Ivar mentioned while ago that he might do a plot breakdown for him ROTR movie. Thought that was a cool idea so I thought I'd try it.
Notes: Story is heavily influenced by the Godfather and Boardwalk Empire. It is not meant to be wholly original. It is meant to be a story adapted into the world of Star Wars. I know that Almec dies in Season 7 of The Clone Wars. This story was conceptualized back in 2018 so he appears here.

1. Hutt for DinnerValeoh “Valy” Teros welcomes eight guests to the Batuu Mansion in preparation for the upcoming election. Among them are Forsith Teros, Freddy Castilla, Wren Vax, Ezem Golls, Zaiah Orea, Argus Tills, and Ezem Golls.
His brother, Forsith, is named candidate for Lieutenant Governor, and Freddy Castilla is to work in his staff. Valy introduces crime boss Rotta the Hutt to his inner circle. Rotta makes a secret deal to provide narcotics and exotic prostitutes to the people of Batuu.
This meeting is overheard by a Human civilian named Sed Evander, who drunkenly enters the meeting. Forsith apprehends Evander, who is warned by Valy not to communicate that Rotta is on Batuu, as this could cause problems on Tatooine. Valy then releases Evander.
The next morning, Freddy eats breakfast with his wife Shula and their four year old son Luke. Freddy expresses frustration that Forsith was chosen as Lieutenant Governor, as he expected to be chosen himself. Shula opines that if Freddy hadn’t dropped University and gone to fight for the Rebellion against the Empire, he could have the necessary experience and a better case for becoming Lieutenant Governor.
Forsith tells Valy there is an emergency. Directly after their meeting, a long-range transmission was sent to Naboo. The recipient was a Gungan crime lord named Gattis Tamon, who also is a rival of Rotta the Hutt. The transmission alerted Tamon that his activity on Batuu breached an agreement between Rotta and himself.
Valy orders Forsith to kill Sed Evander, who they presume is an agent of Gattis Tamon. Forsith personally kidnaps Evander, takes him into the woods surrounding Black Spire Outpost, and executes him. Meanwhile on Tatooine, Rotta the Hutt lands at Mos Eisely Spaceport. Within minutes, he is shot dead by a Kel Dor Assassin named Lorgan Yent.
2. Gentle ChaosNews of Rotta’s death reaches Batuu. Forsith tells Valy that yet another transmission to Naboo was intercepted, meaning Sed Evander was not the sender. Valy concludes that one of his guests must be the true traitor, ordering Forsith to call each of them back to his mansion, including Freddy.
Before the guests arrive, a young Togrutan woman named Kreia asks for an audience with Valy. He accepts, but then learns she is the wife, now widow, of Sed Evander. Valy worries that she suspects his involvement, but learns that she is unaware of his death, simply believing that he has run off. Kreia explains that Sed is an alcoholic but asks if Valy could find him a job. Valy politely declines, but offers her five thousand credits to get by.
The eight guests arrive back at Valy’s mansion, where he informs them that he has discovered one of them is a traitor. When none of the guests admit guilt, Valy locks down the mansion, informing them that the guests must vote for who they believe the informant to be. Valy grants Forsith immunity from being voted, as he trusts him completely. Freddy is angered when he is not granted immunity, with Valy expressing that Freddy once held his total trust, but that he barely knows him anymore.
While the guests discuss who to vote for, Valy goes to visit the previous Governor, Kadis Almec, who once served as Prime Minister of Mandalore. Almec is now in poor health, likely nearing death. Valy asks Almec for advice in dealing with the traitors. The governor warns him that the Sed Evander situation may not go away, and that even if it does, the New Republic will soon be cracking down on Black Spire, not allowing its rampant corruption to continue.
Lorgan Yent meets with Gattis Tamon, and the two discuss targets necessary to eliminate in order to control Tatooine. Tamon says he has his eyes on Batuu as well.
