Well had another online dating misadventure. This girl starts chatting to me. She's not the most fun to talk to and when we video chatted it was a bit awkward as she hardly spoke. She was also a bit off. Apparently she had basorexic tendencies (sudden desire to kiss someone) and had this weird thing for french kissing. She also said one of her exes was in and out of prison which sent up some red flags. I ended up politely trying to text I didn't want to go out on a date and she. Freaked. Out. Started cursing and raging at me and demanding to say I found her unattractive. To be honest I feel very bad, since I don't at all like conflict and I hate making people upset, but she has some issues to solve... Some females be crazy bro. logged in just to make this comment. I was with a girl who seemed completely normal we messed around for a bit, one day she didn't take her meds and it wasn't like a withdrawal effect it was more like this girl was psychologically damaged or crazy and needed medication to exist properly. Just like giving me creepy and crazy vibes. Not acting right. I always liked having her around but during that specific hangout I was internally imagining how I let some crazy bitch off her meds who used to be in love with me...in my house. Was kind of concerned lol

Also the finest dame I've ever slept with believed in (and practiced) witchcraft and worshipped a goat goddess. She had a kid at 14 (she was 18 I was 19 at the time we hooked up) and we were at the same college but she said she kind of wanted to be a stripper. I feel like that's kind of random but like women are sometimes really strange and out there. The hotter the crazier too man. Spontaneous note but story time! So Dethan (my best friend) was trapping (selling drugs) back then and basically he had pulled up on a play (drug deal) and the guy trying to buy pulled out a gun we'll call him Hector. My friend Dethan grew up in the city and a particularly bad city so he laughed and told the guy holding the gun to shoot but the guy basically shook the gun and was scared. Anyways after this y'all gotta understand respect means a lot so if someone tries something that means your basically bait and others will try shit and your info gets around. I was basically trying to set Hector up so we could jump him but then my ex plug got involved his name Vicente and he was chill asf we went to hs together but this man in his words, "stopped selling weed and graduated to selling meth" well this dude was tweaking started doing the meth and hector was trying to get Vicente paranoid. So Hector told him that me and Dethan were trying to rob him. Vicente specifically was basically muscle for hire too. He wouldn't "off" people but he would beat them up and scare them away for money. I personally know this to be fact. He's a scary motherfuka. He called me and was literally like "tell me right now why I shouldn't pull up and bust a cap in you and your homies ass" Let me tell you guys I've never been personally so scared in my life. This dude was not capping. I've beefed with a few people tbh and I was never ever fearful like I was of this guy. Now that I look back I'm pretty sure Hector who tried robbing my friend Dethan had paid Vicente to get us, and Vicente was on a meth fueled binge and was making shit up like we were trying to rob him to get us to show or some shit.
I once pulled up to government housing and like two large black guys with hoodies over their faces came up to the car and were tryna play games and distract (its a long story). Long story short I got socked in the nose and my homie got punched three times while putting his car from park to drive. It seems pretty boring where I live but crazy stuff happens. My one friend was jumped by six guys and his brother was there with him and started stabbing the 6 guys. The reason it happened is because my friends first jumped this kid who tried robbing my friend and his brother the guy they jumped was cool with this crew of black guys. My other friend is apart of the crew (specifically a gang located around) and was trying to call it off. He wasn't there though. Two or threeish weeks ago the main drug dealer in our area got caught and started shooting at the police and he got shot, survived, but he got like 9 felony charges so he gone forever. That last part was a little confusing without names but if any questions I'll answer them!

I was a little bored thought I would post here and these are true experiences. It seemed kind of inactive lately so maybe this will spark the conversation! Feel free to ignore it, not really the material usually covered in this forum but...alas everybody comes from different experiences. I told this one guy in my social work class in college these stories and he said I had a crazy life haha. I have some more too if interested.

