I think the whole beginning scene had to do with something foreshadowing the likely death of Èomer. It makes it sound like he'll die, but IDK if it's that simple. I think something may happen to where he doesn't die, but maybe I'm wrong... It's interesting though, and I hope I'm at least somewhat in the right idea of what that was about it else I'll feel pretty stupid...  |

Answer: Eomer was summoning a crossroads demon. He decided to sell his soul in exchange for practically any wish. He traveled to the intersection of 4 roads, and buried a box containing a picture of himself, graveyard dirt, and a black cat bone (among other things). Answer: Eomer needs to accomplish his mission at all costs. But he doesn't doesn't have enough time too, because of his impending death. So he summoned a demon in the hopes of bringing back someone powerful enough to help him. I don't know it's my best guess based on what little into there was. |

That was a few hours ago though, but I've already seen them.