3. The First BetrayalThe group elects to vote off Argus Tills, who they are suspicious of due to his pandering nature towards Valy. Valy is disappointed in the selection, as he strongly doubts Tills would betray him. Nevertheless, he imprisons Tills in a makeshift cell in his basement, allowing the others to leave. He discusses this with Almec, who says sometimes it is more important to catch someone than to waste time catching the right person.
Freddy arrives home late, getting into an argument with Shula. He asks why she had to name their son after Luke Skywalker, whom he sharply hated during their time together on Hoth. Shula angrily tells him that if he had not run off to fight in the war, he could have had some input on their son’s name.
Freddy storms out, and decides to question Argus Tills himself, hoping to prove his worth to Valy. He sneaks into the Batuu mansion in the early hours in morning, hoping to frighten Tills into revealing if he is a traitor. Freddy wakes Tills, gun in hand, and begins angrily questioning him. Tills maintains his innocence, frustrating Freddy. Tills catches Freddy off guard, grappling the gun out of his hand. The two struggle and Freddy is eventually forced to stab Tills to death.
A prostitute of Valy’s sees Freddy covered in Tills’ blood. She screams repeatedly, alerting Valy, who decides to imprison Freddy in the same cell. Kreia Evander returns to Valy’s mansion, weeping that her husband has been found dead in the woods. Valy attempts to comfort her, stating how sorry he is for her tragic circumstances. He offers her additional money, which he reluctantly accepts, and he has Forsith escort her home.
Later, Wren Vax meets his accomplices Ezem Golls and Quince Rom at a strip club, all congratulating each other for convincing the others to vote off Argus Tills. They are met by Martin Dianado, the right-hand man of Gattis Tamon. He tells the three that Tamon has more work for them if they are interested, which the three gladly accept. There, Dianado becomes smitten with a dancer named Abigail.
4. Rising TidesForsith returns, saying Kreia is infatuated with Valy, and that he should ask her to dinner. Valy says he is too busy for any of that, and dismisses Forsith.
Valy and Freddy have a long conversation in the makeshift jail cell. Freddy expresses that he was angry about being passed over for the job of Lieutenant Governor, and that he was not even named to replace Forsith as First Alderman. Valy calls Freddy arrogant and is offended that he thought he was anywhere near ready for such a position. Valy echoes Shula’s words and says that had he stayed at Palpatine University and not gone to fight for the Rebellion, he could be much happier with his current position. Freddy asks when Valy will release him, and Valy responds when he learns some humility.
Through a hologram, Vax, Golls, and Rom meet with Gattis Tamon, who are all surprised to see that his is a Gungan. Tamon reveals that with the death of Rotta, last of the Hutts, he has been able to takeover the criminal world on Tatooine. He explains that he and Rotta once held a truce to keep business off of Batuu, but with himself as the sole power in the sector, he wishes to openly set up business there. Tamon asks if they believe Valy Teros can be reasoned with, with Vax believing he can be. Throughout the conversation, Golls continuously jokes and offends Tamon, mimicking common Gungan speech patterns, which Tamon himself does not use.
Valy then receives a hologram from Gattis Tamon. Tamon cordially extends an offer for the two to do business together, hoping Valy will put profit over the any personal feelings for the recent events. However, Valy angrily reveals he is fully aware that Tamon put a spy in his ranks and killed Rotta, ruining an important deal for him. He dares Tamon to show his face on Batuu before hanging up.
Martin Dianado sits in on another of Abigail’s dances, with her noticing him and expressing her interest. He meets her after work and the two have sex. Forsith goes to see Shula, falsely telling her that Freddy has been sent on important business by Valy, and will return soon.
5. The Siren’s DanceZaiah Orea alerts Valy that two prostitutes have been murdered, each with the word TAMON carved into their back. Many of Orea’s girls are too scared to work, threatening to shatter the prostitution industry of Black Spire Outpost. In response, Valy orders Forsith to mount extra security in Orea’s brothels, searching each customer and collecting identification.
