Since it's Temeura Morrison's birthday, I think this kind of video is appropriate. It's great seeing how positive and passionate he is over it all. Plus I had no idea he was pretty handy with a guitar too! Didn’t he want to voice the Clones in the tv show at first too? I think the reason they didn’t is because his voice is kept unique for Boba/ Jango more so. But he’s done a lot of Boba voice work in video games. I know Hayden originally wanted to voice Anakin in the clone wars as well. But yeah Temeura is pretty big on Star Wars I think. I know Liam Neeson is as well, even Samuel L Jackson would probably come back if asked. The only big name that doesn’t like Star Wars that’s acted in it is Natalie Portman I think... I wouldn't be surprised if that was the reasoning. To be honest, I think TCW would have a very different feel if Temeura and Hayden were cast Yeah, I think Portman did poke fun at her Star Wars time when she hosted SNL a couple years back. From what I've seen though she doesn't really get involved with it anymore like visiting conventions etc.

But he was kinda disliked by a lot of fans, ever since the sequels he’s been embraced it seems. I mean I guess Ford is in the same boat a little, he doesn’t love Star Wars but I guess he doesn’t hate it. I think with him he’s mainly mad that Star Wars is what he’s best known for when he prefers a lot of his other roles like Indiana Jones or Jack Ryan.

Yeah, I think the fanbase sort of forced him into exile until recently I think that's the best way to sum up Harrison's opinion on Star Wars. I think he's even said Indy is his favourite role. It's actually fairly similar to Alec Guiness as he too wasn't happy that Obi-Wan was the only thing he was known for. And then you get guys like Samuel Jackson and Christopher Lee who were just delighted to be there

10 years ago today we were introduced to Savage Opress. I still remember watching Monster for the first time, as it was around when I began watching TCW faithfully. Before then I was kind of on-and-off with staying current.

Before then I was kind of on-and-off with staying current. I remember when I saw him in the season 3 trailer. I got so hyped about the idea of a relative of Maul looking for vengeance. Didn't quite turn out that way though and I kinda feel like they sacrificed Savage's character by putting the whole spotlight on Maul when he came back.

So I read Light of the Jedi, the High Republic launch book. Actually the first book I've read in many many years lol... I wasn't going to originally but the premise did kind of interest me and I saw too many people hating it without having read it and I thought I should form my own judgement. I think overall it was a fine story with fine characters. Not really what I was expecting though. I thought it'd be more western style with a focus on exploration and the frontier maybe a bit like Star Trek. They also threw so many new characters at us it's hard to tell who's who.
But I guess I did enjoy it for the most part. Didn't love it though like it was a decent story but I expected something a bit more exciting for the first book. There's some cliffhangers that have me mildly interested to keep following the series but there were also some sequel related turn offs...
- First they introduce another wacky force power which is being able to create rain.... Why?
- Then hyperspace skipping makes a return... Based on the Acknowledgements, where the author thanks Pablo Hidalgo for giving them notes on how hyperspace works, there's reason to believe this whole thing is a ploy to explain the questionable hyperspace maneuvers (and probably other stuff eventually) from the sequels who Pablo is a fan of.
- This goes further because the book also includes Lor San Tekka's ancestors who were hyper lane prospectors or something and who are able to do these crazy feats. They can easily make the connection where the San Tekka clan gives the Resistance those capabilities

Strangely I never ever thought it would be some lead in to Maul returning. I genuinely thought he'd stay dead

Thinking of that guess that means the eastern time slot for TCW was 8:30PM which is really late for kids.. I guess they kinda knew it wasn’t really a kids show but they just had the rights I suppose

Suddenly the maturity and dark themes in the show makes sense I mean really it felt like it was being torn on whether it was a kids show, or something more, a sort of tonal wrestling match that never got resolved

And it’s second run was at 11:30PM eastern... for me it was 6:30 and 9:30 respectively. That was on Teletoon, the Canadian version of Cartoon Network. In the states I think it was those same times for the first 4 seasons then a 8:30AM Saturday slot for season 5 oddly enough. Although that time isn’t very good for kids either I’d imagine.

