What is the breif overveiw of what the Hunger games is about? I never really knew and I wonder if it is something I might like or not. So basically in the future, several teenagers, 2 from each district (each has its own product) fight to the death for fame and glory. Katniss Everdeen, from district 12, the coal miners, must win and stuff. So she does, and so riots break out and stuff... Just read the Wikipedia page.

What is the breif overveiw of what the Hunger games is about? I never really knew and I wonder if it is something I might like or not. Basically there's a bunch of districts after a huge war. The dictator government (the capital) has the hunger games every year to keep the districts in line and inspire fear into the hearts of the citizens so no rebellions happen. They choose 2 people from each district every year to fight to the death in totals there is 12 females and 12 males and only one winner.

Then every twenty five years there would be a quarter quell. These Hunger Games would be special. Different from the rest because if something special in them. Catching Fire takes place during the 75th annual Hunger Games, or the third quarter quell. This quarter quell would have two winners from each Hunger Games in each District compete. That's where Catching Fire comes into play and is mostly about that.

What is the breif overveiw of what the Hunger games is about? I never really knew and I wonder if it is something I might like or not. So there is this county called pannana. Or something like that. There is 12 districts. And a capital. A long time ago they rebelled against the capital but lost. So each year each district must give one boy and one girl between the age of 12-18 to fight to the death in the hunger games.

I'm just now reading the Hunger games. (Yeah, I'm pretty slow here ). The twelve districts formed a Rebellion against the capitol and lost. But from what I recall it doesn't tell you why they rebelled in the first place does it?

Well, it's heavily implied that the Capitol was just as bad as they are during Katniss' time so that's why the Districts rebelled.

I don't really understand how Catching Fire can continue the series of the Hunger Games. The first book was almost wrapped up perfectly like a single placed book by itself. How you add unto that, I'm not quite sure, but book one was really good! Hopefully Catching Fire is better or equivalent to what the first book was.