Echani's stories are so wild and tbh kinda scary I don't even know what to say honestly lol lol, same here. Half of me wonders if he's having us on, but deep down I think it's true Makes me wonder how the hell he's still alive. Despite being around bad influences, I stayed away from drugs, I saw my homies get hooked, my first love...etc. It changed me to see the pain drug abuse creates. I grew up good and bad. Back when I was younger I had a really good home life. Once I got to high school I moved. Honestly no matter where I lived I was gonna get into this type of shit. It didn't help though to be going through a type of struggle I can only describe as being too broke too breathe. Despite my surroundings and stories I'm still just one of you guys. A big Star Wars fan! I don't want to end up in jail, dead, etc. To me these stories aren't crazy they are normalized. I'm used to all of this. I'm humble for what I have and in those situations they could have gone worse. When I was struggling I worked, but since payday was every two weeks....it was hard man. What wasn't normal to me was seeing my homies fridge and pantry stacked. Has a nice insulated house...hot water..etc. I was a lot younger and saving was pretty hard. Around time of corona I was in college I had to decide wether the internet bill or food for the week was more important. Basically all I am trying to say is a lot of my homies didn't struggle like me. I learned from a very early age what repercussions are. When they got offered coke it was fun, I declined it eight times because I knew what my homie could be hooked on would have me homeless and dead. I didn't have the same support structures if he needed rehab or some shit he could get it. That's not why I stayed away from drugs though, they really change you. I always just wanna be me, and my experiences made me. Not some chemicals to escape. See I can't escape like a lot of people, I have to stay successful and on the ups every single day or else im gonna be in the same position I was. Mindset is key and lot of people I know lost sight of that. Friends who lost sight of themselves and that hurts the most. Seeing your friends turn into something they aren't.

Do you guys vote? In America people are so hostile and aggressive towards non voters. I'm not voting. Never felt such bias from news networks either. Andrew Yang's 1,000 a month idea scared me. Money don't grow on trees. Not sure what to believe anymore....news is directly influenced by money from third parties. It's different from the past too. I got something in the mail that said "DID YOU KNOW EVERYONE ON YOUR STREET KNOWS YOU HAVEN'T VOTED?" with like everyone's names who hasn't voted. They wanna play scare tactics and I just not playing. Oil industry is important, we do need to transition but there are repercussions. Oil goes up, lost jobs, etc. To me, everything is super far left or right and most people meet in the middle. I genuinely see both points from both sides. The thing is no matter what decision you make a group is affected. I highly disagree with Trump's remarks on FAUCI though. I'm not sure what he wants Fauci to do other than his job...I mean he is an Epidemiologist. There is disagreement in the scientific community about his approach, while I will say more agree than disagree. There is pockets of scientists, epidemiologists, doctors, etc who disagree with his approach. I mean after the stories I told I'm sure nobody want my ignorant ass voting anyways. I agree with Biden ideas, but think they may not be feasible. He's a corrupt politician at the end of the day and I personally lean democrat.

That takes a hell of a lot of willpower to get through that kind of life intact and that gets a lot of respect from me. Hopefully someday you can sort of escape those kinds of surroundings.

The news Media has been biased for ages. For instance Tucker Carlson the biggest name on Fox News is legally speaking not news. In a recent court battle it was declared that no reasonable person would think he was giving out news. Then why the hell would he be on a news channel.
Anyway they are all biased either through the journalists own perspective or through the company that owns them. I’ll go down the list of major newspapers or news channels CNN/ Left NBC/ Left CBS/ Left ABC/Left Fox/Right MSNBC/Left
MSNBC being the most biased left one
For newspapers you have the New York Times/Left LA Times/Left Washington Post/Left New York Post/Right
Guess what Fox News and the New York Post are owned by the same man.
I find it best to get news from two sources one that is left one that is right. Will help you find the truth.
But all media is biased and that is not changing.
Just like how there will never be a perfect candidate
Something that I hope does change is how people treat political parties like sports teams. Vote for the best candidate don’t vote just because they have a D or R in front of their name.
No matter who wins on the third. This country will be in for a horrible winter due to Covid. We are reaching 100k new cases per day.

