So my cyber Monday package from the US finally came Can’t get Fox in Canada or on amazon. And the book is pretty solid, 300 pages with good quality pictures from all aspects of the current canon.

So Kenbo what black series figures you have? I got Anakin, Second Sister, Jedi Rey, Supreme Leader Kylo, Commander Fox and I have a Darth Revan supposed to arrive today. I also ordered a Tarkin (for cheap like $12) and Carbonized Sith Trooper yesterday, literally got the last one on amazon for $30 after that the price went to $180 from non amazon sellers lol. Mainly I just have a bunch of older ones in my wish list on amazon and hoping they get restocked/ go on sale at some point. Think I got Rex, Grievous, Thrawn , Jango, Boba, Bossk, Gree and the Mandalorian in there. They seem to get restocked a bit at some point... I got Revan for half of what he was when I looked a month ago, even though it was still a premium but it’s also Revan so Also why the hell do they not have a clone wars Ahsoka yet... or clone wars Maul but I guess they are literally just doing Dooku and only did Grievous last year....

I have a bunch now they're really addicting lol. Rex, Grievous, Battle Droid, General Veers, Boba, 40th anniversary Vader (came with stands and stuff), Anakin, ROTS Obi-Wan, Tartakovsky CW Obi-Wan, Cal Kestis. I also got a Bandai model kit Stormtrooper. Not black series but it's the same scale. They're really fun as well I'd recommend them if you like building stuff I really want the Purge Trooper but he's a GameStop exclusive and the stores I've checked at refuse to sell him even if they have him because they think he can only be sold with the Fallen Order bundle... I kind of want to round out my collection with him and Dooku I don't really want to have too many of these things. My idea was to have a small prequel only collection but i kinda got carried away lol. The yellow jacket Luke is also tempting but idk I think I have to limit myself...

I actually made some robes for Anakin and Obi-Wan it's too bad they don't come with them. Also I swapped the head from the General Kenobi onto the ROTS body as its original head looks retarded... The General Kenobi headsculpt is the best in the line imo. Idk if you noticed but I think since Rex they started using some photo scanning tech to make the face prints look realistic. So all the old painted faces look kinda bad in comparison

Unless it’s a character that doesn’t have a face... I want to get a Vader at some point. I just want to collect my favorite characters or characters that are rare/ high demand if I can get my hands on them for a deal.

GameStop is going to have a Jedi Knight Revan and a Heavy B1 droid from battlefront in March.
Looking forward to Bly, Plo-Koon and Dooku this year I think. Maybe the AOTC Kenobi idk

My wal Mart only had kind of meh ones on Boxing Day.
I mainly just order from amazon when there’s a deal on them. I could order from toys r us cause that’s still a thing here in Canada.
But I’m my city my only options are one wal mart, one Best Buy (which I don’t think carries any since their renovations) and maybe EB games but I only think EB would carry their own exclusives and probably only for a limited time after release.

He just came, by far the best figure yet. His limbs are very solid and move easy. The torn cape at the bottom is also pretty cool

Call me a bit butthurt, but I still find it hilarious how contrived the ST's version of the rebellion is. Not only is it a tired out trope (I'm now officially sick of "resistances") they use, but to make their Empire vs Rebellion 2 happen, they make the New Republic ludicrously complacent to the point of not bothering about the First Order threat and having their ENTIRE FLEET hang around this one planet that was supposed to be the First Order's only major roadblock.
I mean, what was seriously the matter with it just being the New Republic against the FO?

I mean, what was seriously the matter with it just being the New Republic against the FO? I think this actually bothers me more than them ruining all the characters. The First Order and the Resistance just aren't believable to me as belligerents and neither is their conflict I would've rather seen New Republic vs some outer rim or outside of the galaxy threat like the Vong

I would've rather seen New Republic vs some outer rim or outside of the galaxy threat like the Vong This is what these movies should have been about. Forget Palps and Anakin, and the Chosen One prophecy. That is all done. Now we can focus on a new hero who will stop a threat from beyond the known galaxy. But no... just remaking the OT makes more money...

But no... just remaking the OT makes more money... I kinda respected them a little bit at the beginning for at least moving past the Sith, hoping maybe the Knights of Ren would be different. But not only were they the exact fucking same, minus the Darth title, but they brought the literal Sith back anyway.

Here is all they had to do to make the Sequels not suck: - No First Order or Empire rip-offs. There can still be some small factions around the galaxy of Imperial loyalists, but no major imperial threat.
- Focus on the New Republic, which is trying to built on the ruins of the Old Republic. They shouldn't struggle too much because the Old Republic existed for thousands of years, and the only major interruption only lasted like 23 years. The tradition of democracy is still very fresh.
- You can still have Rey as the main character, who slowly discovers her powers. You can even still tie her to Palpatine in some way, I don't think that was a bad idea per se. Make her slightly older though (or set this story slightly earlier). Have her be a toddler when the Empire fell, so she has some memories of the traumatic events of her childhood after Sheev's demise. This would also show the other side of the Rebellion: have the Rebels try to take down Rey and her family, forcing her parents to leave her behind on Jakku. Her parents are later killed by some Rebel soldiers.
- No Palpatine revival.
- The main villains should indeed come from outside the galaxy, and they should have some special kind of powers that feel alien even for Star Wars.
- We learn that Palpatine was aware of their presence and was actually trying to prepare the galaxy for their future invasion. This gives Palpatine more of a motivation than just being evil for the sake of being evil. It shows he took control because he believes the galaxy needs to be ruled by an iron fist in order to survive. (but he is still mostly just evil, don't get me wrong)
- Have Luke as an important character and show how he is trying to rebuild the Jedi Order.
- Have the Force ghosts play a role in trying to defeat the intergalactic enemies.
- Anakin's prophecy is still fulfilled, as the Sith are still gone. But we still have an interesting story with a new threat and can be tied to the original 6 movies through Palpatine.

[/span][/ul][/quote] I liked this theory though I don't think there's any canon material to support it. But yeah like TROS completely ruins this. Palp just chilling for 30 years with a massive fleet and doing nothing with it and pretending to be dead makes no sense and is not something he would do

Changing Sheev's motivations might not have been completely consistent with the other movies... but still more consistent than what Disney did to the story...

Well Palpatine did know of outer galaxy threats tbh, Thrawn knew a great deal and instructed Palpatine on it. Thrawn should have been the main villain if they were to do imperials. Should have just done Thrawn trilogy.

I'll admit, I never really liked the Vong, mostly because of them being "Force proof" which just sounds like a joke I they removed that part I'd be cool with it, since I think an entirely alien threat would've introduced something fresh to the series.

Damn that's tough lol. But ultimately as bad as Rebels is, I don't think it really destroys the lore/canon the way the sequels do. And Empire era is way better than First Order era

Huh TCW has a 8.1 on IMDB and is the #40 popular show. Rebels has an 8 and is around the 100 mark. Resistance has below a 5 and is around #400.... I guess the Star Wars shows have an upswing in popularity from all the recent releases.
Also fun fact TCW micro series won 3 prime time emmys.....
