True, but I still plan on sticking around, so that's a plus  Same. But honestly, the activity has been pretty consistent over the last 1-2 years. A shade of what it once was, but still moderately active. Only Spider leaving seems to have made things slow down a bit more, but who knows, maybe he will be back... True, though I do miss when we had loads of people here around 2013/14  I like to think he will. Site says he's been on here recently. |

Makes me wonder what some of users are up to now. Yeah, I think you, me and Tater all joined around the same time. Things is, although I remember Tater joining later than us, I don't know which of us joined first It's weird though, as my time on SW.com only lasted more than a year, but my memory treats it like it was some years long tenure I think I remember Newan saying he joined like in 2005 or 2006 when the forums were still there. |

I think The Boys is kind of a slept on show it's really good and not what I expected. It feels like a fresh take on the superhero genre with them all being assholes lol. But the title is weird tbh not the premise I would've figured based on it. It's funny how a lot of great tv and movies recently have been based on some sorta obscure old books or comics. Like at first it made me think wow are they really making creative content now? But then I find out it's just based on something else

Just got some shocking news about my aunt, who usually pays attention to her health, is in hospital for what seems to be a brain aneurysm. Good news is she's stable and conscious. she even talked to her kids over the phone, but she's having an operation tomorrow. It's the best version of a bad situation really, but christ almighty it's been a shock for us all...

Good news is she's stable and conscious. she even talked to her kids over the phone, but she's having an operation tomorrow. Undergoing operations is probably extra bad now, since (and I assume that is the case in the UK as well) you cannot really get a lot of visitors. My girlfriend's sister had an operation a few months ago and she had to stay for a week or two I believe, and through all that time only one person could visit her and only at very limited times because of the virus. I hope your aunt won't have to stay too long. |

The great news is she seems perfectly fine after the operation, she even regularly calls family and my mum says she sounds fine. Well, I'm afraid it's even more strict than that. No one can visit, not even her kids or my uncle, who were really put through an awful emotional trial. Video calls are the best she can do. I've heard she has to stay there up to ten days and it involves a lot of sitting in a bed, so it's also very boring. My mum read up about recovering from this kind of thing and it pretty much means she's going to need a lot of family support. Fortunately she's got my mum, her mother in law, my other aunt and even me to lend her a hand where we can. It's tough as she's pretty much the leader in her family and my uncle isn't very competent at so much as basic housework. |

Well I just found out that one of, if not my number one, favorite bands, The Buttertones, fucking imploded. So apparently all the members have rape/assault allegations and one or two of them were involved with underage girls as well. Also some really creepy/sociopathic behavior from one/some of them in general. The band is done now but I think two of the core group will try to rebrand or something but idk don't see how that will work
This sucks man these boys were putting out some bops and now it's over. On top of that there's actually a few more indie bands I liked facing similar allegations like damn... I'm gonna be honest I guarantee every rock band in the past has lived this wild drug and sex fueled lifestyle but they didn't get cancelled. Not to say that makes it okay but at the least it makes it unsurprising I guess. It's all fucked up for sure but at the same time it kinda is what it is let's put it that way. I bet the Beatles would not have survived in today's culture lol

The stories I've heard about the Rolling Stones make them very much the opposite of saints, yet they face no criticism. I find it hard just to join a match as they keep filling so quickly I also don't like playing with randoms. With my siblings it's good fun, but every time with randoms they're either too dumb, leave the game if they're not imposters (or "scum" as I prefer to call them ) or just don't discuss. It's hard finding the sweet spot. |
