Visions 2 trailer. Um none of it looks good lol. I think I liked 2 or 3 episodes from volume 1 and thought the rest were dumb. It doesn't count as Star Wars to me so yeah not exactly looking forward to this. Honestly I think this is a waste of time and resources. What is the point of being under the Star Wars brand if it doesn't fit in the Star Wars universe? If it was its own thing it might feel unique and creative but attached to the Star Wars IP it just feels weird and confusing I'll never understand Visions existence other than just filling the content meter up. What's the point of something that's not really adhering to the timeline or rules of the series it's inhabiting? Also hardly any of the first one's stories were much good and I have no faith this will be any different.

Oh there was also this I guess... Y'all watching lmao? 💀
Do children actually like stuff like this? Maybe preschoolers but I feel like at a certain age kids don't want to watch shows/movies about other kids. I think they should just embrace that Star Wars is primarily consumed by adults now and create content accordingly for the adult audience

Hmm I was expecting 4 seasons tbh. 3 is fine though, just means a few things I wanted the show to touch on probably won’t happen. I’m wondering how many of them will die at this point. I think all but Echo and Omega is likely. I wanted to see Boba and Omega interact but I doubt that will happen. That would be crazy if they pulled a Rogue One and killed all of them. Maybe they want to explain why we don't see them later. I actually thought none of them would die so Tech's death was unexpected and that means they're all fair game now Yeah I wanted to see Boba show up as well, but I think most of them might die tbh. I don’t see much point keeping them alive. They don’t really seem like true Rebellion material (Rex I understand), and with their accelerated aging I can’t see them being effective super soldiers later on when the true rebellion starts.

Celebration 2025 will be in Japan. That's pretty cool. But what about 2024? Aren't they every year? Overall thoughts on this, I think it was about the same as how it usually is. I think showing trailers for Acolyte and/or Skeleton Crew would've made it better. But man it is crazy how much of a bad place Star Wars is in, at least imo. They're desperately trying to rush out a film which is about god damn Rey. The Mandoverse is in shambles apart from maybe Ahsoka. And still no overall vision for the brand apart from throwing out a bunch of random stuff and hoping something sticks. At this point I don't think there is anything that could possibly save the franchise in my eyes. But I guess I would at least like to see how they run it under someone other than Kathleen Kennedy. Pretty sure her contract was supposed to end this year... I think they are only doing celebrations now if there’s something to really celebrate. Like this year was 40th of ROTJ. Last year was 20th for AOTC. 2025 is 20th for ROTS and believe it or not… 10th for TFA. Think there’s a good chance they skip 2026 as well, but obviously they have to have a big one (probably in California or New York) for 2027 as that’s the big 50th for the franchise in general. I wouldn’t be surprised if George Lucas came out of hiatus for that one. Guess it would really show what he thinks of the current management if he doesn’t show up for #50.

Japan is interesting, I think the newer Star Wars movies actually did decent in Asia though. But I can’t imagine there will be tons of guests for a Japan celebration. Probably Donnie Yen would be one of the bigger draws. Although Disney would probably fly some people for free so who knows.

I was on Disney + awhile back scrolling and there is absolutely tons of those LEGO Star Wars animated series now.

Honestly I feel like I’m one of the few that would be down for BoBF season 2… honestly with better writing and get Boba off Tatooine there’s some potential there.

I mean if there's a good script I'd be down for a lot of Star Wars shows. But that's kind of the issue right now, these shows are hit and miss with their writing. Boba Fett is a character that could have a lot of potential too if given more interesting material.

Honestly I feel like I’m one of the few that would be down for BoBF season 2… honestly with better writing and get Boba off Tatooine there’s some potential there. If I had to pick, I'd rather have Boba 2 than Kenobi 2. The problem with BOBF is they really wrote themselves into a corner with the character. To give everyone the proper Boba they always wanted, they'd have to basically do a complete reboot. If I remember correctly, at the end, all the crime organizations that basically ran and protected Tatooine left, leaving Boba alone to rule. But then for some reason at the end, Boba is having second thoughts about being a crime lord so like what was even the point of all that?? But basically having him be kingpin of Tatooine puts him in a position where it's difficult for him to leave the planet for good without some contrived reason. The character was also done a massive disservice. None of those character traits can carry into season 2. I would say he talked too much and took off his helmet too much. They also made him pretty weak, constantly getting beat by everyone. And they made him incompetent, not just because Fennec had to babysit him at all times, but because he was literally a crime lord that was against crime. His "criminal Empire" wasn't executed very well. His whole organization was comprised of 5 loser kids, a couple gammoreans, a droid, and two bounty hunters. He walked everywhere and did everything on his own instead of sending people to do stuff. If there is a season 2, they can never acknowledge season 1, they gotta completely ignore and retcon it. They should've kept him as a proper villain instead of turning him into some nice friendly uncle type guy. Keep him a silent bounty hunter and have him work for some new crime boss or something. The problem with doing that now is they've established him as having turned a new leaf and being the weak nice guy. One way to snap out of it was to take away something/someone close to him and have him go crazy and kill everyone. But they squandered the opportunity they had after wiping out the Tuskens. So yeah between those character traits and being sorta locked to Tatooine, his arc is kinda done and can't be continued without a ton of retconning which Disney will probably refuse to do

Yeah I do agree with both of you that Boba Fett is wrote in too much of a hole to really fix now unless they do a story not set in the sequel era or something. Which is possible given his character. Or do a story focused very specifically on the bounty hunters. They could adapt the Blood Ties comic I think? The one where Boba is “killed” and then takes revenge on everyone that “killed” him.
Kenobi has nowhere to go imo that doesn’t just make the OT more fucked. Maul would actually be a perfect story though if they didn’t use him already