Yeah this is something I've been thinking of. Seems like many people sometimes just blindly party vote. My parents kinda do this. I think there's often just this mindset of democrat = good republican = bad or vice versa in certain circles. Trump was affiliated with Democrats in the past. Party likely doesn't even matter to many politicians, they go where they have more opportunities and political favors

They’ll go to whichever party that will more likely elect you. For instance if you want to win in say California and your running near a city unless your running against a very crooked Democrat your almost certainly going to lose if your republican.
If a candidate is very morally bankrupt they may lose. This was seen when Doug Jones a democrat won the senate race in Alabama. He ran against a guy who was once banned from a mall because he couldn’t leave kids alone. Roy Moore his competition was a sick sick person. But Doug only won by like 2% against an alleged sexual predator. Which shows that many people were willing to look past Roy’s morally and legally horrible behavior just because he was a Republican.

Looking pretty close with that election over there. Apparently the turnout's the biggest since the 1900s. That entire election is a mess. As someone on Reddit said, it is like watching the Sacking of Rome in realtime. This is the end of American hegemony we are witnessing. Somehow Trump, for all the dangerous authoritarian shit he has spewed still got about half the votes, and could still win even... And this "Leader of the Free World" is basically making a dictator move by attempting to have a large amount of ballots removed from the results. And there is no way he is going to just leave the White House if that fails. There are European leaders, even from the UK government (and I am not a fan of Boris either) calling on the US President to respect the basic principles of democracy now. The fact that this is needed is ridiculous. The American century is over. Even if Biden wins. The US has basically committed geopolitical suicide. Now China is probably going to take charge and push the world towards totalitarianism. In my opinion, the only way to have the Free World survive into the 22nd century would be if we can somehow fix India, and use their demographic power to counterbalance China. Or if the EU federalizes... or at least improves its current system during the 2021 reform conference. But right now neither India or the EU can take over from the US, so things are looking dire for the future of liberal democracy...

I mean, I didn't even know you're still allowed to run when you've so clearly got the kind of mental deterioration he has. At a recent rally he referred to his granddaughter as his deceased son... Well he seems pretty bad from the clips. I watched long videos of him a few weeks ago and then it does not seem as bad. Definitely not an ideal candidate, but still much better than Trump. They may both have mental issues, but at least Biden doesn't seem like the kind of person that would dismantle democracy and the post-WW2 world order on purpose. And that seems like a plus. But Biden is not the problem. Reagan had actual dementia while in office, so nothing new there. If Biden had won with a landslide you could write off Trump as a one-time mistake, return to the status quo, and hope for a better candidate in 2024. Basically, you would have bought the US 4 additional years to sort out its problems. But the fact that half of the US voters would support someone with very clear authoritarian ideas and tendencies shows that their entire system and culture are broken beyond fixing. Those people are not just going to go away and change their mind. They will happily vote for the next authoritarian that comes along. And maybe this time the wannabe-dictator is actually competent, and can manage to get the popular vote. The only reason Trump may lose is because he acts like a clown. Basically, the US is the Weimar Republic after 1929. I am not saying there will be literal fascists taking over soon, but their democracy is weak and fails to produce solutions, and there are new political leaders trying to form a cult of personality. They are heading down a dark path. We won't see the next Hitler, but we just might see the next Putin or Erdogan.

