I have 2 dogs and 2 African Dwarf frogs. I wish I had ADFs... are they easy to care for? Fun? What tank are they in? What do you feed them?

I have 2 dogs and 2 African Dwarf frogs. I wish I had ADFs... are they easy to care for? Fun? What tank are they in? What do you feed them? Yes very easy to care for I only clean there tank once a week and add food every few days. Well there fully aquatic but I like to watch them swim around there also nocturnal for the most part so you would have to wait till the evening or night to see them do much of anything. There also much better to keep in pairs since there social creatures you really only need 1 gallon per ADF I have one female and one Male the pet store guy picked them at random though the female is much bigger but the male croacks alot expecially when they mate which is about once every week . Now for tank I have a 2,5 gallon tank that I clean every 6-8 days it's the perfect size for them I have 2 artificial plants and one bridge which has hiding spots under it where they usually sleep. Lastly for food I feed them Omega 1 shrimp pellats I put 6 in at a time so it's enough for both of them and I throw them in the corners. They eat it thou I never actually see them eat I know they do becuase it's always gone after a few days and I had them for 4 months now.

And they where quite small when I got the, but they grew and are much more athletic and swim and jump around alot there actually really hard to catch now. And the female always escapes the net half the times but they can survive out of water for a brief amount of time but I wouldn't recommend it,

ACFs grow to 8 inches and are 10x more aggressive... ACFs only have webbing on the back legs, ADFs have webbing on both...

I just noticed the female frog is missing a hand....... It's cleanly cut off though there's no other fish in the tank except the male african dwarf frog but he's half the size of the female and I can't see him inflicting and real damage to her. Well her hands are very small so perhaps it was always like that and I didnt notice. But she still swims fine and frogs can survive without a hand.

Sometimes, the stress of shipping makes them nibble each other. For that, you should name the male one Jawa. )D Tell your parents you named it that because it's small.

My frogs are gonna die. Or should I say one is going to die. One has one arm and is dead by getting stuck under a rock and the other one barely moves. It just stays at the bottom. Maybe I should feed it to my snake.

Actually there's no need to invest in a bigger tank right now as one would probably be considered a baby as he's really small and the other is developing I will probably get a 5 gallon when there bigger with a filter that's safe for them. And Im not sure what happended to her hand but I'm going to put her in her own small maybe half a gallon tank for awhile just so it reduces the chance of infection and I'm going to change the water in her small tank daily just until I see some improvement like the skin growing over it. Too bad frogs don't recover limbs like Lizards
