I kinda wish Ahsoka had been a main character in these episodes. Rex and Kanan’s interactions were good, but two episodes between Ahsoka and Rex could have been incredible.

Part 1 of the season opener works well. The murder of Minister Tua really establishes a darker tone for this season, especially since she was set up as someone who seemed like they'd stick around for a while. I also like how the Empire seems more competent in this episode.
Seeing more rebels beyond the Ghost crew is pretty neat, even if Commander Sato is the only one we really get to know.
I don't have any major complaints with this episode. Overall, it's enjoyable and gives the season a strong start. 8/10.

While not as strong, Part 2 is still pretty good. Seeing Vader toy with Kanan and Ezra is cool, especially the shot of him emerging from the wreckage. Lando fits nicely into the episode as well, but it still feels a little forced having so many legacy characters appear so much so early into the series.
Vader's destruction of the rebel fleet is very impressive, I'm glad to see them reference Anakin's pilot skills. The Emperor's appearance in the end also adds a nice touch. I'm glad they chose to have Vader back off after what he did here. It could have really hurt his character if they kept him so centrally involved.
I'll go with a 7/10. It's not great, but it's still a good, fun episode.

The Lost Commanders really fumbles the return of some cool TCW characters while also making most of the behave uncharacteristically. It's somewhat entertaining when you don't think about it in the context of the entire universe, but the moment you do, it becomes much worse.
Rex and Kanan are probably the best aspects of this episode. I also appreciate the repurposed AT-TE, regardless of how logical it would be. Everything else falls pretty flat for me, which is a shame given what it could've been. I agree with most of the points already stated, so I'm not going to bother typing them again here.
I'll rate it 5/10. The premise is interesting, the execution is just very sloppy.

Surprisingly, Relics of the Old Republic functions much better, both with the characters and the plot itself. I really like the AT-AT sequence, I think it's one of my favorite moments from these early episodes. Even though Kanan and Rex are still at odds, I enjoyed how they worked together to escape their situation. Additionally, Kallus and the Empire itself felt like more of a threat this episode compared to a lot of the S1 appearances.
Also, it's interesting to note that Pablo Hidalgo stated Gregor and Wolffe stayed behind on Seelos to make the remaining AT-AT their new home. At least it gives some reason as to why they don't show up again for a while, but it's kind of a cheap way to write them out.
This is a 7/10 for me.