It doesn't look like Biden's much of a great choice either. The worry I think some feel is that Biden is just a puppet president, like Reagan or Bush, which isn't ideal either. What has Trump done that's made him so authoritarian though? And I'm not trying to argue, I'm genuinely wondering that

And I'm not trying to argue, I'm genuinely wondering that Trump has done plenty of authoritarian stuff. 1. Right now he is trying to shut down the democratic process by suing to have votes removed from the results. He also declared victory without any reliable results to support this 2. Trump encouraged supporters to cheat in the elections, monitor polling station (intimidation of voters) and considered delaying the elections for the first time in US history. 3. He repeatedly refused to say he would give up power willingly after losing the elections, in fact he claimed he could only lose if the Democrats cheated. This hinders a peaceful and democratic transition of powers 4. He has created a cult of personality around himself, his core supporters follow him blindly. This cult is similar to that of authoritarian leaders. Trump can basically do whatever he wants and they will continue to support him. The leader can do no wrong. 5. Additionally, he has created an alternate reality for his supporters through propaganda. His core supporters believe pretty much everything he says, even if there is proof to the contrary. 6. He is more friendly towards people like Putin, Mohammed bin Salman or Erdogan than he is towards democratic leaders like Trudeau or Merkel. He even praised the former leaders for their strength (meaning powerful hold on their country). 7. He has vilified journalists, reportedly even going as far as saying they deserve to be executed in a private conversation. He also refers to all media that is remotely critical of him as "Fake News". Authoritarians do/did the same thing. Hitler talked about the "Lügenpresse" (Lying Press) as a way of discrediting "Jewish and Communist media". The German term was used in the 2016 election by Trump allies as well. Trump himself also called the media the Enemy of the People. 8. Trump has made veiled calls to violence against his political opponent. For example here. 9. He has repeatedly managed to escape justice through corruption. He tried to interfere in investigations against him, and there were no consequences because he appointed the right people. 10. He creates scapegoats (Muslims, Mexicans, Democrats, "Socialists") for his people to lash out at. 11. Trump and his fellow Republicans have tried to tip the balance of elections in their favour through a variety tools. There is probably a lot more, but this is just what I got off the top of my head. He is not Hitler or Stalin, obviously, but he is very dangerous, and it is becoming increasingly clear. Americans had to overwhelmingly vote him out to reject this kind of authoritarianism. But they didn't, and now, even if he loses the White House, it is only a matter of time before a more refined version of Trump manages to continue where he left of. Sorry for the rants. But this really seems like it might be a pivotal moment for the future of democracy. I hope I am wrong, and the US manages to normalize itself under Biden... but I cannot be too sure.

I'm not sure we'll ever see another president like Trump for a while. He's a very specific type of character that sort of goes against the American political norm. Not to mention if he really does end up losing the gig (even after this, inevitably, goes through the supreme court) I just think his fanbase will eventually die down as former presidents don't really get much notice. That being said, I think someone like him with more refinement could come along next time, but that depends on what the democrats do. If they don't do anything that ruffles feathers amongst the republican voter base too much, then maybe American politics can sort of calm down. However, one thing I am sure of though is that I highly doubt Biden will go the full term. With the way he's behaved, I feel like they'll cart him ooff and let Harris take the reigns.

However, one thing I am sure of though is that I highly doubt Biden will go the full term. With the way he's behaved, I feel like they'll cart him ooff and let Harris take the reigns. I think these election results prove he does not go against the political norm. Electing an authoritarian once is an accident, but if they give him 67+ million votes a second time we can call it a pattern. We can only hope his fanbase dies down, but right now it doesn't look like it... and I think Trump will stick around even if he loses and is (forcefully) removed from office. When Obama was around I only occasionally saw him mentioned online and in the media. Trump has dominated the Internet and media for five years now. He is not just going to disappear into the background like Obama did... especially given his personality... he loves attention. I think his base would be willing to support someone just like Trump in a few years time. And people know that acting like Trump works now, so there will be people adopting his style. And imagine if that person is actually competent. Imagine if he doesn't downplay a pandemic, needlessly attacks allies, and knows how the American political system works. Someone like that, with nefarious intentions could actually gain enough votes and turn the US authoritarian. Sure, there would be resistance, but the US is not France... if Macron had done 10% of the stuff Trump he might have lost his head three months into his presidency. Americans don't protest, not at the right moments at least. They won't stop this from happening.
