The second part of this arc is pretty entertaining, but not as good as the first. My main complaints would be that Anakin seems to heal too quickly from his injuries, and the viewpoints of the Lurmen are not as fleshed out as I would've liked. Lok Durd was a cool addition to the Separatist villains, and I really like the introduction of his weapon. The fact that it proved so dangerous made him out as an actual threat even if he was somewhat goofy.
All of the action sequences were good, just like last episode. Despite not exploring some of the themes as much as I would've liked, I still credit this episode and the previous for even attempting that this early into the series.
Not as good as Jedi Crash, but this was still a nice conclusion to the story arc.

Also, it was a odd how Obi-Wan and Anakin were still drugged even after they switched their drinks at the very end of Dooku Captured. That could've used a little more explaining, just like how Dooku was robbed of his lightsabers on Hondo's ship. It's not major, but it would've been nice to have an explanation at least.

My rankings for these episodes would be:
Dooku Captured: 8.5/10 Gungan General: 8/10 Florrum arc: 8.25/10
Jedi Crash: 8/10 Defenders of Peace: 7/10 Maridun arc: 7.5/10

I’ve read somewhere that Aayla looks and sounds “too mature” compared to what you’d expect from her brief appearances in the films.

She does look pretty young in the movies. Like Anakin’s age maybe. But here she seems closer to Obi-Wan. Especially since her master was Quinlan Vos, it’s kinda odd.

I could see why some might think that, but I don't think it's that glaring an issue. Anakin was 19 in these episodes, so even if Aayla was 25 or so, it'd still be believable.

Jedi Crash is pretty good I like it. Quell's atmosphere looked really nice with all the color. One thing I noticed during the venator Fight was Bly's binoculars were down in one frame, up in the next, then missing in the third lol... But good to see him and Aayla in prominent roles. Though his cheek tattoos are weird... Also besides Ahsoka, all the female Jedi seem to be really boring... Shaak Ti, Aayla, Luminara all are really monotone and bland and don't get any development. Would've been interesting to see Aayla in the Ryloth arc
Also Ahsoka says they are fighting for freedom??? The Separatists are fighting to secede and the Republic is trying to stop them
But the premise is fun reminds me of something you'd read in an old Star Wars novel

Not much to say about Defenders of Peace it's a good continuation although maybe the ending felt a little abrupt. What I think would've been interesting was if throughout the series we saw the Separatists and even the Republic creating superweapons gradually reaching the power of the Death Star. However we saw the Death Star was already in the works in AOTC but if we didn't see that that could've worked.
Also I feel like that king Julian looking ass dude is a little retarded.... Is that really realistic for a neutral place getting invaded to just lie down and die? Like if Switzerland was invaded they'd use their army... Idk the main problem is the portrayal of Separatists truly evil
What might've been better for these episodes is no Ahsoka, just Anakin and Aayla and also they flirt with each other a lot......

You don't get that same impression with Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, or Even Piell. It's a missed opportunity I think, since they could have made these female Jedi characters much more dynamic and interesting. Instead, they mainly used those characters for more development with Ahsoka.

Saw the first arc. I once didn't rate it highly, but now I kinda like it. Hondo gets a pretty impactful and, most importantly, memorable intro. It's also another one of those stories with that goofy one moment, violently serious the next severe mood whiplash TCW always seemed to enjoy using That said, the level of incompetence and outright arrogance on the Republic side here was near laughable. Another weird thing I noticed is how Jar Jar's clones kept changing from three to four. However I loved the pirates using stereotypical flying saucers. Loved the scene where the smaller shuttle leaves the mothership. I weirdly like tiny little details such as that

My guess would be that they expected them to switch drinks, so they drugged those cups too, but you're right, that needed a bit more clarification.

Okay, finished with Maridun and to shake things up I'll give it a pros and cons. Pros + Liking the western, samurai movie feel it aims for. + That opening battle in the upper atmosphere was actually pretty darn cool. + Sonic the Hedgehog lemur aliens + Music that kinda reminds me of Legend of Zelda material at times. Cons - The Lurmen's philosophy had its merits at one point, but then it turned from pacifistic viewpoint, to downright suicidal - Despite her... uh, distinct design, Aayla's not much fun here. Kenbo's right. The female Jedi really don't get much in the charisma department, which is a shame, especially when Aayla's meant to be something of a free spirit. - No idea why the Seperatists couldn't make another one of those organic killing weapons. Did the one set of blueprints get blown up or something? Pretty solid. Again I'm surprised how much of season 1 hasn't made me cringe out of my chair
