Well, I think that applies to a lot of people. But I'm sure you also have opinions on some political subjects...

I know almost nothing when it comes to polities.

If prefer not to go into depth too much with modern politics, in case arguements do arise, so how about some (sorry Pinda, this is the best I can come with right now ) Thomas Jefferson vs Alexander Hamilton? The beginning of the parties for America. Which view did you like better?

I tend to avoid Politics.

But i'm sure there are people here somewhere that want to talk about it, just not me. Sorry.

Same. I'd say mine are mainly socialist, democratic, pacifist and globalist

Indeed. One worldwide government would make wars far less likely. And eventually beliefs and ideas of cultures would start to merge into each other, that would make wars even less likely because wars are also caused by culture differences.

Well luckily we're going in the right direction with organizations like the EU and UN. Too bad people begin too see the EU as a bad thing... And yes, because of power-hungry people and nationalism this is going to take a long time.

Hmmmmmmmmmm. Not exactly sure what my views are. But I dislike corporations and big gov'ts are a problem, IMO. The citizens should always maintain the right to change that.

Big governments in what sense?

You mean a one world government? That would in no way ever work. People are too different. To be united isn't a basic human quality.

One World Government is just the vanity of some tyrant wanting to say, "I own it all", and like Alexander, who deliberately shattered his kingdom upon his death so that nobody else could be the ruler of the world, such ego maniacs could care less about the population living under that one world rule. It's all about their name in the history books and on monuments and no matter how many have to die for it.

Well I think the government should take care of education, security and ensuring basic needs for everyone. But I don't think they should get involved with people's personal lives.

The reality is that power will attract the very sort of people who should not have it, who will do anything to get it, and therefore once they have it, will do anything with it.

Human history proves that as soon as we are all slaves to a one world government, it is inevitable that this government will fall into the hands of another Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, or Torquemada. No purported safeguards can prevent that from happening. Hitler was elected by the German people, and our own recent history proves that elections can be rigged by powerful individuals or agencies.


Imagine the world today if Hitler had won WW2. That is the world which MUST sooner or later come to exist, cannot help but come to exist, under a one world government. That danger alone, of the creation of a one world dictatorship waiting to be plucked as a prize by the most ruthless cutthroat that humanity can breed, is alone reason to abandon the suggestion of a one world government.
