This arc feels very different from the rest of the show. It's kind of like what I'd imagine TCW to be if it was serialized instead of doing episodic storylines

This episode was better... I really liked the locations and the visuals were quite stunning, some of the best animation we’ve ever seen. However the dynamic between these two sisters and Ahsoka is kind of not doing it for me, at one point I thought of Ghostbusters 2016 and that’s not a good thing.
The Anakin and Yularen Cameo was pretty cool and I hope an Anakin subplot picks up next episode. Honestly though this still feels like filler, it’s really not too much better than the Season 5 Younglings arc and it seems to take the exact same direction that Ahsoka gets captured as well. This was still a bad arc for the final season.

That Anakin scene though was very similar to the one in Episode 6... where Luke gets sensed by Vader. I think it’s foreshadowing that Anakin will meet up with Ahsoka this arc.

This was a pretty good episode, definitely an improvement from last week's. Rafa and Trace weren't as bad this episode, but other than the one scene with them all arguing on the ship, the dynamic still doesn't feel as interesting as it could. I appreciate the sisters not blindly following Ahsoka's every command. If anything, Rafa seems the most rational given that they aren't aware of Ahsoka's past.
The Anakin scene was a nice surprise. I agree that it hints at a potential meet up between them. If that doesn't happen, then I'd like to see Anakin and Obi-Wan talk about Ahsoka at some point.
The Kessel labor camp was a good connection to what we see later in Solo and Rebels, as well as a link to the Zygerria arc. Overall, I like the direction we're heading, the pacing is just a little slow.

Swear Trace has autism... But if you ignore how much of a retard she is this was a pretty big step up from the last episode. The Yularen/Anakin part was great of course. I like seeing Venators in planet atmospheres lol. I'm guessing this is shortly before the battle of Coruscant. But does that line up then? I figured Ani/Obi would've left immediately from where they were during the outer rim sieges and gone straight to rescue Palpatine. If Anakin is already on Coruscant he must've seen Padme recently so her reaction in ROTS doesn't make sense... idk
Anyway Kessel was cool. I'm guessing it used to be a very beautiful lush planet and gradually it is completely stripped for mining operations as we see in Solo (and Rebels I think?). Kinda like Mustafar except not really lol
But they are seriously retarded. You're really gonna try to swindle the Pykes, who are a major galactic cartel, and take their credits without delivering their product? Obviously they will be after you. They could've just flown away after Trace the potato dumped the spice. Less chance anyone would've been after them

Solid episode. Clear improvement. Loved the Anakin/Ahsoka moment.
Minor detail that I liked. It's kinda comforting to know that you actually need a license to fly starships lol.
Trace still annoyed me a bit now and then. Like her childish excitement at the banquet. I get that she's naive but you can show that with a bit more subtlety sometimes. Not a big deal though.
I'm guessing next episode will also feature Ahsoka using the Force for something before the big reveal happens in the last episode of this arc.

As things are now, Anakin will have to go back out to the Outer Rim. In Rebels Ahsoka says that the last time she saw him he was rushing off to save the Chancellor, so that's clearly right before ROTS. Also fits with what Filoni has said about what TCW ending would be like. Anakin leaving Ahsoka but surprising her by leaving Rex and the 332nd behind and them then honoring her with the mask design. Then Order 66 happening while Rex and Ahsoka are together. What I'm starting to wonder about is how they'll handle the timeline during ROTS. After Anakin return to Coruscant he'll be surprised to see Padmé pregnant and then it'll have to be another few months before she near full term and Order 66 happens. So what will Rex and Ahsoka be doing for those months if they'll both be there when Order 66 happens? Will it just be a months of battle on Mandalore? That's not unusual for real battles of course but it would be for TCW. Of course they might just skip along and not really acknowledge that they've been fighting on Mandalore for months. Wouldn't be that weird for TCW to do lol.

I was kinda thinking that too but I think if this arc will lead directly into Mandalore that would be kinda hard to do. They might have to alternate episodes of bad batch with episodes of this... And even then I’m not sure it lines up So I’m starting to think there’s gonna be some plot holes after this is all done... Also it would’ve been nice if Anakin’s darkness was developed more or his fall in ROTS was fleshed out further as it’s a bit rushed in the movie. What you said about him leaving the troops for Ashoka makes sense and I could see that happening. But is that really gonna be the ending with those two and the last they see each other? Anakin is ready to kill all the Jedi in ROTS and is fine with Order 66 happening to them. But I doubt he would be okay with Ahsoka getting caught in that... Idk

But I think they altered Bad Batch for these final 12 episodes so that Bad Batch is now very close to ROTS.