While Forsith is catching his breath outside one of the brothels, he is shot in the stomach by a masked assailant. The assailant returns to his accomplices, Golls and Vax, and reveals himself to be Quince Rom. Vax is not pleased that Rom toppled one of the most profitable industries on Batuu. Golls expresses that this will distract Valy and make it easier for Tamon to move in. Vax agrees, but expresses anger at the unnecessary death, and argues that the damage will carry over even after Valy is removed.
Valy hears the news that Forsith has been shot, and goes to see him in the hospital. The two agree that they need to strike back against Tamon. Hearing about Forsith, Kreia again comes to visit Valy, gifting him an overcooked Porg she roasted. Valy kindly accepts and then throws the Porg away. He then meets with Almec for advice, who is noticably weaker due to disease. Almec recommends that Valy free Freddy.
Valy goes to see Freddy, asking for his help against Tamon. Freddy is cold towards Valy, reflecting the cruel words Valy said to him yesterday. Eventually, Freddy agrees to go to Tatooine to help Valy in exchange for Argus Tills’ old job as Alderman. Instead of going to see Shula and Luke before he departs, Freddy goes to the strip club. He meets Abigail in her dressing room, and she is revealed to be his mother. He tells her he is going to be gone for a few days and asks her if she can check in on Shula and Luke.
Tamon speaks to Dianado, Vax, and Golls, asking them to control Rom. Golls attempts to make light of the situation, angering Tamon and causing him to shut off the transmission.
6. The Bright CenterAt a spaceport on Malastare, Freddy boards a shuttle to Tatooine. He sees a row that is empty except for a man with heavy cybernetics, with a metallic mask covering part of his face, a robotic eye, and tubes sticking out of his neck. Freddy introduces himself to the man, who says his name is Skaven Faris. He speaks with a very soft and raspy voice due to injuries.
Skaven explains that he served as an Imperial Stormtrooper in the 501st Legion, and was among the Empire’s most prized sharpshooters, gravely wounded in the Battle of Endor. Freddy reveals that he lost his own leg fighting for the Rebellion at the Battle of Jakku. The two share some of their war experiences.
Freddy and Skaven go to Mos Eisley Cantina and drink, briefly getting into an altercation with a Trandoshan bounty hunter. After winning the fight, Skaven sees a woman he interested in, but does not want to approach her due to his cybernetics. Freddy approaches her, telling her that Skaven is war hero. She becomes interested and heads into a back room with Skaven.
At Mos Espa, Lorgan Yent attends a pod race, but is bored by the insurmountable lead quickly attained by Ben Quadniaros. Freddy Castilla takes a seat next to him and introduces himself. Yent ignores him before Freddy states that he is a friend of Rotta the Hutt. Yent reaches for his blaster but realizes his weapon was confiscated when he entered the race track. Freddy assures Yent that he is not going to kill him. He asks Yent if he attained his skills as an assassin in the war, and Yent says is not foolish enough to fight in a war. Freddy calmly tells him a story about his time in the battle of Jakku, where he watched a wounded stormtrooper die over the course of six hours. Without another word, Freddy leaves
Lorgan Yent is shaken but relieved after the experience. He takes a deep breath and tries to see what is going on in the race. There is a blast into the crowd, and Yent slumps over, dead. Spectators search for the source of the shot. More than a mile away, in Hutt Flats, Skaven Faris lowers his gun and calmly leaves the race track.
7. The Old MinisterMartin Dianado and Abigail Castilla finish having sex, and she leaves to get him something to eat. He relaxes until Freddy enters the room, gun drawn, with Abigail behind him. She smiles and says Martin should be more quiet when speaking to Gattis Tamon at night.
Freddy questions Martin about the identity of Tamon’s spies. Martin lies and tells Freddy there are no spies, and that the transmissions Valy intercepted were simply his own reports to Tamon. Freddy accuses him of killing Orea’s girls, but Martin points out that his own mother can attest to where he was on that night, and claims (truthfully) that Tamon did not organize the murders. Freddy lets him go, not wanting to cause further problems with Tamon.
