So December is the release date for Desolation Of Smaug? Desolation of Smaug - December 2013 There And Back Again - December 2014 (first it was June/July but they pushed it back) Sweet can't wait! Thanks  . |

It was more of behind the scenes and what was to come for Desolation of Smaug from what I heard. Production didn't even hit off yet for that movie so I doubt a "trailer" could be released yet. More of a figure of speech for a bonus clip only certain people could view sort of thing.

There is no trailer yet. It might come this summer. Maybe with Man of Steel because that is also Warner Bros.

It was sort of a trailer at the end. Like it was a trailer but it was all green screens in the back ground. Luke it was a trailer in progress. At the end, Thorin said "I am the King of Erebor. I have come to reclaim my homeland." And there was also a long clip of Gandalf at Dol Gulder.

Disney should have bought LOTR and screw it up instead of SW.... IMO. And if there is a topic for LOTR then why not for other stuff?

I've only seen the first LOTR. And trust me it was so confusing. And what are the the Hobbit prequels supposed to explain? Like the PT in SW was about Anakin's fall to the Dark side.

I just read up on Facebook on the Hobbit page that we should be getting "The Desolation Of Smaug" trailer on Tuesday, June 11th. I'm so excited!
