Weapons Factory is one, big load of solid okay-ness, but because it's continues from Landing at Point Rain it was doomed to be overshadowed. That wouldn't have happened if they made more spectacle out of it and made things feel more climactic, but this just felt like half battle unmemorable battle scenes and half fleeting character moments. As a result everything feels a bit undercooked. Sure it fleshes out Anakin and Ahsoka's partnership (which, by the way I'm starting to think is another one to add to the Jedi Council's dumb decisions list), we get Bariss along for the ride and more time with Luminara, but really everything just felt a bit too brief and thus the episode suffers the lightly recurring TCW curse of poor pacing. Fortunately Legacy of Terror makes up big time. First off, is it weird that I felt sorry for that left behind battle droid? Secondly, the mood here is just plain perfect. It's not the most violent of episodes, but it is up there as one of the creepiest and I love it for that. Once upon a time I thought the show doing a zombie story would seem silly, since I always thought that kind of thing didn't mesh with Star Wars, but the animalistic nature of making the Geonosian "zombies" makes it fit better than I thought. It's also got such better pacing than last time and I kinda digged Obi-Wan's nerdy interest in the Geonosians. Can't help but think he got that from Qui-Gon in some way.

And now we have Brain Invaders, which, to be honest, feels like an idea that got a bit too silly. I will admit, that ending scene and accompanying score were surprisingly effective and it's always entertaining to see Anakin make another minor step towards Vader, but really the Geonosis arc kinda fizzles out in its conclusion. Maybe they wanted to got for a different approach than what was expected, but here it lacks the engrossing spectacle Legacy of Terror and Landing on Point Rain possess. On a final note, does anyone else think it's maybe just a bit hypocritical for Anakin to do any teaching in the ways of attachment?

I guess the conclusion of the Geonosis arc couldn't really be that epic when they had already left Geonosis.. lol. If they didn't have a vastly different plot for every episode maybe but if it was just a four episode long battle, it might've felt a little repetitive/boring/stretched out. And yeah I think Anakin is very hypocritical many times

It worked with Umbara, but that turned the battle into a backdrop halfway through in order to develop the clones and show their personal struggle.

Legacy of Terror is decent, again I really enjoy the banter between Anakin and Kenobi, it’s way better then the movies and it’s at its highest point in the crystal arc. Luminara is not a super likeable character though, she’s kind of boring and seems weak for Jedi. I know she’s more of a diplomat/ Consular though which probably means she shouldn’t be commanding troops in large scale invasions like this but rather keep her on prisoner of war defense like in the season 1 Gunray arc... Although it’s obvious the reason they use her is to establish the connection with Ahsoka and Barriss.
As for the rest of the arc, idk I don’t like it that much. I don’t care much for the queen, like it seems obvious she existed or there are multiple like her on the whole planet. I also don’t really like the concept of the worms and zombies and that kind of stuff, just seems like a really cheap knockoff of some of the old EU stuff IMO.
I’m going to give this episode a 7/10, without Anakin and Kenobi this could be a 5 honestly.

Brain Invaders is probably less interesting, idk Barriss ain’t all that intriguing either and this is still the point in time where I didn’t really care much for Ahsoka either, that doesn’t really come until mid season 3.
Again like I said previously the worms are a cheap knockoff of some old EU stuff and I really just don’t like it. Especially when it’s an established species like the Geonosians that we see normally in so much content. If it was a entirely different zombie like species, maybe I’d be more ok with it. Also the clones are nobodies I don’t care about.
I don’t mind the Republic frigate setting, having Fisto cameo is kind of nice and Anakin going all Vader is always cool but overall this episode is one of my least favorites from season 2.
I’m going to give this one a 5/10... maybe if I was in a more generous mood I could see myself giving this one a 6 but I just don’t find it all that great, never have really. I personally consider the worms their own 2 part arc and it’s one of the worst ones in the show both conceptually and in execution.

But why does the Queen speak English? That doesn’t make any sense.
No Geonosians speak it, not even Poggle.
