Kinda weird how quiet they’ve been on this. I don't think there's much else to reveal besides the content of the episodes and exactly when they'll air.

Kinda weird how quiet they’ve been on this. Not really, they got nothing to show. Honestly I would not be surprised if they only have minimal work done on this thus far. We have barely any info on episode 9 yet as well, no doubt they will release stuff for both at the same time to appease all fans.

Star Wars explained was going through all the releases for 2019 and he thinks Clone Wars season 7 won’t be in 2019.
He has a good point because in the final fee months of the year we can expect to see Episode 9, The Mandalorian, Resistance season 2, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (Video game)....
That’s a lot of Star Wars stuff for those months and we can assume Disney streaming service will only just start to launch late next year. So yeah I could see Clone Wars being pushed back as well...

TCW is my most anticipated Star Wars thing next year, but I had to admit, The Mandalorian looks really good so far... overall Star Wars TV might be the highlight of 2019 (even if you don't like Resistance, it seems like it's doing fine and it can't hurt to have a kid's show running concurrently with all of these other ones).

Well that's considering it comes out in 2019. I agree it could come out in 2020. I wouldn't mind a delay if it meant we got more episodes.

Very much looking forward to this when it finally comes out. Never really thought anything new would come from the show. Happy to be proven wrong .

Well Game of Thrones is eight seasons so maybe this is a good analogy.
It’s like if the show were cancelled after “Mother’s Mercy.” But then we got “The Red Woman” through “The Door” as bonus content on Netflix.
Later we got story reels of “Blood of my Blood” and “The Broken Man” and a comic book that goes through “The Winds of Winter”
Then five years later they finished “Blood of my Blood” and then gave us the last two episodes of Season Eight.

To be fair... TCW is not comparable to GOT. Clone Wars consists of many separate stories, it isn't continuous like Game of Thrones. So it would be worse if they did this with GOT. It's still stupid though.

I’ve always been a bit apprehensive about having the whole Battle of Mandalore taking place concurrently with Episode III, especially given then 501st involvement. ROTS actually takes place over a pretty long period of time.
It doesn’t quite gel for Anakin to have to leave Mandalore to rescue Palpatine because surely he’d want to get back ASAP. But in the actual movie, he dicks around in Coruscant for a few weeks instead and I’m not sure you can resolve that.

This is sort of why TCW feels like it exists not so much in the same canon, but a parallel universe. It would certainly explain why Anakin's behaves differently in the show and no one mentions, or even hints at super important events like Maul, Yoda's Force trip, Ahsoka existing

He stays on Coruscant because A) He wants to be with Padme and resolve the issues with his vision about her dying (he hadn’t seen her for months) and B) The council demands he stays to spy on Palpatine, which is also why he and Kenobi both don’t go to Utapau

Ahsoka is apparently fighting for her life against Death Watch and Darth Maul throughout this and I don’t buy that he wouldn’t have some inclination to help her. Plus he even mentions that he got there from the Outer Rim Sieges.

He was more than willing to leave Coruscant if it meant he got to lead the campaign against Grievous. If he really only wanted to stay with Padme at all costs, he would have been glad they gave that to Obi-Wan

They said Mandalore takes place during ROTS? I think they’ve said the reason Anakin doesn’t participate is because he’s ordered to go save Palpatine.

May not be a satisfying ending if that's the case. I hope they do something nice. I know TCW is basically a collection of disjointed stories but it would great if it had a nice emotional sendoff for characters

And then Palpatine spun it around when they didn’t choose him

This was more than a year ago now lol It’s assumed to launch with Disney + as one of its opening draws... not actually confirmed though. But if that’s the case we can expect November release date I guess? Quite possibly at the same time Fallen Order comes out. And then episode 9 with Sheev in December lol.... would be quite a month for Star Wars.

“The product, which is set to be released in the United States on November 12, will be available in Canada and the Netherlands on the same day. It will then launch in Australia and in New Zealand one week later.”

I heard it wasn't coming out until the first half of 2020. We haven't heard anything about a release date and it's not listed as a launch show (like the Mandalorian), so I'm not expecting it until January at the earliest. Hopefully no later than March.