Probably, and I'm guessing both Bad Batch and Ahsoka was supposed to be season 6 (the original season 6, not Lost Missions) episodes. Siege of Mandalore was probably still part of the Clone Wars finale. That's probably what makes Anakin's appearance on Coruscant here a bit awkward.

Siege of Mandalore was probably still part of the Clone Wars finale. That's probably what makes Anakin's appearance on Coruscant here a bit awkward. Bad Batch was confirmed to be the original season 7 premiere arc, Ahsoka was never to make an appearance in season 6 from what we know. The Utapau arc was supposed to be in season 6 I believe where Anakin is only just starting to cope with the loss of Ahsoka. Anakins updated model was also supposed to be season 6 I think Dave said but they didn’t do it for lost missions due to budget. The original timeline of arcs would have been something like. Season 6: Utapau Fives arc Disappeared Clovis (technically was season 5 tbh) Son of Dathomir Possibly Boba arc here too Season 7: Bad Batch Ahsoka Walkabout arc (one we’re watching now) Dark Disciple part 1 Yoda/ Force arc (they made this from scratch as a makeshift ending for TCW during The Lost Missions but it should take place more forwards the end of the war) Season 8: Kashyyyk arc (speculated return of Bad Batch as well) Dark Disciple part 2 (was 8 episodes planned) Siege of Mandalore Then there’s various arcs we don’t know exactly where they fit in... there was a Sith temple arc with Ahsoka on Coruscant, a Rex/ R2 story that sounds like filler, there was a second Mon Cala arc (god knows why?) and a Yuzong Vong arc which would have been fairly interesting. I think that’s everything that was planned total. Boba arc might have been season 7 but if we look at how Bobas clone wars story plays out, he only makes appearances every second season, same with Bane for the most part.

Just kinda reminded me, it annoys me how they put Clovis arc chronologically in Season 6. That clearly was not the original intention and I don't know why they had to put it there. It's jarring to have Yoda and Palpatine switch back to their earlier character models, a well as Ian Abercrombie return after Tim Curry. And from Obi-Wan's dialogue, Satine is clearly meant to be alive.
In fact, I believe there's a number of holes in the "Chronological Order." Bounty Hunters takes place immediately after the Holocron Arc, where Felucia is lost to the CIS. Then they go there looking for a medical base and are surprised to see the CIS. Clearly, this should take place first. And it's not like the CIS just abandons Felucia; the Republic takes it back in the Season 3 finale arc.
Also Shadow Warrior taking place right after the Mon Cala arc is awkward and weird. The Gungans send their whole army to back the Republic, and then in the very next episode, they're ready to march on Theed alongside the CIS? And either way, I don't know why you'd put Jar Jar in an episode right after the last arc included him so heavily.

I'm sure there are a lot of plot holes but I think minor stuff like this isn't easily caught if you're not paying super close attention. I think to be fair most tv shows have their share of plot holes. I'd be more tolerant of a show having holes than a movie

I'd be more tolerant of a show having holes than a movie It’s just that all of these could be fixed just by changing the chronological order. Put Clovis in Season 5, Bounty Hunters before Holocron, and put space between Mon Cala and Shadow Warrior. Clovis is by far the most egregious example, but I’m just saying there are quite a few problems with the chronological order and I don’t think it was thought out that well.

Lol then what was the point of showing bad batch first? To build up hype for Ahsoka? Idk. I think they could've done this arc, then batch, then Mandalore. I've been saying the last episode of this arc will lead directly into Mandalore but I could be wrong. And look at what they've done in the past. All the Maul arcs had many episodes between one another

Improvement over the last one, but I'm just not feeling it interest wsie. It's not helped by how the sister's don't have much of an engaging chemistry with Ahsoka. Kessel's cool and all, but the pacing just feels too slow a burn. Like Zuma though, I appreciate the added detail of needing a starship license
