Well that's quite unfortunate and unexpected... 60 is pretty young...
Not trying to sound rude but I wonder what effects this will have on the production of the sequels... Would they just come up with an excuse for her absence or would they use CGI again? Obviously using another actress is not an option.

Fuck. This is really sad and awful. Rip. Feels really real.... kind of makes it more weird/sad/annoying whatever the right word is that it's happened around Rogue One...
I think for Episode 8 she's good... for 9 they might create an explanation offscreen... CGI would be kind of weird it was kind ok for peter Cushing because he's been gone for decades but it would be kind of uncomfortable if they did that for Carrie.

I think it depends on how many of her scenes were already filmed. For Paul Walker his stuff was mostly done so they did the last few bits with his brother and CGI. Haven't seen Rogue One but I'm assuming Tarkin had a very small role? If Leia has a big presence in Ep 8 then idk.. The explanation will probably be she's doing something important somewhere else...
