Well looks like I'm finally getting some more regular writing work other than my column in the local magazine. This boosting site wants me writing articles about various details in particular games, but since I don't play any I'm spending more time researching. Because of that I've learned World of Warcraft is one hell of a complicated game when you're a complete noob That's pretty cool. So you are writing about games now, as a job? Seems like it could be fun. Well it's not exactly a job. It's this same customer on my Fiverr account who's ordered from me for the third time. They've liked what I've done so far and want me to do more. They even asked me to re-write some articles. Right now though I'm in the midst of writing an overview of classic Warcraft classes for the Burning Crusade expansion. It's by far a more fun gig than my last customer's, where I had to write about coffee machine comparisons

Yeah yesterday and today it's down which is the opposite of what everyone predicted. This is the first time I've bought stocks so I'm still figuring out how things works. But yeah hopefully it bounces back. Even if it's not crazy gains it's fine I just don't want to be at a loss lol

Kinda weird their stocks go down though when mobile phone companies seem such safe bets. I'm not sure they even make phones now I think they do software or something. It's actually a bad stock I think, which is why hedge funds are betting on it going down so they can short it. But I think Reddit thinks it can do a short squeeze and profit while simultaneously screwing the hedges. Basically the next GameStop/AMC situation. At least that's what I understand...

Well, for what it's worth, I hope their plan succeeds. It was pretty entertaining seeing those hedges get screwed during the GameStop saga Does this plan involve some of the minds behind the GameStop situation?

This day, 15 years ago I created my RuneScape account. It actually wasn't my first account, I made one a few months earlier but got stuck in the tutorial because I didn't speak any English and had no idea what to do. But this was my first journey into the online world. Before RuneScape I had played other browser games and offline games of course, but I had never directly talked to other people through the Internet.
Back then the game had like 300.000 active players at once all throughout the day, and it was mind blowing to see hundreds of other players hanging out at the major trading spots in the game. As weird as it may sound RuneScape was a life-changing experience to me. It is even the reason I ended up here. It the main reason I could speak English well enough to join Starwars.com 5 years later.
It is quite crazy to think it has been 15 years since I was exploring this new world as a 9 year old, taking to NPCs thinking they would be real players too. Or since me and my friends tried to come up with naive plans to get in the game's hiscores. I can barely believe so much time has passed. I feel like I am getting old...

I also played on a different account then I have now for 4-6 months I want to say. To be fair though I wasn’t very efficient back then, I still remember that when you kinda got me back into the game I only had 13 million xp... I spent way too much time questing and doing mini games or random stuff back in the day, although it was fun

I remember trading in the banks for what seemed like years. I actually enjoyed that the most back then. And no, I wasn't very efficient either, but I think that was what made RS so fun back then. I was just messing around or playing minigames all the time, I didn't care that much about the xp rates, I didn't have the patience to grind skills anyway. Nowadays the game is all about efficiency that's why minigames and PoH are dead unfortunately. I think I preferred the old way. I went to claim my cape yesterday btw, did you see the new trailer for a Senntisten quest? I mean, I don't like how they made Azzandra and Zaros villains recently, but this quest looks good. I will definitely be playing that some time soon.

Well I feel like it's kind of impressive how a nine year old managed to get into playing Runescape. I'd be such a sad sight with how clueless I'd be The feeling is very much mutual I'd give to press the replay button and enjoy that part of my life again. Even if my biggest PC gaming experience at the time was just playing that Lego Island game

That’s why I always go back to old school every now and then because people do still play mini games there, although it’s not like back in the day because efficiency is still kept in mind a lot now days. I think the big difference is the wealth of information found online currently, back in the day there was no RS Wiki and YouTube wasn’t super popular for guides, it was mainly just pking stuff and random Machinimas. Honestly I still haven’t done the last Desperate Times quest and I need to do the Azzy quest obviously... but yeah I was reading up on the City of Senntisten quest, it looks pretty good. I need to get caught up, I’ve been playing somewhat off and on this year on both my main and Ironman

I watch this YouTube named SirPugger a lot over the past couple years, his main focus on his channel is hunting down hidden bot farms in OSRS. I find it pretty fascinating given bots in Members worlds of RS3 are near non existent, it’s interesting how complex some of the bots have become and how much effort goes in to trying to hide the bot farms

Well, I just got elected to the local board of the political party I joined. Because they are a new party and wanted to get involved in municipal politics they needed a democratically elected board now. I was already involved locally, but I didn't actually apply for the position... until last week when it turned out they only received 2 admissions and they needed at least 3. So I applied to make sure we could still participate in the elections next years... so the vote was only "Yes" or "No" because there were 3 positions and 3 candidates... but still, I got voted in with 84% of the votes, the other two only got 60% so that's pretty cool.
It is not a paid function at the moment, since the party is new. And I cannot actually vote for the party during the next elections, because they only decided to participate in one municipality in our region for a start... But still, they can get 2-4 seats in the municipal council of the fifth largest city in the country... and I am not responsible for making sure that happens. I will directly know and work with several people that legislate in my region if we can manage this. Pretty cool actually, even though I feel I am under-qualified.

That seems pretty cool even if it’s a smaller party, did you still want to be a teacher though? It's a small party, but also very new... they are rising fast so this is going to be interesting. Also, we currently have 19 parties in Parliament... so there aren't many large parties left anyway. And idk what I want to do. Doesn't look like I will be a teacher. I tried to apply for a minor in teaching history which would allow me to teach the lower classes of high school... but since history is one of the more popular subjects there was a selection and I didn't get picked. Maybe I will try to get a job with this party tbh. They had vacancies recently for political assistants to the MPs that got elected earlier this year. I suspect they may gain more seats during the next European and National elections, which means more money to more vacancies for jobs like that. I might just try to apply... if I manage to fulfill my 2 year mandate as board member and finish my European Studies degree I think I may have a decent shot at that. It pays really well and since most of the party's support comes from young people my age wouldn't be a problem...

MEPs don't really get any media attention and my love for the European Parliament might trump by hate for public speaking. But I would only do that if I feel I actually improved my speaking skills and if I got enough experience in politics. But the next elections are in 2024... so who knows...

Hmm, I have already been invited to meet with officials of the local wing of the GreenLeft party, which I previously voted for. Not sure if I will actually be the one to attend, we still have to decide. But it is pretty cool, they are actually part of the coalition in the city in which we are hoping to participate in the municipal elections... They are ideologically very close to my party as well, so maybe this is the beginning of the formation of a new coalition.
