Traitors to the Empty Lord - Need one more player! (jk)

So I decided that I wanted to host a game this summer. But because I don't plan to continue the Secrets of the Force story as a game. I decided to do something different entirely. Something not set in the Star Wars universe, but the in the universe of the RuneScape lore. As some of you may know I have a series called The Cycle of Gielinor, set around the story of RuneScape's Gods. To be fair, I haven't worked on the series in a while because I noticed that with the last 2 episodes only Newan seemed to read them, and he already knew much of the story.

While the series is based on RuneScape lore I have added lots of things to fill the gaps (the game sometimes leaves things intentionally vague or doesn't explain certain events in great detail). So most of the story so far was made up, based on a few main plotpoints. I have decided to work on the next few episodes, which would lead up to this new game I have planned.

The story of this game will be set about 8000 years before the events of RuneScape. The playable characters will consists of followers of Zaros, a powerful god. Zaros already appeared in some chapters of my series and he is one of the main characters of RuneScape's story. For 10 years his character was shrouded by mystery until his true intentions and history were finally revealed in 2014, making him one of the most popular subjects for theories and speculations. As you may have noticed I have a slight obsession with him, as both my title and signature reference him.

This game will be set in a time were Zaros rules most of the planet Gielinor (where RuneScape takes place). The lands he rules over are called the Zarosian Empire. But Zaros has actually left his empire, he rarely gives commands and is only been seen by his most loyal subjects on rare occasions. In Zaros's name the seven Pontifexes rule from their seats in the capital, Senntisten, but Zaros's throne is left empty. And as often is the case when a throne is empty, someone will try to claim it.

Zaros's most loyal follower and Pontifex Maximus, Azzanadra discovers a plot to overthrow Zaros and the Pontifexes and throw the empire into chaos. He also learns that some of the people involved are high-ranking Zarosians. So he summons all suspects to the Empty Throne to reveal the Traitors to the Empty Lord.

NOTE: Mahjarrat are an important race in the RuneScape universe. They can change their appearance and survive for many thousands of years through sacrificing one of their own every few centuries. They are also extremely powerful and could easily take on a dozen of humans in combat.

Playable characters:

• Zamorak: The second most powerful Mahjarrat and Legatus Maximus (highest military title) of the Zarosian armies. (Namialus)
• Sliske: A powerful Mahjarrat and Praefectus Praetorio, head of the Zarosian Secret Police. A slippery, cunning and unreliable person. But he was one of the first to swear loyalty to Zaros. (Newan)
• Zemouregal: A Mahjarrat of average power. He serves under Zamorak and his cousin, Lucien. But he secretly hopes to one day get a better position. (?6 (CBK))
• Lucien: Zemouregal's cousin, who has always had a fascination for power. He serves as a Legatus in the Zarosian army. (Maverick-Jedi-Valen)
• Char: Originally an Auspah, who worked as a dancer. But Zaros took notice of her skills and brought her into his elite group of followers. She claims to know what Zaros looks like underneath his armor and robes, leaving some to believe that she is his concubine. (Kenbo)
• Nex: A weird creature of unknown origins. Rumors say that she was created by Zaros himself, but some claim that those were rumors spread by Zaros himself to make the other gods fear him, because they are incapable of creating life. Nex is a Legatus in the Zarosian army. (Star)
• Wahisietel: A Mahjarrat of average power. But his mental skills impressed Zaros and he was therefore given a position of some power.
• Hannibus: One of the last Dragon Riders. His race has had fertility problems for centuries and is slowly going extinct. But Zaros came to their planet and promised to help them solve this problem after they had helped him win his war against the Desert Gods. However, Zaros still hasn't fulfilled this promise, causing some of the Dragon Riders to refer to him as the Lord of Empty Promises. Hannibus however, still believes that Zaros will fulfill his promise. (Spidyyr)
• Ocellus: A Virii Demon and Zaros´s pet. His intelligence is comparable to that of a dog. He was not actually summoned by Azzanadra, he was just sleeping in front of the Empty Throne. (bane)
