Or maybe that's just Mauls voice now, got to remember he's like 55-60 at this time and for that reason it makes me believe that it isn't a Holocron as a Holocron is really just a memory unit. Ezra had the Obi-Wan Holocron which was ROTS Obi-Wan. This can't be a Holocron of Maul that was recorded during TCW if he's a lot older now. Part of the dialogue sounds like it was directly ripped from TCW. The word "master" sounds exactly the same in that trailer as when Maul said it in the Lawless. I'm guessing they couldn't afford to record the full line though. I mean obviously recording the first half of the line already costed them so much they had to cut back on the design for Maul. |

That Yoda model makes me want to stab my computer screen and I didn't even realize Maul was in the trailer until I read your comments since his model looks nothing like Maul, and it is ridiculous Maul is in this anyway. So tired of this show turning all interesting Star Wars character into Potato Rules. The Force Awakens was great, but this show is still total crap. Wait that was Maul? Yeah, I didn't notice either but I read Maverick's comment and rewatched that part of the trailer and its him. He has the same eyes (other than that he looks nothing like Maul) and voice. |

I actually watched this one out of curiosity. Holy Potato Rules how does Yoda look so much worse than he did 8 yeas ago in TCW movie my god. I mean I thought Cham looked dumb but how can you Potato is Awesome up Yoda? Well anyway it looked pretty for Rebels at least. Well maybe not looked cool but a lot of cool stuff seems like it going on. It's like Rebels purposely makes character look ridiculous. Granted Leia doesn't look too bad, but pretty much every other character they have adapted to Rebels animation looks retarded. And claiming it has to do with the animation budget is just stupid because even with a low budget you can at least create a proper design... |

Oh yeah, Anakin looked like crap too. There's just no good attention to detail here or they just put detail in the wrong places. Like people gave TCW Dooku a lot of crap but he looks like a masterstroke of animation compared to everyone on Rebels who isn't a main character.

Good thing they had Ahsoka explain that the guy in the hologram was her master otherwise I would have thought it was just a random poorly animated Jedi. |

It would seem that the purpose of animating Maul is to let people realize it's Maul, which TCW did perfectly. Everyone recognized Maul when he briefly appeared in that crystal ball despite the distorted vision and mist, but plenty of people didn't recognize Maul in this trailer. |

Right now they don't 100% know that I'm pretty sure he appeared in some kind of vision, not something the Sith could see. Anakin looks good but what he's wearing doesn't look like a Jedi tunic or his season 1-3 armor outfit... I can't even see Maul's face that well it just looks black with yellow eyes so idk what you guys are talking about.....

I don't understand the cross guard saber they showed. I looked up Kylo's saber and it says the side bits are like exhaust because the crystal is cracked causing the blade to be unstable. Also I thought the "thousands of year old" cross guard design only applied to the metal side bits on the hilt not the actual blades. The one Ezra is holding is way too stable meaning the crystal is not cracked meaning it's impossible....

If Maul or Ahsoka are killed in this I'm just going to personally declare this shit non-canon. Messing up Hondo is one thing, but at least he is alive to appear in non-shitty animation or live action in the future. But Maul, and especially Ahsoka have good chances of dying here, and dying in this show would permanently ruin their characters.
