So as some may remember, I did one of these for Video Games and The Clone Wars but figured it’s a good time to do one for GoT. Just a reminder that “favorite” and “best” are often interchangeable for this. Just copy and paste the template for ease. This is also only basing off the show by HBO and not the books.

Funny how you thought Stannis had the best intro but I kind of thought he had the worst... I think he should have been seen in season 1 at least once tbh.
Bran is pretty high on my worst lists too... more cause he’s boring then being terrible though.

I literally rewatched all of season 8 in the past like 36 hours and the first 3 episodes ain’t that bad IMO... the second half of the season blows.
But the thing I thought of is that you could have literally took the plot of season 8 and made it a 10 episode mini series like Band of Brothers and it would probably make sense and work tbh... so essentially just combine the 4 best episodes from season 7 with 8 and change a few things and it works fine. That’s how much the last 2 seasons disregarded the rest of the show. Like really what does Ned Starks or Robert Baratheon deaths have much to do with anything by season 8.
Other shows you can find key moments from earlier seasons that still shape the ending, but here I think you literally could have pulled off the ending without 80-90% of the rest of the show, especially the stuff in Essos.

The problem imo is that the show is split into 3 parts. Seasons 1-4, 5/6, 7/8.
Imo the events of 1-4 don’t have much significance to the events of 5/6 besides the Nights Watch which has the best continuation of the whole show. The events of 5/6 and before don’t matter much to 7/8.

Bran is pretty high on my worst lists too... more cause he’s boring then being terrible though. Yeah idk I thought Stannis came off as really badass in his first episode. Tbf he kinda faltered for awhile after this. I was okay with Bran up until Season 7 but I really despised him in these last two seasons and it pissed me off that he became king.

It's kind of tough remembering certain moments of the show, since a lot of episodes and events blur together. Without rewatching and reviewing the series extensively though, I think this is pretty accurate for me.
If the final 2 seasons hadn't been disappointing, I probably would've given the show a 9 or 10.
