Rebel Assault
Um okay I guess... I wish the X-Wings got some more backstory than just suddenly appearing. They didn't necessarily have to spend a whole episode on them like they did with the B-Wing and Y-Wings but maybe just a mention like hey this cell brought X-wings. It's such an iconic ship it should have more of a emphasis imo
Also why do they keep showing that one imperial officer with the sideburns every where lol. He was on Geonosis then Jalindi then here and probably a couple other places. And it makes no sense for Mart to be so much older here. Season 3 had to have a huge passage of time or something because I'm pretty sure the S4 premiere takes place right after the S3 finale. Oh and I hate Rukh bruh he's fuckin disgusting
Anyway I guess these episodes are kind of cool they definitely feel like ending episodes. But I think they would've been better as the penultimate season's finale and then the series finale episodes would've been something more interesting (Vader)

Jedi Night
This is a stupid fuckin episode to be quite honest. I hate it. Mainly because of Kanan's death. First of all why'd they do my boy so dirty with that ugly ass haircut lmao. Seriously he can do literally everything else even while being blind (like drive a speeder lol??) so surely a decent haircut is not impossible. I also hate how they waited until the last season to try to do a romance with Kanan and Hera. It's so bad honestly. All they had to do was show a conversation early on in the show where Kanan wants to make it work but Hera says they don't have time or have more important responsibilities. It wouldn't have made the romance feel so random/sudden and would've been at least a bit better.
Then there's Kanan's death... What the hell was that? So I guess they were trying to "foreshadow" or something his death with the wolves in the prior episodes. It makes no sense. Kanan's just like aight I gotta die. Mostly because the writers were like aight Kanan's gotta die. For no reason. He didn't really get a proper goodbye imo. There wasn't a decent build up to it. And more than that his death was so lame. They could've easily escaped on the gunship. It would have been far better for him to sacrifice himself against Vader or something not a lame ass fuel canister explosion. It's so lame bruh but that sums up the entire show. I did like how because of his sacrifice the Force briefly restored his vision. That was a nice touch. But everything else is so fucking lame
Back to Vader though seriously where tf is he? Where is the Inquisitorious? They were all literally like aight imma head out after Malachor. The Jedi are still out there guys wtff??

Dume
Pretty lame once again. Talking wolves are weird. Are they mad Kanan died? They're the ones that basically told Kanan he was going to die
Wolves and a Door
Interesting I guess. Not something they should've shown at the very end of the show though

So I finished Dume again. Holy shit I forgot how slow season 4 is in the middle. I was thinking it would be the best of the show but it might actually be the worst... Really ironic how since it's a kids show, they did a lot of childish things. However at the same time most episodes are kind of boring... Maybe I just feel like that because the storylines are too simple for my taste but I'm not sure if even kids can enjoy it that much there's not many cool action sequences and they repeat a lot of the same type of stuff over and over

Didn’t realize Greg Heffley from Iron Squad was still in this. Well he’s less annoying now. Dare say he’s probably more mature than Ezra.

Rebel Assault was fine. I guess I expected something really cool like Zero Hour but we didn’t really get that. I know I said I wanted them to do more continuous story but I didn’t mean for them to spend the entire run doing only 1 and 2 parters and then jump into a 6+ part arc.
I just don’t really like Lothal that much. I thought we’d be coming back for one or two episodes but we’re still here. I really hope the next seven episodes don’t stay on Lothal.
The space battle I guess was cool, especially with the X-Wings. Kinda wish it had been more grand through. Still not a fan of the ninja guy.
6.5/10

They really just put Loth- in front of every animal and then they have a new alien.

Jedi Night was effective for the most part. It was pretty obvious Kanan was gonna die in this one, and I think this mostly did well with his final outing. I liked the scenes of them putting the Loth-bats together and then their eventual flight.
Hera's rescue was also quite nicely done. The moments where she was on laugh gas were pretty funny. And it was good that Kanan and Hera finally got the moments they should have had the entire show. I thought maybe Kanan would get killed by that weird gray ninja but luckily that wasn't the case.
As for Kanan's actual death... I was a little disappointed. The thing felt really contrived. Like it seemed like he could push them away and then jump into the ship, or just hurry in once he knew what was going on. It reminded me a lot of the end of X-Men United, but there it was properly built up and didn't feel forced at all. I don't know, I just think there had to be a better way to go out. I'm not really sure how his vision was restored but idk, it felt kinda cheesy.
I still really liked the episode. Definitely the best since returning to Lothal. But I think it could have been amazing. I'm gonna say 8.5/10,

They should have just killed Gray Alien. Nows not the time for childish antics.

Rebel Assault is a pretty good episode. I wish it had come sooner instead of us getting the previous episode. I really liked everything in space. It's not the same level as Zero Hour, but it's also not meant to be. I'm glad Thrawn went ahead with shooting down Hera even with the Defender pilot ignoring orders.
The shot of Hera and others crashing into the city looks great, especially with the rest of the Ghost crew looking on. Perhaps the most unfortunate thing this episode is the return of Mart. If they chose to kill him here, I might've gone ahead and given this episode a perfect score for ending one of the worst characters from the worst episode of the series. Sadly, they don't, and strangely, Mart seems more mature in his few minutes here than Ezra does half the time.
Rukh felt a little less intimidating here, but at least he caught Hera in the end. It reminds me a little of a reversal of Call to Action from S1 when Kanan gets captured so others can escape. This is an enjoyable episode overall. 8/10.

Oh I forgot to review Dume. Pretty good. I like when they show takes time to breath and focus on what the characters are going for. Really liked the Hera and Chopper scene.
I know it’s a kid show and all but I wish Zeb and Sabine had just killed weird grey ninja. Them painting him and sending him back just felt too silly and kind of insincere in the moment. I would like to see the characters affected by this and not get over it all in one episode.
Ezra’s stuff I think worked here too.
7.5/10

Wolves and the Door was pretty good. Really surprised to see them bring in Mortis in some way. Excited to see how all of this plays into the ending of the show.
Not sure how I feel about the wolves. They were cool when they brought them in but now they’ve kinda taken over the plot. They’re like the ultimate Deus ex machina and I guess I’d rather have the heroes figuring out what to do than being led around in the least creative way by the least creatively named aliens with the least creative designs.
Idk, I’m just not seeing a lot of momentum toward the end right now. Not sure how it all plays out, but I feel like all this spiritual stuff could’ve been done earlier in the show.
6.5/10

Yikes, I kind of forgot/ lost interest in this... I only have 7 episodes left, maybe I'll try and binge them when I'm in a Star Wars mood. I don't really have a strong desire, but I'd like to for the sake of completing my ratings and rankings between this and TCW.
