Heroes of Mandalore Part 1
Pretty good. But why does Bo-Katan look so ugly bruh. Like many women in their 40s don't look that bad and are quite milfy. There's not a single waifu material bad bitch on this show tbh. Maybe Maketh Tua was close lol.
Sabine's painted armor looks so stupid here. I wish she started wearing the clan wren colors. It's really immature tbh. And the whole weapon she made thing has always been cringy to me. I thought she was just a cadet how could she possibly know how to design weapons...
Also why wait until now when the show is nearly over to finally show Kanan and Hera's romance?
Heroes Part 2
Still good. These are the kinds of stories I want to see. Not lame ass cargo runs. Also Tiber Saxon was pretty cool honestly I wish he didn't die. The whole deal with the weapon locking onto armor still feels pretty dumb and cheesy but I will look past it. Imagine if we saw shit like this in the Mandalorian. Really hoping we do in season 2

In the name of the rebellion part 1
I really liked this one. There feels like a massive step up in quality for some reason. Idk what it is better writing, music, animation or a combination of all three. The Yavin base looked really good. Nice to see Saw again though it's strange how he looks so much older now. I don't think it's been that long since we saw him. It looked like Titus died at the end though that kinda sucks
Rebellion part 2
Good episode again. However I do feel like they treaded a little too close to the plot of the movies

Heroes of Mandalore Part I is kind of a strange opener for the final season, given that it's mostly about Sabine and not the larger rebellion. But I'm glad they decide to get the final Mandalore story out of the way so the rest of the season can focus on the rebellion and Force plots.
It's not my favorite Mando-centric episode, but it's still pretty enjoyable. I feel like they made Ezra comedic relief more than usual just to show how mature Sabine was. I don't think that was necessary, since she's already a pretty good character without that. I like Bo-Katan's inclusion, but really don't like her character model. She's a nice compliment to Sabine though.
I'll go with 7/10. Most of the good stuff happens in the second half.

Part II finishes the plot nicely as we see Sabine pass the Darksaber to Bo-Katan as several clans unite behind her. Although I wonder if Moff Gideon kills her to get it or if there's more to it that we'll learn in Mando S2.
Tiber Saxon is an interesting twist on Gar, and all his scenes are really good. I would've liked to have seen him more, but also he's not very relevant to the overarching plot of Rebels. A cameo in the final TCW episodes would be cool, but not really expecting it.
It would've been crazy to have Tristan and Ursa actually die. Honestly, I think it would've made this arc better for Sabine's character development. The fact Sabine designed such a complicated weapon feels a little strange to me. It seems like something a higher official would oversee in Krennic's department. But I'm not going to fault the episode too much for that, especially since they've established Sabine has a history with the Imperial Academy and is clearly gifted with technological skills.
8/10.

In the Name of the Rebellion Part 1 feels like it should've been the premiere for the season. Although I'm glad they wrapped up the Mandalore story so now we can focus solely on the rebels and Lothal, that arc feels a little disjointed from the rest of the season. This episode steps up the quality and gives me a lot of what I wish we had earlier in the series. It feels like there's more depth to the rebellion, not just a ragtag group that does whatever they want.
The dynamic between Saw and Mon Mothma works really well, and I the mission here also feels different compared to most. I guess the writers wanted to hold off on this aspect of the show until the end, but I wish we had more episodes in S2 and S3 that had similar tones to this one. It offered a more complex and engaging plot.
I'll go with 8/10. I really enjoyed this one.

I'm so glad they chose to expand this story into a Part 2. The focus on Saw, Ezra, and Sabine is really fun to watch and kind of makes me wonder how a show with them as the main cast would've been. I don't like that we can understand the Deathtroopers, but their presence adds some intensity. The Krennic reference was a nice touch, and I think it's good they refrained from showing him.
I liked how Saw kind of betrayed them in the end, it fits his character. I could honestly see Ezra joining Saw's forces if Kanan wasn't such a big influence. The explosion at the end looked amazing, somehow this show keeps improving them.
The connections to the main films improved this episode even more. It felt unique, exciting, and meaningful... not a random side quest that served as filler. Another 8/10 for me.

