We did see maul die. We saw his last breath as he was falling in 2 down the shaft. No, we did not. We just saw him fall. |

It would of been cool to see Plo koon vs. dooku. I would have liked to see that as well. Nice duel right there. But Dooku would still come on top more than likely. |

Maul saved himself from dying because of the anger and hatred that grew in him against Obi-Wan. The Dark Side became very strong which saved him. Savage, on the other hand, changed back to his former self when he died. He wasn't angry, he wasn't full of hatred, he just realized that he wasn't a true Sith and was forced into it all. "I never was," he told Maul, and that's true. Savage is not evil. Are you talking about dark side saved maul in long run. Because when he should of died in menace he didn't have hatred. |

At first he didn't. He got chopped in half. He probably was like o crap instead of hating him. He probably started to hate him when he got legs.

What if they tried to being savage back. How would you explain that? Some people said they were going to but I doubt it. That would be stupid. Horrible. He died, and should remain dead. Star Wars can't just bring back to life all their characters. It makes it seem like no one is ever truly dead. There is no death, there is the force. Pwned. |

Darth maul was created by the darkside. He is made by pure hate. He killed Satine and Qui-Gon without secind thought. But being he has a soft spot for Savage i can see where you come from Jodo. He hated him later after he got cut down. Also hate does not make someone survive from being cut in half and fall down a shaft. There is no way. The hate didn't grow fast enough to save him. Mauls face was like "o crap this hurts" Then he would of died like 1 or 2 seconds after cut in half.

The Dark Side grew within him as he began to hate Obi (during his fall down the shaft) which made him very connected to the Dark Side and thus saving his life. |