Meanwhile, Valy is concerned with the upcoming election. Though he held a comfortable just days ago, the chaos involving Tamon has induced panic and raised concerns with his leadership. In order to appear less corrupt, Valy drops Forsith from the Lieutenant Governor position and elevates Devin Kreese, who is well-known and popular among citizens. Soon after this announcement, a casino is robbed by a disguised Quince Rom, who burns all of the credits
Freddy returns home to Shula, who is angry at him for taking off for days and ignoring their son. Freddy brushes this off, saying he has received a promotion from Valy, and that they will soon be able to buy a larger house and nicer clothes for Luke. Valy sees Kreia again but she is cold towards him, brushing off his greetings. The next day, Freddy receives a call from Abigail, who tells him that he needs to visit his father, who is very sick and will die soon. Freddy reluctantly obliges.
Almec is tended to by his maid, and asks if Valy is coming to see him. She says not today, but that he does have a guest, and sends in Freddy Castilla. Freddy says he never has seen him look so weak, and Almec says that’s because he never sees him. Freddy asks why only now he has an interest in him, and Almec says he was never good at dealing with children. Freddy asks him why then he had to deal with a 13-year old Abigail when he was 56. Almec says Freddy would do the same thing in his positions and that he earned it after being sent here by the Empire. He tells Freddy that he built this planet from nothing, turned it from a backwater cesspool into the most popular resort world in the galaxy.
Valy heads to Kreia’s house late at night. He tells her that he does not appreciate her playing games with him. She kisses him and they move to her room.
8. Funny PropositionsWren Vax tells Ezem Golls that Gattis Tamon is fed up with his antics and that he is no longer welcome in their meetings. Golls then believes that he will be killed, and goes to Valy and Freddie. Golls tells them that he, Vax, and Rom were the spies and had meetings with Tamon and Martin Dianado. He reveals that Rom organized the brothel murders and shot Forsith himself.
Valy has both Vax and Rom apprehended. They are restrained and brought to his office, where he also summons Zaiah Orea. Valy, Freddy, Golls, and Zaiah deliberate what to do with the men. Wren Vax admits that he has been working for Gattis Tamon for some time and that he recruited Golls and Rom. Vax also states that if he is released, he could negotiate a peaceful end to the feud between Valy and Tamon. Rom meanwhile gleefully recounts his murder of the two prostitutes, saying that Tamon will kill them all. Zaiah angrily strangles Rom to death, and is not stopped by Valy or the others. Valy releases Vax, telling him to go back to Tamon.
Freddy and Abigail go once again to see Almec. Freddy discovers a stash of poison in Almec’s mansion, discovering that Almec’s maid was poisoning him. His maid admits to the crime, explaining that she was from Mandalore and her sister died due to the Moogan tea which Almec allowed to be served in her school. Freddy calls Valy, who comes and lets the maid go, giving her money to start a new life, angering Freddy, Almec and Abigail. After Valy leaves, Abigail tells Freddy not to be mad at Valy, as he was the one who introduced her to Almec.
Freddy goes home and apologizes to Shula for his frequent absence, explaining that he lost himself in the Galactic Civil War and still has trouble connecting with her and Luke. He promises to try and make things work.
Tamon speaks with Dianado and Vax about his ongoing feud with Valy. They manage to convince him that with the heavy amount of resources dedicated to controlling Tatooine, it is not worth it to fight Valy. Valy and Tamon finally meet in person and make peace.
On the day before the election, Valy gives a speech with Devin Kreese, accusing his opponents of unfairly seizing on the chaos. He blames all of the events solely on Quince Rom, including the deaths of Argus Tills and Sed Evander. He reveals that Rom has been brought to justice, and promises that he will always bring justice as Governor. Valy wins the election, officially taking the title from Almec. His first act is to dismiss Devin Kreese as his Lieutenant Governor and appoint Forsith, the charade angering both men.
Freddy goes to see Almec, who has recovered quickly. Both of them express their displeasure with Valy’s manipulations and callousness. Almec says Freddy should be the Governor, and that he will fight to make it happen. Valy welcomes Kreia to the party, introducing her to his guests while he looks to the future.
