movie: 9.8/10. What did you think?

I liked it but something felt missing... Maybe it was Killian being the main villian. As much as I liked him, maybe having Mandarin being the main one would've been better.

Total $hit. There was many flaws in this movie. I thought I was watching thor because of all the super natural $hit. Iron man needs to stay in the realistic.

Does this really need its own thread? I don't think it does, because not as many people will talk about it compared to The Hobbit. I'm not trying to be mean, but we don't need all these threads on different movies that come out. That's why I made the Mos Eisley Films thread. But I thought the movie was great, although I would've liked to have seen the Mandarin to be an actual villain instead of a figurehead.

I think, because it's a newer movie, it can support its own thread.

Such an amazing film. It's fantastic! I loved the twist with the Mandarin (i've never read an Iron Man comic and i don't know a thing about the Mandarin so i was easy to roll with it) The story was really strong. No actor gave a bad performance. I liked Killian as the villian but he wasn't the best villian though.
I've seen it twice already. 1 time in IMAX 3D and the other just in normal 3D.
My favorite scene is the Malibu Mansion attack.

Iron Man needs to stay realistic? A guy that flies around in a suit that shoots lasers and is able to fly at all, who uses a reactor to keep a piece of shrapnel away from his heart needs to stay realistic? Suuuuuurrrrrreeeee.... Marvel is not realistic. But it is not super natural besides thor. Thor ruined some of marvel for me. Now it seems marvel will turn all super natural crap. In all of the super hero movies there is no super powers and stuff like that. But thor has ice giants, teleporting, gods, weird hamers, flying, etc. They never should have put thor in the avengers. Because now every marvel movie will have super natural crap going on.

Humor was good, but not quite as good as the first two. Rhodey actually is my favorite, even more than Tony. The mandarin part was funny, but kind of anticlimactic. I think the end was a little rushed, and I'd have liked to have seen more of the suits. Especially Heartbreaker. That one looks cool.

And what's not to like about a god being a Superheroe

No there not. There just rings, just props. ... By that logic, everything "supernatural" would be just props and animation and whatnot.

I meant that everything the mandarin used was props. Remember that mandarin was not real.

What I meant was you said you would've prefered the Mandarin being the main villian of IM3 but didn't like supernatural stuff soif Mandarin was the main villain, the movie could've had supernatural parts.......

Maybe. But not likely. Mandarin is a terrorist. Super natural stuff and terrorist like him don't mix.