Jeez, I wouldn't really put TCW down as a "saturday morning cartoon" I know over here it did sometimes show on the mornings, but mostly it was on around 6 or 7. I can't be too sure as we normally watched episodes online as it took freaking forever for episodes to get to UK channels

I still have no idea why cartoons from across the pond take eons to get here lol True, though there were some episodes from 5 that went to some dark places.

Oh clone wars had a fairly strong outing for where it was shown in season 1. I was on CTV in Canada which is one of two major news stations, it had a prime time Sunday evening slot every week. And it was on some other channels as well before only being relegated to kids channels

Ironically with how more mature and dark episodes were being, it would've been perfectly at home on those channels in those timeslots

Bad Batch coming May 4th. I was expecting March, April at latest tbh...
Also Republic Commando coming on PS4 and Switch. I wish they would've made a new game but okay... Might finally get it for the Xbox though I think it's only 10 bucks

If it's popular it could make that Imperial Commando happen.

Yeah honestly I thought Bad Batch wasn't going to arrive until October like TCW typically did. I'm happy that it's coming early May. Disney likely wants to capitalize on the break from MCU shows, since Falcon/Winter Solider ends late April and Loki won't start until June 11th.

I haven't seen any confirmation on the number of episodes for Bad Batch, but I have a feeling it may only be 12 episodes, putting it in line with TCW S7.
It'd be cool to have 20+ episodes, but Disney+ shows seem to be on the lower end of episode counts. The animation quality/ cost would also suggest less episodes. Hopefully there will be less filler if this is the case.

Hopefully it's not less than 12 though but some animated shows like Archer and Rick and Morty only do 8-10 per season. Plus I think a lot of the development occurred during the pandemic which could be another cause for less content

I get the feeling it's something of a serialised quasi-miniseries.

Maybe, though to be honest I just struggle to see the creative range with the Bad Batch. Perhaps it's my disinterest in them as characters influencing me, but if Dave had plenty more ideas to use up, this feels like a premise that isn't the perfect vehicle for them as it doesn't seem broad enough. It'd be really cool if it were a series of arcs focusing on various people and Jedi making their way through the early days of the Empire and the Purge.

I feel like it'll be very similar to Rebels structure/writing wise. Probably not a super tight storyline but some vague objective with a lot of filler along with guest appearances from other TCW characters. My prediction is at the beginning they will be involved in some of the final battles. I'm not sure who the enemy is if the droids were all shut down but there is a shot of a large skirmish with multiple AT-TEs... But later they will think their brothers are acting strange and different from before and eventually will not like being the only clones sort of swimming against the current. I'd guess they did not have inhibitor chips. They ditch the Empire to become mercenaries or something and get involved with Fennec (whose picture was recently revealed). I wonder if Crosshair betrays them or acts a double agent or something because there is someone wearing similar armor to his just in the elite squad deco. Maybe he'll even hunt the rest of the batch but I'm not sure. Honestly I'm mainly just excited for the potential Fallen Order content like Bracca. Really hope there are Purge Troopers as well. Maybe we'll even see how Gregor and Wolffe ended up. Basically everything other than the batch themselves are exciting lol. Also I didn't realize Echo was actually in the trailer but man does he look terrible...

Yeah, I can see them doing it that way, though that does make it feel a bit predictable lol I'm not sure that's Crosshair though. I think it might be a seperate character leading a bunch of clones meant to chase after the Batch. Still, given Crosshair's character, I feel like that could happen. Yeah, I just really hope they've got some choice guest stars involved, because I just know the Batch won't be able to carry a whole show on their own with how cliche and two dimensional they are I'd love to see Quinlan Vos appear as he did survive in Legends.

So I read volume 1 of the new Vader series Dark Heart of the Sith and it was quite good, I think it was one of my favorite Vader comics to date. I liked all the ties to the prequels with the Flashbacks and the Amidalians. Honestly I’m surprised it took him so long to figure out Kenobi involvement... since he knew he was on Mustafar with him. It would be interesting if you the security footage showed Yoda and if Vader would try and hunt him down
