Interesting news. I think Taika is a pretty brilliant director. What We Do in the Shadows and Hunt for the Wilderpeople and JoJo Rabbit are all good movies and he did some pretty good for Marvel with the first Thor movie.

I think he could do something great for Star Wars as well. At the very least bring some different ideas to the franchise, which it has sorely been lacking under Disney.

I just hope Kennedy and the rest have the brains to let him run his own show without studio interference.

Jeez, with how in demand this guy is, I sort of worry he'll get burnt out. I mean, he's got this, the next Thor film, two Netflix cartoons and that Akira remake on his plate. Guess this'll be one hell of a decade for him

So I'm praying for this to be something good. Honestly the only new Star Wars content that I've truly liked and enjoyed since 2012 has been Fallen Order...

I'll believe it when a trailer comes out. They've announced so much at this point only to have it fall through that these announcements don't mean too much to me anymore.

I think the future of Star Wars is in TV anyway. Despite some flaws the last season of Clone Wars was great and Mandalorian has also been killing it.
