Really cool maps.  I'm actually planning on doing maps for my games/series soon (maps of Trazibar). I just haven't gotten around to it yet.  But it's neat to see I wasn't the only one with the idea. |

Thanks. I've also been working on a map for a fantasy world I was sort of making up that I might use in the future. And you should do some, because it's pretty fun to do.  That's pretty cool potato I kind of wondered what else was out there Thanks, and yeah, there came a point when I realized it hasn't been totally clear what's all in this universe. |

Thanks, and that would have made things interesting... but there's other things in store for Dan. Like you said on your Flickr comments about him being Simon 2.0, his main story arc this season will be to sort of test him and see if he goes down the same path Simon did.

Even though this entire season's connected like always, it can also sort of be split up into three main parts. These first three episodes acted as the first part. So I think I'll post some trivia for them now and continue to do it for each main part of Season 3. Earlier on, I planned for the Eether Crystal to be called the Energizer Crystal, then I realized that sounded ridiculous so I changed it. Simon was originally the one who would kill Leeson. In fact, I was originally planning for Poeger's guards to help Leeson kill Simon as well, but I thought it'd make more sense for them to stay in Bakerstown. It also made a lot more sense for Sen to kill Leeson after their conflict. Not to mention Simon, Sen, and Leeson sort of had a mini Frodo, Sam, and Gollum relationship with Leeson pulling Simon and Sen away from each other. Nimroid first appeared in a short scene in Season 2 for those who don't remember. George's role as Simon and Leeson's prisoner was originally going to go to a random member of the Mantendo, but I figured it would make it more dramatic if it was an actual character that had to die. I'd also say that George sort of reminded Simon of Bruce, which is one of the reasons why he didn't want to kill him. Bruce's totem was added in during filming. When Simon pushed over the box of Bruce's old stuff, I decided to add the totem as a symbol of sorts, but even I wasn't totally sure what its purpose was yet. I came up with a couple ideas, but I have one final one that will come into play later this season. The opening scene of episode 1 depicts a scene towards the end of the season. It also had the new Law Enforcement Director in it, which I liked to add in because someone had to replace Monn after he died. That's it for now, but I think I might come up with more I forgot later. |

What makes this series unnerving is that the although Simon is unquestionably a bad person at this point, the motives for everything he does actually make a lot of sense... It's scary because the journeys Simon takes aren't all that far off from what people would do in real life. Max's death and his own capture made him angry. Quan's death the Law Enforcers made him cruel yet somewhat redeemable. And then Bruce's death as well as the Veylos made him truly evil. We still get a ray of humanity every once in a while, but this series kind of makes us ask ourselves what we would really do if we lost everything.

Simon reminded me of Red Death a little at the end of the episode. And like Slider said, Dan is slightly like Simon early on. Poeger deserved to die though. He annoyed me. |

Yeah, he annoyed pretty much everyone in this canon, which made it fitting for him to get sort of an execution-like death in his own town in front of everyone. But I still liked writing his character to make him a greedy wine drinking criminal. |

Watched the episode, it's really setting the rest of the season up well. So I guess Dan and his men will end up attacking Hung Soy, won't they? Yah that won't go well. And I'm hoping the Yetis can go Rise of the Planet of the Apes on Vish Ta.
