Okay, this is kinda like what I did for TCW but I thought it seemed appropriate here. We all know Season 7 was pretty weak, disappointingly predictable, and plainly unsatisfying. But so like, what would y'all change?
I'll start by saying more major players needed to fall.

- The entire Winterfell storyline
- Jorah's storyline
- Jaime being totally fine with Cersei blowing up the Sept of Baelor. In the book Jaime started to turn against Cersei as soon as he got back to King's Landing with Brienne... In the show he does not even seem to care about all the evil things she does at all.
- Simply spending too little time on certain important meetings (like Tyrion and Jaime).
- The whole "capture a wight to convince Cersei she needs to team-up with us" plan. It was really quite ridiculous. Jon and Tormund should have known that capturing a wight would be a impossible, especially with like 10 people... They have seen the army of the dead, the fact that they happened to find a White Walker just kind of walking around on his own with like 10 wights, 9 of which randomly died when the Walker died, was extremely lucky (or part of the Night King's plan). There is no way Jon/Tormund could have expected that.
- Also, did they actually expect Cersei to be reasonable? Did all characters involved sleep through season 5 and 6?
- Castely Rock
- Sam's shit cleaning montage... Did we really need 3 minutes of Sam cleaning people's shit? Could have spend those 3 minutes on that Jaime and Tyrion meeting...

They needed to kill: -Grey Worm in Episode 3 or 4 It was completely nonsensical that he would escape Euron Greyjoy and the writers don't even try to remedy it. Having him die at Casterly Rock would have been a logical place to end his story and particularly heart-wrenching because he finally got with Missandei. His death would also create more friction between Tyrion and Daenerys and make things a bit more personal. Plus it would also be a great villain moment for Euron to kill him. The only cool moment Euron got was killing the Sand Snakes in Episode 2 but most viewers hated them so that actually made Euron more likable.
-Bronn in Episode 4 They set up a perfect opportunity to kill Bronn. You would have this guy, a rogue, a sellsword dying a warrior's death. He could shoot Drogon just as in the episode and then Dany and Drogon could kill him. Would be especially powerful since Tyrion was watching, making him question the price of the conquest just as Grey Worm's death would make Dany do. Also, since he's not there to rescue Jaime, Jaime is taken as a prisoner and that is used as further leverage to bring Cersei to the table in Episode 7.
-Tormund in Episode 6 Okay there were technically three character deaths in Episode 6, but they were the three easiest characters to kill. Not too many people were attached to Thoros and they couldn't keep him around to resurrect people. Benjen was obviously just brought back to die. And Viserion was the least notable of the dragons and pretty much everyone called this one. Tormund may have been the second-most expendable character of the group, but his death would have affected Jon and definitely gotten a response from audiences. His death also would have been shocking since most probably assume he'll get with Brienne. He felt like he was just around bc the creators like him. Benjen coming back was just a WTF moment for Jon so killing Tormund would definitely feel like a real price was paid to get the wight. It doesn't really matter how he died, but probably right before Daenerys shows up.