Alright I'm kinda looking forward to Bo-Katan in the Mandalorian. Still think it's too many characters but I guess we'll see
I really wish they dropped the Sabine weapon thing. They gave her way too much backstory stuff
- Mandalorian - Imperial cadet - Advanced weapons designer as a mere cadet in a non-engineering field - Bounty Hunter - Rebel - Age is 16-22
Makes zero sense for her to have done all this shit at her young age no way she's older than 25. Mandalorian background was interesting enough no more was necessary

In the Name of the Rebellion is a really fun two parter probably up there with my favorites. This was basically Rebels' equivalent of the Yoda or Fives arcs from TCW as all of them sort of gave more background to and were directly connected to the significant things we saw in the movies. Saw is also a really great character I'm glad they used him in Rogue One Because that made him appear in all these other materials. Otherwise he would've just been another throwaway TCW character. I hope we see him more in other stuff but I'm a bit concerned about Forest Whitaker's availability
Also they killed off Brom Titus and Commander Slavin in the same story that's crazy but we are in the end game now I guess. I wish the quality of these episodes could've been the standard for the show. I think they really stepped it up with the music and cut back on the cringe dialogue which makes it vastly improved

Something off about the jet packs in this one. Like no matter what direction the rockets point, all the characters keep moving in the same direction with the exact same speed. Like idk, it’s like watching a video game.

Part 1 is a good episode, though I’m not sure how I feel about it not relating to the Rebellion. Maybe it will be a good thing to get this out of the way and move on to the main plot it’s still a bit weird.
Agree that Sabine as a master weapons designer is a bit weird. When they dropped this during Trials of the Darksaber it kind of took me out of it. Like she’s not at all a bad character but why do they have to keep adding things onto her? It makes her feel less relatable.
I kinda wish we had started the season Yavin but ah well I guess we’ll get there. Expected Sabine’s dad to be some warrior badass so definitely surprise to find out he’s a total pussy.
With the every episode I watch, I keep telling myself now Ezra will be mature and somehow it never happens. I guess if it happened in the final 20% of the show it wouldn’t feel right anyways so I guess we’re stuck with him.
Not sure how I feel about the ending deaths. Like yeah I get why Sabine is sad but I’m definitely not sad. It has a nice tragedy to kill half her family right before they reunite. But we never got to know Tristan and whatever the mom’s name is. I guess I just wish that hit harder.
Solid start though. 7/10.

Was Sabine being a genius inventor ever hinted at before Season 3?

Part 2 is good at well. I admit I’m a little disappointed that Sabine’s family survived. It seemed a little too convenient and I think it would have been more interesting had she lost them.
Tiber is a pretty cool villain. Wouldn’t mind seeing more of him but I guess there probably isn’t time now. Still a little annoyed with Sabine being smarter than Tony Stark. I feel like I must have missed that part of her character in Season 1 and 2. They should have made her at least 25 IMO. Its a little ridiculous.
That being said I liked it. Good action scenes. No irritating characters. Liked seeing Bo-Katan get the sword even if she looks like eh went through botched cosmetic surgery.
Still wish someone had died though. As much of a struggle that it was, there was really “no cost of war.”
7.5/10.

Part 1 of ITNOTR is great. You guys said it, but it feels like a step up. The conflict feels a lot more serious. The writing feels better. My only big complaint is that Ezra is still retarded but other than that, high quality stuff.
Excited to see what they’re doing with Saw after that ending.
8/10

Part 2 was great as well. We’ve seen a lot of “infiltration” episodes but this one managed to be a lot more exciting and less predictable than what we’re used to.
I think Saw is a great character to have on the show and I wish we got every like his more often. Really good pacing and great visuals.
8.5/10

I'm going to raise both Rebellion episodes to 8.5/10. They're some of the most rewatchable episodes in the show for me and really delivers on plots I wish we saw more of throughout the series.
