I found some fully voiced S7 episodes that are unfinished. Pretty cool to watch.

For f*cks sake, why couldn't they just animate the episodes and release them as part of the lost missions?

Because they were focusing on rebels and it costs a lot of money.

Because they were focusing on rebels and it costs a lot of money. It really doesn't but they're gonna focus all their animators on that.

Well Rebels is the best animation on TV right now Lol no way. Just because Rebels is CGI doesn't mean that its animation is any better than a 2D cartoon or something. Plus, the CGI in Rebels is horrendous. And if you're talking about in terms of actual quality (story, characters etc) , then Rebels would probably be in the top 50%. Although that's mainly because there is barely any decent cartoons nowadays...

Although that's mainly because there is barely any decent cartoons nowadays... 2D kinda suck.. 2D can be a brilliant animation format whereas CGI has to be done very well if it is to have any effect. For me, 2D can really bring life to certain things in ways CGI can't and vice versa but I see CGI as a more dull format, 2D just seems much more vibrant & brings more life to the animation. Also, 2D animation is usually drawn by hand, which means it is genuinely a product of the mind rather than bunch of codes clumped together on a program to form an image. At the moment, I think Rebels' CGI is bad but that's not to say it can't get better. Star Wars is unique in that most of the time 2D animation will flat out not work because of the nature of it. That being said, the 2003 Clone Wars micro series was a good example of 2D animation used effectively & I would not want that particular series done any other way.

I don't not like the micro series it was okay for what it was but it's not amazing... Animation also wasn't anything special/that good and well scripted? If I remember correctly the characters only had a few lines and a lot of it was just Clones making hand gestures.....

If I remember correctly the characters only had a few lines and a lot of it was just Clones making hand gestures..... But those are opinions I guess Script isn't just about what's spoken. In fact it's got a lot to do with what's not spoken. In the microseries, fast paced action made up for the lack of depth because the characters spoke for themselves through what they did. As for the animation, it was good and well suited for this cartoon, you could tell what was going on and what the characters were feeling most of the time and that is really the only thing animation is there to convey. The micro series also helped paint a more gloomy picture for the Republic than TCW. We see a beleaguered organisation which is having its sole protectors, the Jedi Knights being struck down by new foes and a rising Separatist threat. The microseries, like all cartoons, did have a few flaws. In fact characters like Ventress were only in for brief moments and should have been developed more. But even with these problems you need to consider the purpose of the 2003 series as opposed to TCW. The microseries was just supposed to give an overview on the events just before the Battle of Coruscant whereas TCW was supposed to detail the whole 22BBY-19BBY period.

What you think of a voice is a matter of opinion . Besides, Anakin sounding whiny fits his character: an immature but powerful Jedi who can't control his emotions.

The micro series looks messy IMO because of the animation. No offense to anyone, that's just how I feel about it. It was very direct with its stories and was good considering what it was meant to be, but TCW is clearly superior. Plus I feel like some of the scenes were very unrealistic (i.e. Mace Windu punching Super Battle Droids and taking down like 300; Grievous swinging his lightsabers like a maniac while easily beating 4+ Jedi). Still, it's not terrible, just compared to TCW and Rebels, I think it's the weakest series, but it's cool if you like it more than Rebels.

The "unrealistic" nature of the microseries is what made it so great. There was always something going on whereas TCW felt plain & sterile at times. You also have to see that the series was never meant to compete with any other SW Tv Show and altogether was only 2hrs long. TCW ran for 6 seasons so obviously would feel superior but in reality TCW done many things wrong that the 2003 series got right. I don't have a particular preference but it annoys me when philistines say its crap due to a few things and do not give the show a fair hearing.

The old Clone Wars series was far worse than TCW in my opinion. It lacked depth in terms of story and all important characters were too overpowered compared to the movies. But it had some good moments... and it is better than Rebels.

How does being unrealistic and not making sense make anything good? I mean, maybe if you're The Simpsons but usually nah...
