It's a similar thing with us. Only in our case it's a PS3. We're a little behind Does that include stuff like Lego games when it some to the PS4 library? I get that. I never had the PS3, so I had my PS2 for ages. I even bought a cheap PS3 game once in anticipation of getting the console and then never got around to it  Great decision on my part... Nah, something like Lego I'd probably get on nintendo. I think I got the old one for my old old Wii. I guess maybe I'd differentiate between cartoony games and non-cartoony games more than between Nintendo and non-nintendo Well the only reason we ever got a PS3 was because we found it at a shockingly low clearance sale price a couple years back. Never thought I'd see a new one at 63 euros Yeah, most of the Lego games we have are on Wii. Sort of wish we had some PS3 ports instead though |

Any of you guys own a Switch? I've thought about getting one, but I don't know. Anyone know of any good games. I've thought about getting Mariokart, Mario Odyssey, the new Zelda game or Smash Bros. Maybe Pokemon for nostalgia lol. And can someone explain the deal about Animal Crossing!?!? It seems like everyone is going crazy about it. Is it really that exciting to build a house on an island? I haven't got a Switch (a Wii and a Wii U though ), but I did play on one once. Honestly, I'd say the library's pretty darn good. I mean, the ones you mentioned are truly excellent (can't tell you the time I've spent on Mario Kart and Breath of the Wild). If you're into JRPGs, apparently Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is pretty good. Then there's Splatoon 2 and a pretty good selection of ports. Not sure if the latest Pokémon's any good though. It feels a bit lazy on the creative side. I think an unusual amount of people just like Animal Crossing for the gentle escapism Splatoon 2 and Xenoblade 2 are absolutely must haves on the Switch I'm so hyped for Xenoblade Defenitive Edition at the end of this month! |

If you only want it for handheld, get the Switch Lite for about $100 less. Main downside is you can't detach the joy-cons or connect it to a TV unlike the regular one. Games that most anyone will enjoy are Smash Ultimate, Mario Kart, and Breath of the Wild ( Ivar-Jedi can vouch). Pokemon Sword/ Shield, Animal Crossing, Mario Odyssey, Mario Maker 2, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses are all solid games too depending on your interests. There's lots of other games that I hear are good, and several ports, although I don't see the appeal of playing something like Dark Souls or Witcher on a switch compared to console or PC. I can vouch for all of them  However i found Pokemon Sword rather disappointing. |

Got hit with that quarantine 15 😩😭. Tbh I never exercised but managed to stay at like an acceptable weight by just not overeating and like just walking around campus but obviously it's different now. Maybe I can take comfort in knowing a lot of people are going to come out of this a lot fatter lol but maybe not. One of my neighbors is out here lifting those big water tanks and whatnot outside everyday like not sure why he has to flex so hard

Like you are not supposed to go outside if you have any Corona-like symptoms, but mine literally show up the moment I go outside. Got a bunch of angry looks for sneezing when I went for a walk. It also felt kind of awkward when I got it during my first visit to my girlfriend in weeks. Like it kind of made it look like I was bringing the virus to her family... Luckily it seems like whatever was causing it for me is gone now. |

I am finally going to start printing Anakin's lightsaber. It's something I've wanted to do for a while but always held off because of how much filament it requires. But I got a big ass spool now so I should be good to go. Eventually I want to make Han's DL-44 too but that one is a lot more tedious to print because it has way more parts. Also painting it to look accurate would be more challenging I think. I would love to have a 3D printed Clone helmet or something too but I think my printer is too small for that... Also I'm probably not talented enough to give it a good paint job lol
Anyway buying filament now has become a lot harder there's a lot more demand because of quarantine so everyone is either sold out or selling for too high prices...

Wasn't George Floyd not exactly a saint anyway? I'm not saying he should've died, that cop clearly has major, major issues, but I really don't understand how people are just treating Floyd like he was some altruistic rhino conservationist, or a rescue worker. He was a criminal who went in and out of jail. Again, his death should never have happened, but treating him like he was some hero, or just posting some black squares doesn't really help much in the way of racism.
Also, it's getting utterly barmy with how much infighting there is online over this now. Instagram is just a warzone of arguments.

I honestly don’t know that much about Floyd but it would not be the first time. Black Lives Matter was founded on the death of Michael Brown. If you were alive in 2014, you undoubtedly heard how he raised his hands and said “hands up, don’t shoot!” and was mercilessly gunned down by Officer Wilson The problem is that this never happened. In fact, Michael Brown reached for Wilson’s gun and was described by witnesses as out right attacking Wilson. After this part, Brown did run away. That is correct. But when Wilson caught him, Brown did not surrender. He charged. But those facts, backed by forensic evidence, were pretty inconsistent with the story that Michael Brown was some virtuous saint who wouldn’t hurt anyone. And thus they were swept under the rug. |

I think it is more about the fact that the amount of police murders per capita is ridiculously high in the US. In fact it about 60 times higher than it is in the UK and 30 times higher than the Netherlands. That is a problem. And black people seem to be overrepresented. I don't really care too much about this whole situation. I guess that Floyd guy may have been a criminal. But that seems irrelevant to the issue. Law enforcers cannot just use excessive force, even on guilty people. That is one of the crucial pillars of a constitutional democracy. It is also important to note that every suspect is to be considered innocent until he has been judged by court. Nevertheless, the video shows what amounts to murder by a police officer. Also, I have seen a few of other stories about black people being murdered for no particular reason recently (like that jogger who got shot by a former policeman) and I am not even in the US. So I am guessing this has been brewing for sometime and this specific case was just a catalyst for the protests, not the cause. So I understand the reason behind these protests. But the disregard of the pandemic situation is stupid. Especially those people who were protesting in places like Amsterdam and Berlin who blatantly ignored corona regulations and went to protest the death of a guy on the other side of the world. I get their claim that it is a sign of solidarity and of combating racism here in Europe (it was recently revealed the Dutch tax agency actually had racist policies in place behind the scenes) and under normal conditions I would have respected that. But protesting now is just going to make your cause less appealing to others because they have been suffering under these corona regulations for months only for a few thousand people in Amsterdam to totally ignore them and potentially contribute to a second wave. |

For example, including gay/trans people in fiction could be virtue signaling, but it does make sure new generations grow up seeing these things as normal. This black square thing is completely pointless though. But not exactly something new... It is the same thing as having these French flag filters on your Facebook profile picture after a terrorist attack in Paris... Or those people on Twitter with tractors in their username to support the farmer movement which was terrorizing the Netherlands before the pandemic. Or in the real world it is the same as having a flag out during a nationalist holiday. It is all about pressuring people into appearing as if they support something, but it doesn't have any real effects. |
